Chapter 16
16. Love at First Sight
“I was wondering why you ended your relationship with Mike so quickly. It tums out that you are having a new date. This man
was very noble. I don’t think there are many cars in R City that are the same as his, right?” Sally crossed her arms and watched
the car leave with her head held high as she teased.
“What nonsense are you talking about?” Jessie rolled her eyes and did not know when Sally, who had squeezed to her side,
tumed around and went in.
Sally closely chased after her and had a face full of gossips, “When did you guys know each other? He can drive that kind of car.
He must have a lot of money. Just now, he said that those two children belonged to boss’s family, so what position did he have?
Was he the kind of person who was above everyone else under boss? It seemed that he did not know how to coax the children
at all. They are definitely not married yet, right? How did you two get to know each other?”
“The children belong to boss. Didn’t you think that the car might also belong to boss? Maybe he’s just driving for boss?” Jessie
refuted her.
Sally was single, and her parents kept urging her to get married. She was also very curious about the relationship between men
and women.
Hearing Jessie say this, Sally thought for a while and nodded, “That’s true. But based on his figure and looks, even if he is the
driver, you can still consider how to develop him. Didn’t you always advocate love?”
Jessie’s face stiffened slightly and paused for a moment before saying, “That is because I am stupid.”
Sally secretly scolded herself in her heart and pretended to pat her mouth as she smiled apologetically, “I a m sorry my dear, my
mouth does not know how to speak. You are right. In the future, as long as we live a wonderful life alone, all men and love will
f*cking get lost!”
Jessie giggled. “You have to continue to live a wonderful life by yourself. Be careful that your parents use knives to force you to
go on blind dates.”
This sentence hit Sally’s sore spot and she wailed as she laid on the bar counter. “A deadly blind date!”
Mumen Group, 28th floor, president’s office.
Rick handed the prepared documents to Alex.
Alex raised his eyes and glanced at him, then looked at the computer screen again. He said sarcastically.” Did you go to class
with them?”
Rick had been with Alex for more than ten years. Rick could basically guess what he meant with any tone.
He knew that Alex did not want him to come back late, so he quickly answered apologetically, “Young master Felix refused to eat
breakfast. Lisa recommended the Louisdin coffee shop downstairs. She said · there were drawings of milk and desserts that the
children liked there, so I took them there and wasted some time. I just came back late.”
The computer screen Alex was looking at was the information about Jessie’s personal information. It indicated that she was now
in the Louisdin coffee shop, as barista.
His eyebrows slowly knitted together as he stroked his lower jaw with one hand. “Louisdin coffee shop?”
“Yes, it is just across the street from our building. The little fellows were quite familiar with one of the female employees inside. In
Mountain and River Residence. Young master Felix didn’t eat the cake was
made by your family chef, but when the female employee gave it to her, he immediately ate it. I even found it magical when I
looked at it. Could it be... Does he like to stick to beautiful and gentle aunties? However, that female shop assistant is really
beautiful.” Thinking of the harmonious scene between the two little fellows and that female shop assistant, Rick once again
laughed in disbelief.
The only person who could be familiar with the two little fellows was Auntie Jessie, whom he had met in the hospital previously.
Alex suddenly felt that the smile on Rick’s face was somewhat eye-piercing. His ink-black eyes narrowed slightly, and his voice
also became cold. “She is beautiful?”
“Yes, she is quite beautiful. Her skin is white and her appearance is very refined. Especially when she is doing the latte art, her
appearance is really pretty.” Rick recalled Jessie’s appearance and his expression was somewhat fascinated.
A thick stack of documents fell in front of him.
Alex’s expression was ice cold. “Today, before you get off work, you have to review all of these and bring them back!”
Rick was so frightened that he instantly came back to his senses. He looked at the documents. “Boss, haven’t these projects
already been considered for not being approved?”
“I asked you to review them, so you will review them. When did you leam more and more nonsense?”
“Yes, I will go and interrogate them now!”
Rick came out with a thick document in his arms. He wanted to cry but had no tears. They were clearly having a good
conversation just now. Why did he suddenly lose his temper? What was more frightening was that he had always been known as
the person who understood boss the best. At this moment, he actually did not understand how he had offended boss.
Could it be that he had reached the period of tiredness at work, and even his ability to observe expressions had begun to fade?
Damn it! From now on, he had to put in 120 thousand points of spirit into work!
—
The Louisdin coffee employees were divided into several shifts. Jessie was in the daytime shift today, and she got off work at
5:30 PM in the afternoon.
Sally was the same as her.
The two of them arranged to go to Jessie’s new home to cook dinner at night.
At 5:15, the two of them were doing the finishing touches and preparing to hand over the night shift to their colleagues before
getting off work.
Outside, the staff called Jessie, “Two small guests pointed out that they were looking for you.”
“Little customer?” Jessie walked out and saw Felix and Fia standing side by side at the door.
They were still wearing Harrow’s kindergarten uniform in the morning. They were also carrying the same pink and blue school
bag.
Their pair of black crystal-like eyes simultaneously looked in the direction of the bar counter. Their expressions were very
serious.
With just a glance, one could tell how cute they were.
Sally laughed, “These two little fellows fell in love with you at first sight. You guys only met once in the morning and came back at
night. They are quite devoted.”
