Chapter 22 - Siofra's POV
We decided to have the wedding outside during sunset. I didn’t want to expose Kieran to much in the sun. Unlike other vampires, Kieran's eyes and skin get a little irritated. He also gets weaker in speed and strength when he is exposed to the sun. Other vampires burst into flames. Because of that, only his sisters will be able to attend. Like Kieran, his two sister’s eyes and skin get irritated too.
I was inside my room getting ready. Weylyn asked a couple of females from his pack if they can help with my hair and makeup. I thought it would take hours to get ready but it took only an hour for them to finish my hair and makeup. The also helped me with the dress and heels. My mom along with Weylyn’s mom comes into my room. Tears were coming down their faces.
“Oh sweetie! You are so beautiful,” my mother says. Weylyn’s mother then speaks but lifts up a beautiful necklace for me to see. “Siofra… This necklace has been passed down to each royal Luna for generations. I wore this on my wedding day and I would love for you to have it and to wear on your special day.” I smiled and said, “Thank you.” She then gently puts the necklace around my neck. The necklace is a moonstone with small diamonds encircling the moonstone. The necklace is a beautiful and delicate heirloom that I will treasure until we pass it down to our children.
I went to the big mirror to see the finish look. I was mesmerized. The jewelry, veil, and heels adorned my dress that I got from the boutique. My hair cascaded down my back in soft curls. I wore a tiara that is a gift from Korina and Katherine. There is a small sunstone in the middle of the tiara with diamonds throughout. My makeup is light but accentuates my best features. I felt and look beautiful.
‘Everything has to be perfect.’ Time is of the essence. Sunset was starting. My bridal party has already walked out. My father is waiting by the door that leads out to the garden. As he sees me a tear sheds from his eyes. “So beautiful my sweet baby girl…” my father said as he lightly kissed my forehead. He extended his arm for me to hold onto. I smiled up at him. As we were walking to our final destination, I couldn’t help but gasped at the scenery. Everything is so beautiful.
Flowers were beautifully decorated every where you look. There was oak wooden benches on each side of the aisle that was facing towards the forest. Each bench had roses, carnations, lilies, and hydrangeas. Rose petals were showered in the middle. At the end of the aisle stood both of my mates, Kieran and Weylyn. Two cherry blossom trees were above them giving a beautiful view. My breath was taken away. This time, not about the scenery but my handsome mates. In that moment, time froze.
I now stood in front of them. My father put my right hand in Weylyn's hand and my left hand in Kieran’s hand. We then looked at the officiant who then started the ceremony. I spoke my vows to Weylyn first and then to Kieran. My love for them shining through each word I said to them. Weylyn put his ring on my left ring finger. Kieran put his ring on my right ring finger. They put thought into the rings. I then did the same and put my ring from me and put it on their ring fingers. We each said “I do!”
“Before we allow them to kiss their bride, they will first mark her completing their bond for each other,” the officiant said. Without wasting time Weylyn and Kieran went to each side of where my neck and shoulder meet. The both elongated their teeth and bit down simultaneously. I flinched due to the pain but that subsided and turned into pleasure. They then retract their teeth and cleaned any blood from the mark. We are officially bonded for eternity.
Before we could kiss, the light from the moon shined more brightly on the three of us. During this time, our eyes started to glow brighter than usual. New found strength engulfed the three of us. Power radiating from our skin. Because of this, Weylyn howled to the moon. His pack joined him by howling shortly after. Kieran and his sister’s fangs elongated. Light started erupting from my families hands and my hands.
All of a sudden, everything stopped. A glow started showing on our wrists and then quickly dissipated. In the place of glow is a tattoo with an infinity symbol and three dots beside it. Our family is in shock about what just happened. The tattoo is a gift from our gods. A tattoo that represents our union and that our Gods approved of it.
