Chapter One - Hundred Twenty - Four: Restrictions
One-Hundred Twenty-Four: Restrictions
Dustin
Good god, I thought this entire pack was going to implode when Jordyn and Xaydyn disappeared. We didn't realize it at first, and to be honest, we had no idea how long they had been gone. Our first clue was when an ear- piercing screaming started in the middle of a very important business call that I was taking in my office at home. I quickly ended the call and started running down the stairs. The screaming and crying got louder as I got to the kitchen. By the time I got to the kitchen, I had found Dominick having a meltdown of epic proportions. What in the hell is the problem? He tried to push his way past me, but I picked him up. Well, that is definitely not what he wanted. He started hitting me so I would put him down. Mykayla comes running frantically into the kitchen.
“What is wrong with him?” She asks me.
“I have no idea. I was in my office on the phone when this started.” I tell her.
She tries to take him from me, but he wants nothing to do with her. Peter and Xion come walking in at that moment. They are shocked to see him having such a meltdown.
“Where are Jordyn and Xaydyn” Seth asks as he drinks his soda.
I look around, and that's when it hits me. Neither of the other two is here. That's weird, and I bet that is the reason behind the epic meltdown. I start mind-linking people to see if anyone has seen the other two. No one has. Well, shit, I am trying to avoid sending this mind link. I text Reecie instead to ask, but he hasn't seen them either. He thought they were with Dominick in the rec room. Not five minutes later, both Reecie and Kaleb show up. Great, this is not what I want to do right now. Dominick still has his meltdown.
“What's going on?" Reecie asks.
“We are not sure, but Jordyn and Xaydyn are nowhere to be found,” I explain.
Three seconds is all it took for my best friend to lose his shit. Great, now I have two people having epic meltdowns. Back down to the rec room, we try to figure out where they could be. Mykayla asks Dominick, but all he does is the point at the ground. Not helpful. Mykayla lets Mykenzie and Kylani know what is going on. About an hour later, both girls walk in with the two errant toddlers in their arms. Well, it seems that Jordyn and Xaydyn had a new ability arise. I think it is time to put a few restrictions on these two until they get old enough to use and control their powers and abilities appropriately. I don't need my pack imploding or several people having epic meltdowns. Reecie
I was just as panicked as Kaleb when I found out Xaydyn had gone missing. I just am better at hiding it. I had a feeling that they went looking for someone. I know Dominick got left behind because the other two probably couldn't figure out how to bring him along. I have never seen a child have a meltdown like that. I was impressed. I was not surprised when Mykenzie and Kylani came back carrying the two toddlers. Now that everything has calmed down and Kaleb is breathing normally again, it is time to have a very serious talk. I look at both of them. Kaleb has not put Jordyn down or let her out of his sight since Kylani came back with her. At least Dominick stopped screaming.
“Ok, we should probably do something so that these two can’t leave a certain area, say the pack territory,” I tell Mykenzie.
“Yeah, we were thinking that as soon as we saw them in the underworld,” Kylani replies.
“Should we do something to help curb their powers as well?" Dustin asks.
“No, right now, while they are powerful, they can only do small stuff and nothing that is that strong. As they grow, they will get more powerful, and as that happens, we will teach them when and how to use and control them.” Mykenzie says.
I am just glad that they agree to put some travel restrictions on these two. I know they just wanted to find their mothers but seriously. I thought Kaleb's head was going to explode. I will admit I was not much better. I am surprised that both of them were as agreeable as they were. I expected an argument.
“You two are being very compliant with this idea,” I say.
“Well we can't have them wandering around in the different realms,” Mykenzie replies.
We all agreed and decided that we would restrict all the kid's movements to the pack territory only. Even Bryn thought it would be a good idea with her twins. They haven't started showing signs of their powers yet, but it is a matter of time. Imyra thinks that having one or two people keep track of them is also a good idea. Once their pets get old enough, we can get them to babysit those three, but until then, we need to find someone. I wonder who we can get to watch these three troublemakers.
Draydon
It's been three days since the catastrophe of those two little troublemakers deciding that it would be a good idea and find their mothers in the underworld. I was surprised that their mothers agreed to put restrictions on them. I really thought they would put up more of a fight than they did. Imyra came up with the brilliant idea to find someone to babysit the three of them. I was impressed with the volume that Dominick got to during his meltdown. I think this idea is fantastic. What was even more fantastic was when Rye thought that his sister would be a perfect fit for this position. He also said that she was getting bored at home. I have no problem with this. It means she gets to spend more time here and with me. Satyira my beautiful fae. She has the three trouble-causing toddlers out back in the enclosed playground that Dustin had built to entertain them. I sit here watching her stand there, ensuring they don’t cause another catastrophe. She is so beautiful. She doesn't even reach my shoulders which is too damn cute. I watch as she quickly places her long fire red hair in a messy bun on top of her head. Her beautiful grass-green eyes are watching the kids very intently. She has to be careful in the sun because her creamy white skin burns easily. She is wearing a tiny pair of cut-off jean shorts and a black tank top that she is having difficulty holding in her large breasts. I have no idea how I got so lucky, but I am not going to complain.
“I don't care if you watch my sister, but please don't eye fuck her in front of me.” Rye comments.
“Well, when I started you weren't here,” I tell him.
He lets out a groan and rolls his eyes. I expected him to have a little more of a problem with this, but he doesn't. He was just happy to see his sister happy. Their parents are cool and have accepted me fully. Which I was glad for.
“Did Mykenzie or Kylani tell you what they heard when they were in the underworld?"Rye asks me.
“Yeah that someone wants to get their hands on a dragon,” I answer.
We were all surprised when they told us this. Unfortunately, Kylani didn’t see who said it. They said something about it and left it at that. I am wondering if that would be a viable plan. Maybe when Nigel comes back with his plan, I will talk to him about it. I don't like the guy; I wonder if even toying with the idea of using one of us as bait would be helpful. Asmoday is on an island. There are literally millions of islands worldwide. Who knows, maybe we can find out where Haze is. That is still in the works as well. I bet Asmoday has more than one island.
