Chapter One - Hundred Five: Surprise Babies
One - Hundred Five: Surprise Babies
Dustin
We were all at Marcus's perfecting our plans for sending Brandon into Darrius’s territory to find the other two bears. The plan was simple: find the bears then he would let us know and a few of us would get there and sedate them and bring them back here to join lan. It was simple and should be easy to accomplish. Of course, this is our group we are talking about. Nothing is ever simple. Also, nothing ever goes as planned. We were just finishing up when Dad came bursting through the door. We all jumped and there were quite a few swear words said. I looked at him as my heart was still pounding and gave him a glare. I could tell by the look on his face that something was wrong.
“Dad, what is going on?" I asked.
“Mykayla and Kylani are at the pack hospital. They are both in labor.” He gasps out.
The room went silent for two seconds before all hell broke loose. Kaleb and I sprinted out the door and towards the hospital. Kylani shouldn't be due for another month at least. Mykayla had at least a week or two to go. When we got there the hospital was in panic mode. We followed dad to where they were. Luckily they had rooms right next to each other. Before we went in the doctor pulled us aside. Well shit, this can't be good.
“Alpha, Beta the babies are fine. We are running a test right now to make sure your twins are fine Beta.” The doctor said.
We both nod in to let her know we understand. Thank god that they are ok. I was seriously starting to worry that something had gone terribly wrong. I walked into Mykayla’s room and she is laying on the bed smiling at mom. She is acting as if everything is fine. She doesn't seem to be in pain. What the fuck.
“Hey baby, we are doing fine. I already had them give me my epidural.” She tells me.
Well, that explains why she seems so comfortable. I walk over to her and give her a kiss and rub her stomach. I turn to mom and give her a kiss on her forehead. Seeing her nice and calm makes me feel so much better. I take a seat on the bed by her and we sit there for a while. I decided to go check on Kaleb and Kylani to make sure she is doing ok.
“I am gonna go check on Kylani next door. I'll let you know how she is doing.” I tell her.
She gave me a smile and a kiss and turned to walk out. I am glad to see her so calm. I am hoping this is a little girl. I really want a little princess of my own. I knock on the door to the room and Kaleb tells me to enter.
Kaleb
I am sure my heart stopped when Uncle Reece busted through the door and said that Kylani was in labor. The worst possible thoughts started going through my head. She is not due for at least another month. I just hope the babies are ok. When we got to the hospital and the doctor pulled us aside before we could go into the rooms I was certain she was going to tell me something bad. When she said the babies are fine I let out a breath I didn’t even realize I was holding. I walked into her room to find her sitting up eating fries with Mykenzie. She appeared to be fine and comfortable.
“Hey, are you ok?” She asked.
“Yeah, how are you gorgeous?” I ask her.
“I am good. I had the doctor give me an epidural now and I feel great.” She says smiling.
When she smiled at me I calmed down. I am still concerned as to why she is in labor so early. I sat down by her as she and Mykenzie kept talking and eating their fries. I have to laugh at these two. About an hour later the doctor came in and gave us the results of the test. Everything looks good and the babies are fully developed. The doctor thinks since they are part wolf that it helped them develop faster. This seriously put my nerves at ease. I get comfortable on the bed by Kylani. I know this process is not fast. It took her many hours to give birth to Jordyn.
“Hey who has Jordyn?" I ask.
“Oh, Imyra took the babies and went back to her realm. I am sure mom is there with her. I am pretty sure Aunt Persephone was with mom today. So I have no doubt that those three are getting fed a lot of sweets.” Mykenzie answers.
I mind linked Dustin to let him know about Dominick and where he is. He tells me that Mykayla already told him who had Dominick. He does mention that he was unaware of the possibility of Dominick getting fed a lot of sweets. I could care less as long as they are with people I know I can trust.
“Hey, I am gonna go check on the three toddlers. Do you need anything?” Mykenzie asks.
“Not that I can think of.” Kylani answers.
Mykenzie is gone and we are alone. I lean back against the bed and she lays her head on my chest. Now it’s just a waiting game. I really want one of the twins to be a boy. We were never able to tell in any of the ultrasounds. They were never turned where we could get a clear shot. The doctor thought at least one of the twins is a girl, but she was not a hundred percent. I will find out in a few hours. I can’t wait.
Marcus
I knew it was gonna take a while for both of those girls to have the babies. However, I was not expecting it to take eight fucking hours. I really hope that when Leah has our baby it doesn't take that long. Of course, Kaleb had to tell me that it took longer when Kylani had Jordyn. Fuck why does it take so long to push a kid out? I however was smart enough to not say anything I was thinking out loud. Jason on the other hand was not. He commented on the time frame and I really thought either Mykayla or Kylani was going to Kill him. Kylanis glare alone was enough to make him shut his mouth. That boy never learns. Paul of course laughed at Jason as did a few of the other guys.
“Are you ready to go through this baby?” I ask Leah.
“Yes and no. I am afraid that the baby will be too big for me to have naturally.” She admits.
So while we were there waiting the doctor did a quick ultrasound and we got to see the baby. I got to hear the heartbeat and it sounded perfect. Leah did voice her concerns but the doctor said that everything should be fine and if not then they would have to do a c-section. I really don’t care how my child is born as long as it is healthy. In the end, the babies were born healthy. However, there was a very welcome but unexpected surprise that none of us saw coming.
