The Alphas’ P**n Star Mate

Chapter 176 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate

Unknown POV

My hand involuntarily flew to my mouth when I heard what was just said. What our dear little tramp of a Luna said to the others.

"Are you saying you purified him of dark magic?"

The question from Rodger hung in the air, and I wished I could risk looking in the room to see her definitive answer.

But she already said she had burned the snake away, whatever that means. I assume it meant she burned away his magic. Since a snake was the symbol of his that found me. A snake seems to be his signature for his magic. If that isn't a confession to a deeper source of magic than what she claimed to have before, I don't know what is.

I need to tell him. This was the sort of thing he wanted to know.

I wish I could wait around and hear the rest of their exchange, but my nosiness wasn't the priority right now. I needed to make a call. I'm sure this new ability will change things for what he has planned next.

A

Chloe POV

I was feeling spent, but not from exertion from using too much magic. My magic felt controlled surprisingly. It was just my body reacting to the stress of what it had just accomplished, like working out too hard or running for too long.

It felt more like the dark magic had made me sick, and even though it was in his subconscious, the fiery purification seemed to have an effect on my breathing. I feel burning in my lungs with every breath. Cortina was helping me quickly recover, but the ache was still there in the back of my throat.

My momentary discomfort isn't what's important right now. Boyd not being killed for something he had no control over is all I care about.

"Mate."

He had just called Estel his mate, proving he was no longer under the dark magic's influence, but everyone was still on guard, ready to tear him out from under Estel and end him. Even my mates were of that mind. I could feel it.

"Alphas, he needs to be taken to the clinic. Now," a medic working on Lenny stated, breaking the tense silence that had stretched.

"Take him," Miles said in a low gravelly voice. "Rodger will escort your Luna along with-"

"I'm not going anywhere," I interrupted that thought before he could fully say it out loud. "Not until I know you aren't going to hurt Boyd."

Even then, I had no plans of stepping aside and letting them handle this. After what Sirius told me about the command he had been given, I knew I wouldn't be able to put on the doll act again. Not until Boyd's ex-mate and Alpha were dealt with. "Chloe," Mick gave me that disapproving stare.

"Don't Chloe me. I'm not going anywhere." I then looked at the medic. "Hurry and take him. Now!"

He still looked at Miles and Mick for approval, which suddenly pissed me off.

"GO!" My voice boomed, pushing the command and forcing the medic to snap to obey. He directed two warriors to help carry Lenny out, and soon they were gone.

"Chloe..." Miles said in a level tone. "You need to get checked out."

"I'm fine. My magic is stable. Right?" I looked at Rodger pointedly.

He hesitated, really staring down at me, then slowly nodded his head.

"She's stable."

"See," I lifted my chin. "You can let me down now," I said to Rodger. It was a bit awkward to be held by him like this, especially with all the unspoken secrets between us.

"I..." His hands tightened their hold on me. He looked like he was struggling with something, some thought, but even his sighed and placed me gently on the ground, then stood up and helped to pull me on my feet.

I watched him awkwardly, curiously, seeing the conflict in his face. Then, I decided to circle back to it later. Boyd and Estel were the priority right now.

When I moved to take a step towards them, both my mates and the warriors moved at once, like they were going to stop me but one fierce growl had them all standing still.

"My goddess," I hissed, bending over Boyd to touch his face. I didn't want to intrude on the moment between him and Estel now that the bond was finally settling in place, but I wanted to make sure he was cleansed.

His eyes never left Estel's, looking all sappy and in love. I know his bond with his ex-mate isn't completely gone yet, but it will be soon. The magic was what was making him repel Estel. That's gone now. Now that I told his wolf who she is to him, I know Boyd and Sirius won't ever let her feel rejected again.

As I let my magic flow through him, I searched for any lingering fragments of the dark hold that was restricting him before. My magic came back to me clean, without any more of the black evil that was flooding him before.

"Nothing," I whispered, smiling softly at Boyd. "There's nothing evil binding you anymore."

He drew his eyes from Estel to me, a sad smile fixed on his face. "There's still one thing."

"Ha!" I huffed, throwing my arm around Estel. "Little do you know, I've been training my girl here since you got back. I'm sure she can solve that problem." I then looked back at my mates. "We'll handle the Alpha."

Laura POV

"He's late," I paced back and forth, gnawing on my breaking acrylic overlays. "We need to get him ourselves. He's not coming."

"We can't," Jasper said firmly, his eyes roaming the treeline, searching for any sign of movement. "You heard what he said. If we cross the border, none of us will make it back."

Mr. Smith did mention something about the border of the pack being protected, or enchanted. Something stupid that I thought irrelevant at the time. I didn't think there was a possibility of Boyd not coming.

Again, I tried to mind link him, but was met with static. I could faintly feel the bond, but I hadn't been able to mind link him for a few hours. Not since that happened.

Hours ago, right as I was trying to mind link him for the dozenth time, I felt this searing pain in the bite mark on my neck. The burning was coursing through my mark. Not Jasper's mark, but Boyd's.

I tried telling Jasper that something was wrong, but Mr. Smith assured him all was fine and to continue on. Jasper's not listened to me since.

Mr. Smith's money and his dark magic did help me get Jasper out of the depressed slump he was in, but Jasper's loyalty feels more inclined to Mr. Smith than me at times.

"Can you at least call the warriors here?" I pressed up against Jasper. "Just in case?"

"In case of what?" His eyes narrowed. "He demanded it be just us. No one else will be called."

I pouted my lips, but Jasper wasn't affected at all. He just went back to staring at the forest.

"Jasper!" I stomped my feet, anxiety flooding me. "What if he doesn't come though?!"

"He'll come. Master said-"

Suddenly, Jasper went silent, pushing me behind himself and the tree, shielding me as his eyes darted to the darkest part of the forest. His eyes were glowing, more beast than human, as he struggled to see through the blinding darkness.
