The Alphas’ P**n Star Mate

Chapter 156 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate

Rodger

POV

I paced the front porch of the old hotel, still littered with the mayhem from earlier. Warriors and pack members were still clearing bodies from the battle, but that isn't what is concerning to me right now.

It's the room I found in the belly of this place. Locked behind what I assumed was a utility closet, until I got close enough to feel the dark energy emitting out of it. When Kai and Alexi pried open the door, they were even stunned by what they saw.

Alexi went back to the pack to help Boyd get situated, but Kai stayed with me. He was as worried as I was about the room. Now we're just waiting for my sisters to get here before making any assumptions. "Should I call for one of the Alphas to come too?" Kai asked me.

I shook my head. "No. Not yet." I'd like to know what it is we found first. Plus, I am not sure of how they will react to all of the discoveries. There were some details in there I wasn't prepared to see.

Kai looked guilty all of a sudden, probably sensing the direction of my thoughts. I think he was expecting me to explode with anger towards him any minute. I wouldn't do that though. Not in this circumstance.

A few minutes later, my sister's old car pulled in, halting my anxious pacing. Driana looked annoyed, having been woken up so early because of this. She didn't even look around at the carnage littering the yard and drive. Paulina, on the other hand, had wide eyes, looking mortified at the scene.

"This better be damned important, dragging me here in the middle of nowhere at such a time. Did you know there wasn't a single place open selling coffee the whole drive over?" Driana was huffy already.

"This was a hotel. I'm sure you can find a coffee maker inside one of the old rooms."

Driana looked at the outside of the building with a disgusted face. "Looks like a happy house of horrors, baby blue, pink, and bloody. I can't wait to see what kind of caffeine this place has to offer," she groaned. "What are we doing here?"

Kai and I exchanged a look, then I waved to my sisters, "Follow me."

The inside wasn't much better than the outside of the hotel. The bodies had been moved outside, but there were still random limbs forgotten in some corners, and blood was in puddles everywhere. We had to watch our steps getting back to the stairs that descended down. Passing the kitchen, Driana made a pit stop to examine the fridge. It had a huge streak of blood across the front of it, but she didn't pay it any mind. She dug around until she found a cold coffee drink, taking it like it was the normal course of action, then waved me to continue leading the way.

The basement was the cleanest part of the hotel, the battle mainly taking place outside and in the lobby. No one except Estel and Boyd during their escape came this way. That's why we didn't fully inspect it until after Mick had left. They were focusing their search on the suites the Alpha and Luna used.

We came near the room I had thought was for breaker boxes and generators, things like that, because of the industrial looking door with the padlocks securing it. The entire door had been broken off the hinges by Kai and Alexi, and it was lying off to the side, propped against one of the giant washing machines.

There was an ominous feeling radiating through the entire space now. A black energy was leaking from the open doorway. I could almost see it leaking out. You could taste it, feel it, and even smell the scent of sulfur and bitter herbs.

"Holy hell cats," Driana muttered, eyes wide as she stared ahead. She lowered the coffee from her lips, looking fully awake now. "What is all this?"

Stepping into the room was like stepping into a crypt. There were writings on the wall that looked like hieroglyphs. Back rugs littered the ground, pillows stacked on some, and the same strange writing on others. There were heaters surrounding each rug. All were on full blast when we first burst in.

Shelves, obviously retrieved from various rooms, were dividing the space into sections. Some of those shelves had books. There were hangings of herbs and bunches of flowers deadly to most creatures. Everything was ominous, but one of the strangest things in the room was mortifying to look at.

There were jars everywhere, large ones with different creatures in each. Most were deadly looking snakes, but some were of organs, human by the looks of them, and others were cats, different birds, and reptiles. The largest of the jars, at least as big as a chair, had the head of a dog in it, but it wasn't a dog like I had seen before. It was all black and mostly hairless. The snout was skinny and long, and the ears pointed up.

There were ancient books sitting on the lid of that huge glass container, and a winged back chair beside it. It was like it was being used as a side table. Kai had picked one of the books up earlier to look through, and then quickly tossed it back down, muttering about its evil aura. This entire room felt evil. Like a den of ancient evil that I didn't even know how to comprehend.

The worst of all, was the wall behind us. The one we had just walked through.

Paulina turned and saw it first, gasping with her mangled voice. She threw her hands over her mouth, then pointed at all the different pictures in horror. Driana turned to see what she was looking at, and her reaction was much the same. "What is this?!"

I felt sick, not wanting to see those images again. Kai kept his eyes downcast, maybe with guilt because one of the images clearly had him in it as well.

The wall was covered with pictures of my daughter. All from compromising positions. I knew what she had been doing with the others after everything came to light before we left Broom StiXXX, but I never wanted to know the details of such acts to this extent. I wasn't aware how deeply ingrained she was into the lifestyle the others took part in.

Driana looked all over the wall, as did Paulina. I knew when they got to the still image of her with Kai, because they both turned to look at him accusingly.

"I'm.... I'm deeply sorry," he kept his head bowed.

"Sure you are," Driana scoffed. "Have the Alphas seen this yet? I imagine it is them, you and.....many others should be apologizing too. Not us."

"Not yet," I said. I felt exhausted, more so than before. "I didn't know what to tell them. I don't know what this place is yet."

"Isn't it obvious?" Driana looked at me from the corner of her eye. "This is a shrine. A shrine to Chloe."
