Chapter 145
Chapter 145 Earlier Charlotte woke up to fearful news from Goliath. “Good news. We have been able to steal Daisy. Do you want to see her?” Charlotte panicked, having hot flashes as sweat covered her body like rainwater. “What? Do you want to die?” Goliath walked up to her with the sleeping Daisy on his shoulders, and Charlotte quickly took steps back. “Take her back or Alpha Nick would kill everyone in this pack.” She woke up a different person, no longer interested in harming others or taking revenge. All she cared about now was getting Tom back. Even if they turned rogue, she would be happy, but Goliath thought otherwise. “No. This is your chance for revenge. Let’s escape with their child and have them wallow in pain forever.” Charlotte shook her head, not wanting to be a part of this. Fear resonated in her voice as she saw the sleeping baby. “No. Have you forgotten that I’m pregnant? I can’t do this. They would have known by now that their daughter is missing. What have you done?” Charlotte was both disappointed and disturbed, which were all feelings strange to her. Saddened, Goliath explained. “I thought it would make you happy.” When she was sleeping, he took a few pack members with him, and under the cover of magic, they invaded the Dark Moon pack without being seen. After succeeding, it hurt that Charlotte did not want to be a part of it. “Not anymore. I asked you to help me find Tom, not this.” “So what do we do?” Goliath asked. There was just something about him that did not want to help with Tom, knowing that the baby might bring him and Charlotte together again.
The cry of a baby bellowed through the room, and Charlotte’s mood worsened. “Oh no. What do we do? She’s awake.” Having no experience with babies, she was reluctant to touch Daisy, but there was something happening to Goliath as soon as Daisy woke up. “What is going on?” Goliath asked, feeling greatly uncomfortable. “What are you talking about?” Charlotte asked worriedly, not expecting to wake up to something like this so early in the morning. “I feel so hot,” Goliath said and forced Daisy into Charlotte’s arms. “Here, take her.” Charlotte reluctantly took the crying baby, and as soon as their eyes met, Daisy stopped crying and began to wiggle out of her arms. She dropped her on the bed, but Daisy quickly got down. “Mama,” she said and kept looking around skeptically. Charlotte felt strangely guilty. “I will take you back to your mama. Are you hungry?” She suddenly caught sight of the emerald bracelet, recalling that she saw it Chapter 145 somewhere. “This must be for Athena,” she recalled vividly. Daisy lifted her hands in the air to gain attention. “Mama. Poopoo.” “She wants to use the toilet,” Goliath said and decided to help out, but as soon as he came into contact with Daisy, the heat became unbearable. “Does she have some powers?” he asked awkwardly, staring at the little cutie who frowned at him. “I don’t know. I guess I should help her with the toilet. She’s so beautiful,” Charlotte could not help saying. Daisy looked a lot like her father, rather than her mother, and it was strange how she easily captured Charlotte’s heart. Daisy giggled like she understood Charlotte’s words, showing the six teeth in her mouth. Charlotte’s eyes turned moist, and something moved inside of her. “You are indeed beautiful.” She carried the little girl to the toilet, guilt
welled up in her heart as she was at it, knowing that Alpha Nick and Sheridan would be so worried. Since when did she begin to care for anyone? Charlotte could not tell. “We have to send her back,” she said to Goliath as soon as she returned with Daisy from the washroom. Goliath was afraid. This was not part of the plan when she kidnapped the little girl. “Alpha Nick and Sheridan would kill you. They hate you.” Those words should have moved Charlotte, and yet, they didn’t. She was not afraid of what Alpha Nick or Sheridan would do to her, as long as Daisy was returned to them. “Then so be it. Perhaps, I could also beg them for Tom’s address.” Goliath stared at her. He expected these changes, but they were still beyond his expectation. “You have changed, Charlotte.” “I know, but think about the pack,” Charlotte said seriously. Goliath was helpless as Charlotte reminded him. “Alpha Nick would kill everyone if we keep his daughter here.” “Mama, apple.” Daisy’s voice interrupted the conversation. Charlotte stared at her and smiled. “How old is she? She is so little but seems so smart. I guess she wants apples. I should have some in the fridge.” Charlotte picked some apples, sliced them, and set them before her. Daisy excitedly began munching on them, so Charlotte added a bottle of water. “Alpha Nick would never be able to come here. He won’t find this pack,” Goliath tried to reason with her. Charlotte and Daisy were already getting along, so how could Charlotte return Daisy to her parents? “You told me before that witches could cast spells to make the pack visible. Are you sure that a man desperate for his child would not use the service of a witch?” Charlotte asked seriously, making him understand the repercussions of his actions, which worked. *I thought this would make you happy,” Goliath sadly analyzed. Charlotte suggested calmly. “I’m sorry it doesn’t. If you want to help, then help me find Tom before it’s too late.”
20:00 Sat, 22 Jun Chapter 145 G 357% +5 Goliath finally receded. “Okay, and we face Alpha Nick’s wrath together.” By the time they reached the Dark Moon pack, Daisy had bonded a lot with Charlotte and was even pulling her hair. They stepped out of the car, and Goliath approached the guards at the pack. “My name is Goliath. We are here to see Alpha Nick,” Goliath said nervously to the warrior at the gate. The warrior’s eyes widened as he saw Charlotte and Daisy. Fear instantly took over him as he mind-linked his Alpha. ‘Alpha, Charlotte and a man named Goliath are at the gate with Daisy.’ Within a few seconds, a car sped to the gate and pulled over. Alpha Nick got down with Sheridan. Sheridan ran to Charlotte and snatched Daisy from her. A slap soon followed. “How dare you kidnap my daughter?” She then began to check Daisy. “Daisy, are you alright?” Charlotte endured the pain from the slap but did not feel any resentment towards Sheridan. Still, Goliath was embittered. “Mama.” Daisy wrapped her little arms around her mother’s neck. “I’m very sorry,” Charlotte said, Alpha Nick’s hands already wrapped around her neck, determined to not let her escape. He was going to choke her to death this time, and Goliath felt guilty for everything. “Please, Alpha Nick. Charlotte knew nothing about it. It was all me, so deal with me,” Goliath pleaded. At the same time, a shrill tore from Daisy’s mouth, and she began to cry out. As soon as Alpha Nick withdrew his hand, the shrill ceased. “It doesn’t mean I would let you two off the h**k. Warriors, throw them in the dungeon,” he instructed, and both Charlotte and Goliath were soon surrounded.
“No, Alpha Nick. You can keep me in the dungeon, but not her. She’s pregnant, and that has changed her,” Goliath yelled bitterly.
