The Alpha’s Little Rogue (Alessia)

Chapter 159

Chapter 159

Rapheal's POV It's another day of waking up with Daphne against my chest. My day just started a few minutes ago but I can already tell that it's going to be wonderful.

Daphne makes a sound at the back of her throat and then her eyes peel open. She smiles when she sees me looking at her and lifts up her upper body to give me a chaste kiss. A kiss that I deepen by wrapping my hands around her waist, pushing her down on the bed and covering her body with mine.

Daphne's hands land on my chest like she's going to push me away but soon, those hands start roaming my chest and find their way around my neck.

I'm the one that pulls away from the kiss because I know that Daphne will kill me if she ends up going late to work. We'll just have to put a pin on this and continue it later tonight.

Daphne whimpers when I pull away and it kills me to untangle my body from hers when she's being so willing and pliant.

"You're going to be late for work," I whisper into her ear and that does the trick.

She pushes me away from her and hops down from the bed, not even sparing me a glance as she rushes into the bathroom. Works like a charm every time.

Smiling to myself, I rest my head on my forearms and just stare at the ceiling above me, wondering what I have to do to make this my everyday morning routine.

After a few more minutes of staring at the ceiling, I hop down from the bed and start scouting for my clothes. It's hilarious the places that those clothes wind up in. Just as I'm struggling to put on my last piece of clothing, Daphne steps out of the bathroom with just a towel wrapped around her.

My throat goes dry and the blood in my head rushes down south.

"No," Daphne injects sternly when she gets a look at the hungry expression on my face. "I have to go to work and you need to get to the training grounds."

I pout but walk over to her and give her a simple kiss on the cheeks because I haven't yet had the chance to brush my teeth and I'm not about to subject her to that.

"I'm going to need to leave right now. I need to get to my pack first and freshen up a bit before rushing back here." Just listing out the things I need to do already makes me tired. But I'm ready to keep doing it a thousand times if it means that my days will end with me in Daphne's bed.

Daphne frowns. "Why don't you just bring your utilities and some fresh clothes over here? It doesn't make sense for you to keep running back to your pack every morning just to come back here."

Dear sweet Lord, have mercy on my soul. First, the key, and now this. If she decides to clear out a part of her wardrobe for me, I swear I'm going to faint and this is coming from someone who has never even

experienced a spell of dizziness.

Not wanting to make a big deal out of it, I simply nod. Last night, she didn't look like she enjoyed my teasing. "I'll bring over a carry-on bag tonight."

The frown on her face leaves and gives way to a smile. "Ok."

I leave her house and run through the woods to get to my pack. I slip into the house and say some quick greetings to my friends who keep asking why I'm never around. I just keep telling them that Caden has me running errands like a lap dog.

After freshening up, I pack a quick carry-on bag and slip out of the pack house. My quick escape gets blasted to hell when Alex finds me just as I'm about to go into the woods again.

"Where are you taking the bag to?" He asks, eyeing the bag in my hand. "And what is in it?"

God, I have such nosey friends. What is he ever looking for here?

Doesn't he have his hands full with his petulant child?

Apart from our daily border checks, I haven't really had the chance to talk to Alex since our little fight in the woods and since he gave me that pep talk that has resulted in me standing outside my pack house with a packed bag. "So, are you going to tell me why you look like you just stole something from the pack house and are sneaking it away?"

Now seems like the perfect time to

fill him in. "I'm taking the bag to Daphne's home. I've been staying over at her place for a while now and she decided that it would be easier to just bring some of Alex blinks and stares at me blankly. Then his facade cracks and his lips spread into a smile. "My plan worked?" He sounds downright giddy and I'm surprised that he isn't bouncing on his tippy toes.

"Slow it down," I deadpan. "She told me to bring a bag with me not move into her house and make two point five babies with her," ! say.

"But my brilliant idea is the reason why you have gotten this far," he counters with a wide grin, acting like he gave me the solution to global warming.

I begrudgingly agreed under my breath just so that he'd leave me "I'll be back later tonight," I rush out and run into the woods before he can get another word out that will probably be another form of bragging. Stripping down in the wood, I change into my wolf and charge through the trees for my mate's pack.
