The Alphas And The Orphan

Chapter 33

Tuesday 17th January

Star’s POV

I look at Oliver, and send a mind link to my mates, “keep calm my loves, if I am right he cannot control his feelings, and he has never acted on those feelings.”

I feel all three of them relax a little.

I smile at Oliver, “it’s ok Olly, just tell us.”

“Luna….. you have always been attractive, but we always knew that the Alphas were really protective of you. You and I spent quite a lot of time together last year while you were tutoring me, and even though I thought you were great, you know, pretty, smart, I never felt a massive urge to ask you out.”

Sighing, he looks down at his hands.

Lexi’s hands tightened around my waist, and he lent his face into my back.

“but since School started again my feelings definitely changed, That first Maths class we had together, I couldn’t stop looking at you, and when the Alphas said we were going to sit at your table for lunch, I was really happy, s**t I even asked you out to dinner, Ace growling at me and threatening to rip my head off made me think twice, but I still wanted you to say yes.”

He looks at Ace, an apology in his eyes. I bring his attention back to me.

“What about now, Olly?”

The look he gives me is full of both apprehension and longing, “now… now it’s like whenever I see you, I need to be close to you. You are in my thoughts so much that at times I can’t concentrate.”

A rumbling growl escapes Lexi’s throat, and I turn and give him a warning look. He shoots me a guilty smirk.

“Thanks Olly, what about you guys?” My gaze turns to the other three warriors. Aiden clears his throat.

“I guess I feel the same as Olly. We have all known you our whole lives, and no matter what has been going on with you and we all know some of the s**t you have had to deal with, but you have always been the one I have gone to when I need someone to talk to.”

He looks behind me at Lex, “you know what I mean, man, Star has always had an ability to listen and calm people down.”

“I know you have always gone to her when you need to be pulled out of the darkness. It makes sense now that she is our Luna. She has been acting like a Luna for years without us knowing.”

he looks at Simon and Jasper, the nod at him.

“we made a pact a few years ago.”

“we all had a crush, but you were a good girl, the type of girl that you wanted as a mate, not a temporary girlfriend, so we decided none of us would ask you out.”

His eyes went to Ace, “since school started, like Olly we have all felt a pull to you, we have spoken about it a lot, but once we knew you were mated to the Alphas, we have tried to keep our distance, but like Olly, you are never very far from my mind.”

“Thank you guys, I think I need a minute with the Alphas, you’ll you guys mind clearing the table and making fresh coffee. We will be back soon.”

As we make our way out of the dining room, I see Ace put a hand on Olly’s shoulder and give him a smile before following me to the bedroom.

As soon as we enter, Ash grabs me and pins me to the wall. “MINE,” he growls into my neck.

I stroke his neck and wrap my legs round his waist.

Ace and Lex are pacing the room. The tension is heavy. Reaching out my hands to them over Ash’s shoulders, they rush to me.

We end up in an enormous heap on our bed. They all fight to k**s me until I am completely out of breath.

Once they have calmed down, we all lie on the bed with at least one part of our bodies touching.

Ace places k****s on my forehead.

“Goddess, that was hard to listen to, Tink. I wanted to rip my best friend’s heads off.”

Sitting up, I look at the three of them.

“well at least we know the reasons for the attacks, right? Do you think we need to see if we can find the guys that left the pack? Bring them back and discuss what is happening?”

Lexi growls deeply in his chest, “I don’t care baby, they were going to hurt you. Olly and the guys felt the pull, but they did not act on those feelings.”

I lean over and k**s all three of my gorgeous men, calming them with soft touches and words of love.

When they have completely calmed down, we head to the lounge.

We sit together on one of the sofas, and I look at our friends. Taking a deep breath, I begin.

“OK, my mother was kidnapped from her pack in Greece by my father, who held her prisoner and raped her so that she would provide him with powerful pups that could control all the elements.”

There are gasps around the room.

Everyone stares at me in shock.

I grin, “well that got your attention.”

The next several hours are spent filling them in on everything we know.

Yet another pot of coffee is put on the table. I hear a growl coming from Kurtis. All eyes turn to him. He is staring at the picture of my father.

“I know this man. He was in the village last week. When I approached him to ask what he was doing on our territory, he told me he was looking up an old friend, asked if I knew someone called Thalia.”
