The Alpha King’s Virgin by Charmeleon Chapter 117
Chapter 117
“Before you say anything. I would like to make it very clear who I am.” Getting up from my throne, I narrowed my eyes at the crowd. No longer the scared little Omega that was intimidated by all, I stepped down from the podium. “I am Queen Raine Black, but I am also the High Magus of the Elemental witch coven. My father, Quindin Thael, died and passed his powers on to me.”
The room started off with a tense energy when I arrived, but gradually, as I approached the group, it morphed into fearfulness and wary indecision.
“So you are an abomination.” Alpha Kane looked at me with his arms folded across his expansive chest.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Amaris clutching the armrests of his throne. A deep rumbling sounded from his chest.
I smiled at Alpha Kane. “An abomination. What an interesting concept. I suppose the narrowminded would think of it that way. Tell me, Alpha Kane, what are you afraid of?” I walked over to him. He retreated two steps back. “Do I scare you?”
He laughed at my question, but his eyes darted away from mine. The rest of the assembly shifted away, giving us space. I was aware of Amaris sitting primed and ready to attack if anyone dared to make the wrong move.
“I am
not afraid of you.” Alpha Kane said, his voice held a slight tremor. His scent belied his words. Fear had a distinct odor, like rotten potatoes.
I went up even closer to him and tapped my index finger on his chest. “Not even in the slightest? Aren’t you afraid I might put a curse on you?” I spat the last words at him, feeling my anger growing. He tripped over his feet in his haste to get away from me. The surge of power I felt coursing through me almost overwhelmed me. In my mind, I saw his body snapping in half.
‘Raine, don’t. I heard Amaris‘ voice cautioning me in my head.
But I pushed the urge to act on my anger down. Although, my fingers tingled with the magic flowing through me. It wanted out, needed to be set free..
The Lunas stared at me, some of them with admiration, but others with envy, because of the way their Alpha’s eyes darkened as they admired my body openly. I was proud of the way I looked. My pregnancy had me radiating with a natural glow, and my body had filled out in all the right places, making me feel lush and confident.
“Who of you here dare to oppose King Amaris? He’s fought for you, almost died to protect this kingdom and yet, here you are, undermining him.” I walked among them, the electricity crackling between my fingers. “Instead of standing together to defeat your enemies, you bicker and complain like children.”
I came to stand in front of Luke and Sasha. The latter recoiled from me. They had enough cause to fear me.

“Are you going to punish us for what we did to you? We were just children. You can’t hold that against us,” Sasha whimpered.
Tasha chuckled at the back of my mind, her tail swishing back and forth, enjoying Sasha’s discomfort. I sensed she would like nothing more than to scare the crap out of her.
“Children?” I scoffed. “No, Sasha. I am not vindictive. What I want, no, what I demand is piety for your king and for me as your rulers.” That would be punishment enough for her to acknowledge
my status.
Luke trembled visibly as I passed close to him. When compared him to Amaris, I considered myself fortunate that he had rejected me when he did. He was weak.
“Even if it goes against everything we believe in? Like mindless puppets?” A Luna I didn’t recognize raised her voice.
Amaris got up from his throne to join me. “Of course not!” He snaked his arm around my waist. “I wouldn’t force anyone to go against their beliefs. What I did was give you the freedom of choice. I chose Raine because she is the one the Moon Goddess made for me. My soulmate. Despite the difference in our status or race, I wouldn’t want anyone other. And my choice demands respect.” He looked at me with love shining through his dark eyes.
I couldn’t resist touching his cheek, and he closed his eyes for a second to lean into my touch.
“But what about the dragons? Will they be back? Are we at war with them? Because of the queen?”
“We cannot withstand another attack like the last one.”
“You must do something about this, Your Majesty.”
Amaris held his hands up to silence them. “Yes, I believe they will. They want to have take over as king. But to serve their own purpose.”

“What do you mean, Sire?” Elder Mattias held his hand up for an opportunity to speak.

“If Sorin is king, the Dragon Lord or the Vampire King will kill him and take over your lands and. everything you own,” Amaris said.
“Where did you come to learn of this, Your Majesty?” the older man took a few steps forward. His dislike for me was not a secret. “Prince Sorin wouldn’t be so foolish to let himself be duped by either of those rulers.”
“We have it on good authority.” I smirked at him. “They are after the minerals and riches of our kingdom. Fintan Pendragon wants to be the sole ruler of the entire Supernatural Realm. You will all become their slaves. Is that what you want?”
A roar of protest shook the windows. No one wanted to be slaves. Especially not to a vampire and a dragon.
“But how can we trust the witches and the Fae? We all know how unpredictable they could be.”

“So far, they have shown their support. Shouldn’t it be enough?” Amaris frowned at the Alpha, who voiced his concerns. “Besides, I trust my queen with my whole heart.”
Lord Greyson stepped forward and cleared his voice. “I suggest we make a move swiftly before they have time to regroup.”
“I agree Lord Greyson. But then we must all unite in this war. There can be no division. We fight as one army, setting our differences aside. Or we will all perish.” Amaris scanned the group before us. “Those who are with me stand to your right. Those opposed better leave now.” His voice had a hard edge to it, a not–so–subtle threat as he scrutinized the Alphas, daring them to choose sides. They all stepped to their right.
