Chapter Diana!!
Roseline POV
It took me a while, to get s grip on Myself, I can't help it, I want to feel him close to me, I tried as much to keep a calm expression, the thought itself was calming and soothing to my nerves.
He then brought his lips closer to mine, I can perceive his husky scent. He retreated, without coming closer to me, he then took a steak on the plate, before he then gestured it towards my mouth, I smiled at his actions, it brought goosebumps to my tummy, I can feel everything, I want him to be close to me, I can't help.
His gaze locked with mine, feeling that intense serenity, that I have never thought of feeling. I chewed the stick, and I had to hold back a moan, not that the steak was different from the ones I have tasted, but knowing that the steak was coming from his hand, it was the flavor I needed to make the steak tastier.
I then felt the urge to use the restroom, because I was having a hard time controlling the downpour of my bladder.
He excused me, while he curved his lips to a smile. I then race towards the restroom, feeling the burning urine, threatening to ease its way down my thighs.
When I was done in the restroom, I washed my hands and stared at myself in the mirror, I was just plain, with no makeup or any add-up.
Not until I heard words being muffled outside the restroom, I was curious to know, so I peeked to see who it was. I was fascinated by the outcome of it. It was no one else but my friend, Diana she was sobbing, and a guy who was inches beside her were staring daggers at her, almost like she did something wrong.
I don't want to intrude, but I know for sure there is something wrong.
"I don't know what you are doing here, after all, I did for, and is this how you repay me, by Leaving the house?" He yelled at her, his voice etched with anger.
"I'm sorry, it was a mistake, I never wanted to leave, I. I just" she stammered.
She couldn't finish her words before I tight slap landed on her cheeks.
"You are nothing but an ungrateful slut, I couldn't believe that you will ever do such, after all, I did" the man yelled louder, causing a reaction among the people who were there, but no one bothered to approach.
I had enough of his violence, I don't know what my Friend might have done wrong, but I don't know like the way she was treated, more like she's of not much value. I drew in a deep breath while trying to calm myself down.
"As a gentleman, you have no right to lay your hands on a woman" I sounded brave with no glimmer of fear in my voice, even deep within I was scared.
Especially when my glance directed to the man's strong biceps, his chiseled body, and his strong arms, which with one punch can lead to a month of Coma. my eyes dart to his piercing gaze and his eyes that managed to make me even more scared than I had anticipated, I gulped, while his attention was on her
My gaze went to my friend, who seem delighted, by the sight of me. But she was also terrified when she noticed the piercing gaze of the man beside her.
"You have no right to talk or treat her like that," I said to him, he laced out a grin on his face, almost like he liked my confidence before he asked.
"Who are you to teach me about eloquence?" Be snapped at me.

He then threw a glance at Diana, " did you know her". Diana trembled, she couldn't say a word, she was so scared, I can imagine what the poor had gone through.
"Answer me"
"Ye...yes...yes, I know her" she trembled. Glistening tears sprinkle down her cheeks, without permission, I want close to her and I engulf her in a warm hug.
"Oh Diana, I miss you so much" I voiced out, not minding his presence, I don't care what he thinks, but I want to express how I missed and I want her close to me, I tried as much as possible to keep a calm expression while telling myself everything would be alright.
"Let go of her, you have no right to touch my woman or my property," he said possessively before he yanked her close to himself. Diana's sobs, became even louder, making me feel so much pity for her, I hate the fact that she has to suffer that way, but I can't help it, times went by so swiftly and it was yesterday when we were still together before she was taken from me.
"Please go Rose" she pleaded.
"No I'm not going, I don't want anything to happen to you"
"You have to go, I'll be fine"
"Does this look like you are fine?" I demanded, while shifting some strands of her hair, showing evident scars, some look new while some look old, I went to beat this man to a pup, for torturing my friend like that, but I can't help it, knowing the fact, she's leaving with a monster.
"I'm fine, don't worry, this is nothing," she said awkwardly while trying to close the scars, I felt so sorry for her, I desperately want to make things right, but I don't know how.
"You heard her, now leave" the man grunted, I let out a sigh, but I was not going to leave my Friend to suffer like that.
"You can leave, I'll try to make time so we can formally meet," she said gently. I shifted my gaze to the man, who had a snarl on his face and it was clear he doesn't want her to ever meet me again. I know it's her burden and I won't interfere, but I can't sit while I see my friend live her life in misery. So I drew in a deep breath before I turned to look at Diana and said.
"Okay, but can I have your number at least," I said, almost begging, she turned to look at the man beside her almost like she was indirectly asking for his permission.
She immediately called out the number for me, before I left, making me let out a sigh before I let a gentle sob of pain.
I couldn't bring myself to say a word, but deep within me, I felt everything that she was feeling at the moment.
I turned to leave, but stop in my tract only to turn to look at her, she laced out a soft and tender smile, I stretched a sad smile on my face before I left, while heaving a sigh.
I then walked back to my sit, only to notice Jefferson was talking to another lady, who was much of a good company. From what Jefferson had told me, it was clear enough that he doesn't many people in the twenty-first century. Then who was this lady?
So I decided to sit beside a lady before I stretched an awkward smile on my face. She raised a questionable brow at me, almost like she was baffled at the sight of me.
"Uhm, please if you don't mind, can I sit here for a while," I asked.
"Yes sure, why not," she said gently.
