Tales of temptation Greeds unlikely love

Chapter Shadows of intrigue ( greeds pov)

Leaving Aurora to rest after the intimate moment we had shared, I needed a moment to collect my thoughts, to unravel the complex emotions that had woven a web around me. A walk through my domain seemed like the perfect escape, a way to clear my mind of the many questions that lingered.

As I rounded a corner, I collided with Pride—a meeting that was no doubt orchestrated by his own calculated design. His smirk spoke volumes, a silent acknowledgement of the intimate encounter that had just transpired. Before I could react, his voice cut through the air, laden with intrigue.

"Well, it sounds like you've been quite busy," he mused, his tone dripping with a mixture of amusement and curiosity. "Who, may I ask, do you have in there?"

My defenses rose instinctively, and I shot him a glare that was meant to deter further probing. "It's none of your business," I retorted, my tone laced with a hint of warning.

But Pride was not easily swayed. With an air of authority, he stepped closer, his gaze unyielding. "It is our business, considering I can feel the bond that ties you together. A human, Greed? You've truly outdone yourself."

The knowledge of our bond—the connection that linked Aurora and me—had not escaped his keen perception. As much as I wanted to keep this aspect of my existence hidden from my brothers, it was becoming increasingly clear that Pride was not one to be easily fooled.

With a frustrated sigh, I continued to walk away, his words echoing in the air. The complexities of our relationship, the newfound emotions that had stirred within me, all seemed to be subject to the scrutiny of my brothers—the very scrutiny I had sought to avoid.
