Chapter 20
Hyeop woke up in the next morning, feeling stiff and sore especially his lower region and his neck. He grasped at the soft mattress beside him until he felt his glasses. He put it on and saw himself in some room with messy clothes around him and even under him. This looks like a wolf den based of the decor and the structures of this small den.
He looked out of the window and saw everything went back to normal like nothing sinister happened yesterday. Is he dreaming? Definitely.
He got off of the bed and head directly at the door, opening it but was welcomed by Jeongsun. His face is bright and he look so happy, so neat. There's no any trace of red eye shadow around his eyes, there was no blood either anymore. Did he wash up?
Probably.
"Good morning!" he greeted and smiled even wider. "How's your feeling?"
Hyeop didn't know what to say and what to do. He stepped back when Jeongsun finally came in and closed the door behind him, placing the tray of fruits on the small bed side table. "Are you in pain? Why are you so quiet?" Jeongsun asked, moving closer to Hyeop before pulling him into his chest.
Hyeop tried to remember everything that happened yesterday. He do remember him in the bloody basement with some girl and then... what happened next was far beyond his imagination. He doesn't want to remember it. That is not him. Hyeop yelped when Jeongsun pulled him and laid him on the soft mattress, wrapping his arms around the taller younger. Jeongsun smiled, curling further into him. His mind is clear today just like Hyeop, all symptoms of their heat having dissipated.
He can finally enjoy Hyeop's presence for more than minutes without needing to jump the other or being bothered by the couples. Jeongsun tightens his hold on Hyeop.
Hyeop still stiff, staring confused at the ceiling. Did he just accept Jeongsun?
Well, that was all part of his escaping plan but now that everything goes to normal, he can escape without bothering himself to be his mate.
Apparently, they were now mated.
"How do you feel?" asked the alpha again.
"Sore," Hyeop answered shortly.
Jeongsun chuckled before pulling him up for a slow kiss. Hyeop being in his right mind pulled himself away but he quickly pressed his lips on him again, realizing doing that is a wrong idea especially that he is in Jeongsun and Hyunsung love nest.
"I love you," Hyeop whispered, lightly trailing kisses across Jeongsun's mark he just left after drinking his blood like a vampire.
Jeongsun shivered at the words from his one only love, "I love you too, kitten. Are you hungry?"
Hyeop looked at the fruits and whine. "I don't eat fruits in the morning," he said and got up.
To be honest he eats anything food he see, he is not picky when it comes to food. He just said that so Jeongsun could leave him alone and he will make his escape plan. Jeongsun pulled Hyeop again and embrace him. "How about we grab some food and stay in our room all day?"
'What?! No way!' His thoughts protest.
Hyeop brightens but sulking within, his eyes lighting up and nodded. "Sounds good," he said and smiled.
They laid for a bit longer, kissing and cuddling up.
It's early, the sun still rising over the horizon and painting the sky with blue and orange color, and when Jeongsun helped Hyeop through the house, no one is up yet. After getting food, Jeongsun helped Hyeop back onto the bed, leaving to get them another food and more water.
Hyeop was staring at the window. He can see the beautiful lake that shine under the raising sun and the beautiful chilly forest with slight mist around. He can see the mountains and other hundred of trees. The view is breathtaking. How he wish he have his phone with him.
He was glad that the world was back to normal again but not his life. He wished... he can come back to their cabin with his twin.
When Jeongsun returned, he placed water bottles on the bedside table and a tray in front of Hyeop with a bowl of sliced fruits and soup. It's not much just exact for someone like Hyeopil. This is more than enough to get him back into the swing of things.
He just noticed the change of his clothes. He was now wearing a white t-shirt and pants of course but no slipper. His scent is not nice, his smell is like Jeongsun. Did he scent him?
Hyeop sat up properly, pulling Jeongsun into a small kiss, just to gain his trust although he is still hesitant and nervous.
But he was confident, he told Jeongsun during their mating that he wanted to learn to love him so that is that. He won't be looked suspicious to him but to the others. He must be careful of his next actions. "Thanks," he mumbled before taking a bite of the sliced apple.
"Of course, I want to take care of you," Jeongsun smiled.
He walked over to the closet, grabbing a blanket and draping it over the top railing on the window, so the curtain secure them between from the real world, from everybody especially to Fin and Jihae, and securing Hyeop from not seeing his twin. He then crawled back to Hyeop, cuddling up with him and began to eat.
The food is good. He wondered who made the soup?
"Did you made the soup?" asked Hyeop.
"Yeah, it said, it's better for you to eat soup made by me and fruits after the mating," Jeongsun answered and peck his temple.
"What will happen if I eat meat and bread?"
"You'll be sick."
Their little den was quiet as they eat and drink, comfortable as they listen to the birds chirping outside. It doesn't took long before Jeongsun pulled Hyeop to his lap, smiling as he feed him fruit.
"You're so cute and handsome, you looks like Hyunsung but little less different." Jeongsun smiled, rubbing Hyeop's thighs softly, "I love you so much,"
"I love you so much too though I still learning to love you... " Hyeop beamed, putting the fruit down and cupping his mate's cheeks to place a soft kiss on his lips.
Jeongsun wrapped his arms around him, pulling him close only to topple them over on the bed. Giggles fill the room as the alpha nuzzles him and planted kisses all over his face and neck, running his hands over the younger's hair down to his body.
Hyeop didn't melt into the touch, why? He disliked how close they are now. As he kissed Jeongsun once again, wrapping his arms around his neck, he made a mental note to leave this room and run to Jin to seek help.
***
Hyeop hated to be stucked in here more than weeks now and hasn't seen anyone else in days, stuck in the room with Jeongsun all this time and he is complaining a lot inside his head. His body felt like it was on fire and the thirst still kicking every time and with his mate right here helping him through everything, it wasn't so bad.
He hated every time he is in his heat and they need to be mated over again and again, he hates when Jeongsun locking him here and supply him with his blood. He hate being in here.
Being annoyed and feeling helpless, he slide the curtain, sticking out half of his body to check the bottom of the tree dens.
Jeongsun is out in the town for what he hears, finding some prey with the others. Maybe this is the good opportunity for him to escape.
The tree is high but if he make into the tree branches then he can be fine without getting fall.
He took one of his Jeongsun jacket and wear it. He'll burn it after getting outta here.
He began climbing out of the window. It still sunny day and if he waits until night, that stinky alpha will probably at home. It is better to take risk than being caged again for another weeks. He carefully placed his foots on the thick and big tree branches. Remembering the movie 'Tarzan'. But he is not Tarzan!
He can't slide -- before Hyeop think more about Tarzan, he heard a faint groan under him. He saw them going out of the house and he can see his twin being held by that Tarzan-looking guy!
Hyeop huffed in annoyance before carefully climbing down. For unknown reason, he easily climbed down from the tree without any struggling like a cat. Oh, well, that's good anyway.
If he is cat then he have nine lives?
He shook his head while hiding himself behind the tree and watched them went through the lake. Hyeop pushed his glasses up and took a stick. He drew some map on the dirt, planning already inside his head. He'll do the loop.
He dropped the stick and stood up, running all the way around from behind to the front to avoid the lake where the others were. As he almost reached the other side of the house, he heard Jeongsun's voice with Jihae and Sungjoon. He's here already?!
He can also hear another new voice.
Hyeop ran again until he finally reached the edge of the house, peeping at the side, seeing a new comer; a young boy smiling at them.
Heck! You dumb! Don't smile like that! Do not trust them! Hyeop thought to himself. His heart raced as he saw Jeongsun already climbing on the ladder.
He must run fast ASAP!
---
After running almost an hour, he finally arrived in their cabin. Finally, Hyeop sighed before getting inside, taking his keys, phone and Junhyuk's, packing all their important stuff in his bag pack.
His face lighted up after seeing his medicine for his thirst. He put it inside his pocket before he slung the bag. He hurriedly run to his truck and opened the door.
He put the key into the ignition while closing the door, he switched the engine on and it swelled to a roar. Hyeop stared at their cabin for good ten seconds. The cabin they live for almost five years. Hyeop could not help himself but mourn the life they have when they haven't kidnapped from those maniacs.
Tears gathered in his eyes, thinking about his twin. He'll save his twin just he wait.
He quickly stepped on the gear before speeding off in the small path to the town.

Hyeop was confused after seeing the town people gathered in front of the town hall, they seemed rioting. Wait, what happened within two weeks?
He drove quickly to their university, stopping the car in front of the school. He turned off the engine and pulled the key out. He got out from his truck and watched the students. They all looked gloomy and shit, and Hyeop don't know why. But that is not his concern right now. He need to find his friends and seek for their help. He was scared to tell it to the police and more importantly, he was scared to go back in the forest.
He ran along the school corridor, students were looking at him, shocked after his long absence. He pulled out his phone and searched for the safest trip back to the city.
"Hyeop?! Omo! Is that you?!"
Hyeop halted and turned around. His face lit up when he saw one of his only female friend, Seulji and behind her was another woman with a tough, masculine expression just like the woman-
Hyeop froze when he remembered the woman named Wojin. She have the same tough face as her and he remembered that she did mention that she is Fin's older sister.
But, where is she? Was she already dead?
Behind the tough girl was a teenage-looking guy with the soft expression but have the dominating aura.
Hyeop was surprised when he spotted the badge she wore over her dark blue police uniform. Until he realized that these women and teenager-looking guy are police. What are they doing here?
Was there a crime occurred in their school? Was that the reason why the students looked so gloomy and scared?
Seulji took noticed his confusion and quickly spoke to answer his doubts. "Something horrible happened in the town two weeks ago and many people died."
"What? What happened?" asked Hyeop, eyes on her.
Seulji shrugged and just then, Hyeop noticed the drain blood on the walls and floors. There's so many like some horrible massacre happened here.
"Even us can't explain it but one thing's for sure, we can't let that happen again," said Seulji, looking outside of the window. "My mom wanted us to move in the city next morning. She's getting paranoid and the police is getting worked up about that weird phenomenon occurred in this town,"
Hyeop's heart peaked, hearing Seulji telling that she will move in the city. "You will move?"
"Sad to say, yes. Anyway, how'd you been?" asked Seulji again, frowning.
Hyeop eyed the two officers looking at him. He can say it right? "I-I'd -- "
"Hyeop! Omogosh!"
Before he can turn around, Jinki was already behind him and wrapping his arms over his shoulder. "What the freak happened to you?! You don't know how fucked up this place two weeks ago!" "Yeah," Homin agreed who was just behind Jinki. Ever since that day, the two was scared to even depart so they decided to stick around all the time.
"Some disgusting humanoid cockroaches attacked the town and killed more than fifty people!"
So then, he wasn't dreaming? That was true after all, but how?
"Glad we survived," Homin sighed.
"Anyway," Seulji cleared her throat to get their attention. "I'll get going now, these officers need to go to the principal's office. If you'll excuse us," Seulji and the guy walked away but not the woman. She was still standing there while staring at Hyeop as if she'd been observing him for awhile now. "You should leave town too," the woman said out of the blue causing the three looked at her. "this just keeps getting worse... It's way too dangerous for you to stay in town alone especially in the forest."
"We will leave! After what happened, I don't think I'll be safe here," said Jinki and nodded to himself.
The woman stepped closer to Hyeop and crossed her arms in front of her chest. Hyeop stared at the woman. Why he felt like she knew something he don't. "Always take your medicine and do not stress yourself or else... everything will go insane again."
Hyeop's eyes widen after her words. How come she knew that he is taking medicine?!
"Who are you?"
The woman only raised her brow before walking away without answering his question. The trio watched her in confusion.

"I don't know but that doesn't matter right now." Hyeop faced his friends with worry in his eyes. "I need weapons,"
"Why?" Jinki asked.
Hyeop doesn't want his friends to be part of his dangerous situation and police won't help him either as they've been dealing with the cases they've been working out for these past few weeks. "Just for... nothing," he bit his lower lip but the other two didn't seem convinced at all. Hyeop sighed in defeat. "I need your help to get my twin back."
"What happened to him?!" Jinki almost screamed and thankfully there were no students in this area. Just then, Homin took noticed the bite mark on Hyeop's neck.
Homin rummaged his pocket and handed him the band aid. Hyeop was confused at first but when he pointed at his neck, his eyes widen and quickly clasped his hand over his neck.
"You see... we've been kidnapped and I'm lucky to be able to escape from their nest but Junhyuk is still there."
Jinki put a hand on his shoulder.
"We are glad to help you, help your twin!"
"Do you perhaps know about how to kill werewolves?"
They looked up at the first building. There was a small metal plate attached to the overhanging sheaf. Gwasang Private Library. They had a long way to drive but the heat began to pour into Jinki who was wearing sweater and polo. He loosened his collar while looking at the sheaf. They quickened their pace to go inside and at first the trio thought they had come to the wrong place. There was no one there. Not even the workmen.
"Hey, are you sure this is still open? Because I do not see anyone in here," asked Jinki while looking around in the private library that looked almost abandoned from the dust that covered the whole books and shelves.
"I am sure, our manager still coming in here to search about paranormal entities," Homin answered.
Hyeop checked the metal plate in the building, then the time on his phone. They were both correct and this is not the time for closing the library until he noticed the clock above the counter. The time wasn't as exact here as it was. He began to walk slowly around the building, reading the names on the shelves. At last he found what he was looking for; hidden in a shaded corner underneath. An instinct made
him reached the book he was looking for but suddenly, a hand grabbed his wrist.
Hyeop was shocked and looked at the old man in front of him.
"I do not let strangers touch my books without my permission," he said and let go of his wrist.
Homin and Jinki hurried to his side. "I'm sorry but we need to borrow that book -- " Homin tried to say but the old man shut him off quickly as he turned away and get back arranging the books but not once cleaning it. "You can't," said the old man.
"But we need -- "
"IF I SAID I CAN'T, THEN I CAN'T! GO HOME AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK!"
Hyeop was determined to defeat their kidnappers and get Junhyuk back with him. He removed the aid on his neck and moved in front of the old man, showing his bare neck that have mark bite on it.
"Some alpha bite me even thought I'm not part of them," said Hyeop. "I need to know their weakness, they have my twin -- "
The old man suddenly pulled Hyeop at the corner of the library. "Are you a gloat?" asked the old man that made Hyeop startled. "Or perhaps... are you more than that?"
"No, no, no, I'm a human."
"Oh, yes you are a HUMAN," he said amused that caused Hyeop to confuse even more. "I'll tell you kid, if there's one, the caterpillar can be more than just a worm. Caterpillar can be more like beautiful creature like butterfly." He don't get what the old man was saying but one thing to be sure that he was telling a riddle, very easy riddle but hard to answer. "Werewolves doesn't have weakness. If there's then... it is their mate."
Hyeop took a deep disappointment sighed while staring at the silent street. They don't have any weakness. That's bullshit. How can he defeat them then, or maybe he can sneak and get his twin? That will be a huge risk of getting caught again. They tried to seek help from the police but unfortunately, they were too busy to even talk to them. Until night came, Homin and Jinki went home already and he assured them that he'll gonna get his twin back. They seemed skeptical but when he mentioned that he have plan, they're somewhat convinced and went home but not when they made sure that he'll call them if something gone wrong.
Hyeop turned on the engine but it doesn't goes on. He tried and tried again until he noticed that he was out of fuel. He cursed out loud before getting out of the truck.
He looked around. The wind was chilly and he felt like he was being watched by someone.
He shivered at the thought about them, stalking him to get him back to their dwell.
No way, he will never come back there again.
But his twin...
