Chapter 13
Those were undoubtedly the worst because that flirty look quickly flipped into one that screamed disgust and appallment. The furrowed brows and grimace on their fake lips was evidence of the trademarked 'oh. His bitchy girlfriend is here too' expression.
The look didn't bother me if they kept walking, it only bothered me if they then tried to stop and flirt. It's one thing to ignore me then flirt with my man, it's a whole nother thing to acknowledge me and then continue to flirt with the man on my arm like I'm not there.
And that's exactly what this woman did.
She stopped in front of him on the sidewalk outside the dinning hall and smiled. "Hey, are you Finn Riley?" Granted that my hand wasn't in his this time, I couldn't exactly get annoyed just yet. She ignored me and Sam and continued to solely focus all her attention on the man to my right.
"Yeah," He replied with a slight smile but it was obvious he wasn't interested. It would be rude to just brush past her completely. I mean, high school him might have done that but he was a changing man. I wouldn't complain that he was being slightly friendlier.
"That's so cool. Maybe we would get a drink some time." The girl said and reached out to caress his bicep with her nude colored claws. I think that's a new record for amount of time until attempted physical contact. Talk about desperate. If she could feel the heat of my otherwise comatose glare, she didn't let on to it.
"Not interested." Finn said before brushing past her.
Oh well, nice Finn can only last so long.
I couldn't help but snort lightly and smile at the girl whose face returned to the bitter twisted one she wore when she saw first saw me. She glared at me fiercely before muttering "bitch" and walking away.
I rolled my eyes at her retreating figure while turning to catch up with Finn who waited a foot ahead. "Does that happen often?" Sam asked in confusion with drawn brows while opening the door to the dinning hall for us. "All the fucking time." I muttered and walked into the building.
"Don't remind me." Finn muttered in the same tone while passing Sam through the doorway. "You'd think they would get the message."
"Are guys like that too? Because I'd say you're each half of a very attractive duo." Sam complimented while climbing the tile stairs with us. The dinning hall seemed to be split level because on the sides of the main staircase, there were two skinny stairs going down.
"That's the difference. Guys see me with him and they realize he can knock them out just by looking at them. Girls have no such fear of me. I mean sure I get catcalled when I'm not with Finn but that's rare." Girls just lacked a certain amount of respect for relationships like that. Most men could look at a hot girl with a guy who seems more dominant than them and respect him for landing a hot chick.
At least that's how Jason laid it out for me.
As soon as we entered the dinning hall it seemed like everyone's eyes were on us. It was like Finn and I had neon glowing signs above our heads that said 'stare at me!'
It was honestly becoming annoying. They either looked at us for three possible reasons; our faces are plastered on the news for a rape case, our faces are plastered on the news for the Olympics, or they think we're hot.
I'm guessing it's a combination of the first two for me and more or less that latter for Finn.
"Damn. And I thought being popular is high school was freaky." Sam whispered under his breath as we crossed the area with tables to get to the food lines. All three of us were on diets for sports so Sam lead us straight to the salad bar. "So where are your friends, loser?" Finn couldn't help but point out to Sam. His best friend rolled his eyes while filling a bowl with spinach.
"In classes or at practice. I ditched them for your sorry asses so you should be grateful." Sam stated defiantly while raising his chin slightly. I couldn't help but crack a small smile at him.
"Liar." I called Sam out jokingly when a small blonde girl appeared from behind us.
"Hey Sam. What's with the two models?" He girl asked. Her blasé tone made her seem like a girl version of Finn. Her crossed arms and bored expression made them almost identical as brother and sister.
"Which is why we are the ones taking you home. Because we are the lonely ones on campus who need saving from our killer roommate." Finn mocked while putting his right hand on Sam's shoulder.
"Ah," The girl said like she finally put it all together. "This is the famous couple Sam whines about all the time. I was beginning to think you were in a long distance polyamorous relationship with them biased on how often you talk about them but judging by the contempt on both their faces that must not be the case."
I narrowed my eyes at Sam and he innocently shrugged. "I was talking about Al and Chris. You know, my OTP."

The girl with the nose ring snorted. "Okay, you're officially the stupidest person I know. You told me their names were Finn and Sylvia. Second of all, I doubt you know two couples who look like they've lived in the gym all their life." "Blunt and mean. I like it. I'll take that as a compliment, by the way." I chimed in. I held out my free right hand to the girl with the nose ring. "I'm Sylvia, as you guessed."
She took my hand and gave me a firm handshake. "Kelsey." Upon a closer inspections, you could make out the sleeves of tattoos on both her arms. She was defiantly a bad ass. "I hear you're about as much of a dick as I am so we'll get along just fine."
I laughed and sent Sam a look. "Glad to hear you tell your friends all these positive things about me." Sam pretended to ignore me and continued to build his salad where he left off.
"I'm guessing this tall drink of water is Finn?" Kelsey said while raising her eyebrow and scanning her eyes over my boyfriend. It wasn't in a sexual way, it was more of a critical way. "Yeah. Would you mind saying that again? I think my girlfriend needs a reminder." Finn looked at me with a smirk.
"Don't boost his ego."
"Don't plan on it. According to Sam he's an even bigger asshole than the two of us combined." Kelsey responded with a smirk while crossing her arms. "We're supposed to tear down egos, not build them up."
I smiled brightly and gave Sam a friendly punch on the arm. "Finally, you did something right. I think I might just replace you with Kelsey."
I had a feeling this meal wouldn't be too bad.
