Chapter Swept Into a Fairytale Marriage 100
Chapter 100 Her Medical Skills are Quite Impressive
Downstairs, in a tranquil restaurant, warm yellow light illuminated the space while the sound of rain pattered outside.
Adrian and Germaine sat at a table apart, with a few signature dishes steaming in front of them. Their enticing aroma filled the air.
They were holding cutlery as they dug in.
The features on Adrian’s face had a regal sharpness, like that of nobility.
He ate in silence, even sipping soup without a sound. Elegance emanated from him effortlessly.
Germaine had changed into a light blue dress, and she had also changed her earrings. Sitting across fror him, her expression was gentle, as if she were on a date with the man she adored.
She stole glances at him, wishing this beautiful moment would last just a little longer. Mimicking his composure, she tried to eat quietly, though her heart raced faster with every glance.
Adrian remained silent, and Germaine struggled to find a topic. For some reason, when they were alone. together, her mind felt a little foggy.
“I have a video meeting this afternoon. Unless it’s something urgent, you don’t have to look for me,” he said, putting down his cutlery and gently wiping his already clean lips with a silk napkin.
“Alright.” Germaine, too, had work to attend to. “I saw the forecast. The rain is expected to stop around 7 00 pm. It would be better to head into the village early tomorrow morning.”
“Mm.”
With that, Adrian stood up and left, while Germaine remained seated. She watched his tall and slender figure retreat as a pang of disappointment hit her–was he going to look for Farrah?
He brought Farrah along but didn’t invite her to join him for lunch. What did that mean?
Or perhaps… Farrah came here on her own?
Germaine began to doubt her previous judgments. Was it possible that Farrah had come on her own?
The relentless pain outside suddenly darkened Germaine’s mood.
Once Adrian returned to his room, he joined a video meeting.
He was about to sign an important contract online, so he drafted it in real–time so that the other party could see it as well.
He was very familiar with the application, and he switched the screen multiple times in just three seconds, rapidly inputting basic information before checking for accuracy.
Adrian was remarkably professional in many aspects.
After the meeting concluded, he walked into the bathroom while holding a bathrobe. He turned on the shower, then began to unbutton his shirt. He intended to take a quick shower.
As he removed his shirt and unwound the bandage from his arm, he was pleasantly surprised to find that the scars were no longer as severe as before; they had clearly improved significantly.
Just a few applications of medicine and the results were astonishing.
Adrian stared at his arm, a spark of light Igniting in his eyes. An unusual excitement bubbled within him.
Farrah had some Impressive medical skills!
Half an hour later, after finishing his shower, Adrian emerged wearing a white bathrobe, exuding a charisma that was hard to ignore.
On this rainy day, the sky darkened earlier than usual.
As he was drying his hair, there came a knock on the door.
He instinctively assumed it would be Farrah and quickly opened the door, only to find Germaine standi outside.
She clearly saw Adrian’s expression change slightly, as if he were a bit disappointed.
“Um…” Germaine smiled, holding neatly folded clothes. “My water pipe is broken. Is it alright if I take shower here?”
Adrian felt this was utterly ridiculous!
His handsome expression hardened slightly, but before he could respond, another voice cut in, “Ms. Keller, why not shower in my room?”
Germaine turned at the sound to see Farrah leaning against the doorframe, her face beaming as she said “It would be inconvenient for you to shower in Mr. Locke’s room. After all, he’s married, and given the hierarchical relationship between you two, who knows how the reporters would spin it?”
Although Germaine wore a smile, she was seething inside, wishing she could eliminate this obnoxious woman!
But she had no choice but to turn toward Farrah. “Thank you,” she said, her tone pleasant but her gaze icy “You’re welcome.” Farrah stepped aside, allowing her to pass.
After Germaine entered Farrah’s room, she walked up to Adrian. “I need to talk to you.”
It just so happens that I have something to discuss with you as well,” Adrian replied, turning and entering his room. Farrah followed, closing the door behind her.
Germaine lingered at the door, her heart sank upon witnessing this scene.
