Chapter Sweet 24

I Deserve Compensation

Sigrid was a little flustered. When she walked into the lobby on the first floor, she saw many people with

uniforms.

“Good morning, Mr. Toland.”

“Morning, Mr. Toland.”

As they walked in, a lot of people greeted George and all looked at her curiously.

Sigrid felt that there should be a lot of people who knew who she was. After all, a few days ago, she and Rebecca had been on the list of hot posts together.

The two walked into the president’s private elevator. Sigrid lowered her head and tried to act like she wasn’t there, but the man beside her whispered in her ear, “Raise your head.”

She subconsciously did as he said and lifted her head. The next second, the door of the elevator slowly

closed.

*Do you have so little courage?” George raised his eyebrows.

“No, I just feel strange.” Sigrid frowned. It was her first time coming to the Toland Group offices, and she had been stared at by so many people as if she were a monkey in the zoo. It would not be long before all the people in the company knew that she had come to work with George today.

Sigrid could imagine the power of gossip in the crowd, and it would soon generate various rumors within the Toland Group.

At ten o’clock in the morning after George had finished a part of his work, the secretary knocked on the door and came in to report, “Mr. Toland, Miss Vincent is here…”

Sigrid, who was sitting in front of a small table playing with her mobile phone, stopped. She was already here, so it was obvious who ‘Miss Vincent‘ referred to.

George glanced at Sigrid and said, “Let her in.”

About half a minute later, Rebecca walked in wearing high heels.

Seeing that Sigrid was also present, there was a hint of imperceptible envy in Rebecca’s eyes. was a polite smile on her face. “George, I have something to talk to you about alone.”

but there

She purposefully emphasized the word ‘alone‘.

Sigrid was stunned. She was about to stand up, but after thinking about it for several seconds, she glanced at George.

George did not speak, and Rebecca felt a little embarrassed. In her heart, she was angry that George had taken advantage of her for three years and yet showed no respect to her at all. She was pissed off!

“It’s about the past three years. Last time, I was too excited. I left before I finished my words. This time I’m going to make it clear to you for your own good.” Rebecca said the last words slowly with clear implication.

She’d guessed that Sigrid must not know that George liked her now. Knowing George’s temperament, Rebecca surmised that he would wait to tell Sigrid after Sigrid first confessed that she liked him,

This was the bargaining chip she felt she had to talk with George now.

George did not remain silent this time. “Wait for me in the lounge,” he said to Sigrid.

Deserve Compensation

Sigrid didn’t know that the other door in George’s office led to a lounge. She thought it led to a bathroom, so she went straight out of the office and went outside to look for the lounge.

‘Is she jealous? Or is she angry?‘ he wondered to himself.

Rebecca watched Sigrid walk out of the office and grinned. She also thought that Sigrid was acting a little angry. It was interesting for women to play at being angry occasionally, but it always made people impatient if they played it up too much.

After the door of the office closed, George said, “Go ahead.”

“Over the past three years you used me to get close to Sigrid, and now you’ve ruined my reputation. Don’t I deserve compensation?” Rebecca was very angry when she thought of the pile of insults in her private message box and that many people even told her to get out of the entertainment business.
