Chapter 712 Alienation
After taking a shower, Nancy went back to their bedroom and found Charles reading some documents.
"Why are you still awake?" Slowly, she walked over to get on the bed.
As soon as Charles heard her voice, he put down the documents on the bedside table and looked at her. "You're so gentle tonight."
"Didn't you say that we should control our emotions? Are you not used to me being nice? Should I be rude instead?"
"We are a couple. We should talk nicely, but it doesn't mean that we should be alienated from each other..."
Before he could finish his words, Nancy corrected, "We're not married yet. Don't forget it."
"Right. We are an unmarried couple, but Nancy, we can't keep on hurting each other. We love each other!" Although he was disappointed that she corrected him, he still looked at her with so much affection. "You are so sentimental." Hearing the word "love" made Nancy feel a little shy.
While Charles took this as an opportunity to reach out and hold her in his arms.
"Today was really tiring, so I want to have some rest. You promised me to go to bed early, so tonight, we'll just sleep."
"Just sleep..." A mischievous smile appeared on Charles' face, as if he was planning something else.
True enough, his hands began to touch her body restlessly.
"Charles, I'm really tired. Let me rest, okay?" Then she removed his hands away from her body.
"Your hair is still wet, and you can't sleep yet." Stroking her hair, Charles added domineeringly, "As a doctor, you know that it's better to let the hair dry naturally. We can't sleep while our hair is still wet, so we have to wait and probably do something."
"Charles, you are looking for every reason!"
"No, it's just so boring. I think we should do something to kill time."
Before she could say no, he had already climbed up on top of her.
For some reason, she didn't have much desire today, and her eyelids were heavy. All she wanted to do was lie down and sleep peacefully.
"Charles, stop it. Do you know how annoying you are?"
"Well, I just like to bother you. Don't lose your temper. If you lose your temper..."
"No, I'm not angry." All of a sudden, Nancy realized that the rules he made were probably meant to restrain her.
Because it seemed like every time she wouldn't agree to his request, he would mention these rules.
"Charles, I want us to discuss the rules you made tonight. You can't use them against me on this matter. You're threatening me. It's unfair. I should have the right to protest."
"Well, tell me, am I the only one who wants it?" The burning passion in his eyes made Nancy tremble.
Obviously, Charles was trying to stir up her desire. He was confident that his face and his body would be enough to make her want him.
And if she would be honest, it was effective. She was indeed seduced.
His strong chest and his strong arms made her a little fickle.
"Charles, I..." said Nancy in a dry voice.
"Don't say anything more. I know you want me too." The next second, he was already pressing his body against her.
Just as he was about to succeed, Nancy stopped her.
"Stop it, Charles." Nancy felt some hot liquid gushed out of her body.
"What's wrong?" Charles asked with a frown.
"We can't do it anymore, because I have my period now. You know that."
In an instant, Charles' face turned gloomy. Why did Nancy's period come at such a time?
Was it to annoy him?
Unable to bear the disappointment on Charles' face, Nancy coaxed him. "Please be patient. I'll be fine in a few days."
For a moment, Charles was silent, then he slowly got off of her and lay down next to her. "Nancy, you really don't know men's physiological conditions." "I'm a doctor. I know a little." She smiled sheepishly.
From the very first time she had her period, it had always been irregular. Sometimes it came too early, and sometimes it was delayed.
Therefore, she came to a gynecologist, and found out that her uterus had been hurt before.
Nancy knew how it happened.
She had her first period when she was twelve years old.
It was a summer day, and Jill bought a lot of mangoes. Then she asked the servants to cut and dry them.
When Clark found out about this, he scolded her, saying that it was tedious. He also told her that she should've just bought some from the supermarket.
But Jill still insisted on peeling and basking fresh mangoes in the garden. In the end, Clark just let her be.
No one expected that it would rain that night, so Jill left the mangoes outside. Therefore, she was shocked when it did.
In the middle of the night, Jill had woken up the servants, and then she knocked on Nancy's door. "Nancy, don't just sleep there! Get up and help collect the dried mangoes."
Since Nancy had a period at that time, it felt as though she had no strength to move. She didn't get up, and kept her eyes closed.
To her annoyance, Jill kept knocking on the door louder than the thunder outside.
But still, Nancy didn't move. Instead, she covered her ears with her hands and turned her back at the door.
"Nancy, I raised you for nothing. I feed you every day, and I give you everything. But you pretend to be deaf and dumb at critical times. It wasn't easy to cut those mangoes into slices, how could you just let them get wet by the heavy rain?"
Her voice was so annoying that Nancy could no longer go back to sleep. So in the end, she got out of bed and changed her clothes before she opened the door.
"I'm awake now, okay? I'll go with you to collect dried mangoes." "That's how a daughter should act like. Hurry up and go.
The rain outside was heavy, and the wind was strong. Even so, the servants were all busy gathering the dried mangoes.
"Hurry up, Nancy." When Nancy didn't move, Jill slightly pushed her.
With a sigh, Nancy ran into the rain with an umbrella. But the wind was so strong that the umbrella could not protect her at all, so she was soon wet by the rain.
A few minutes later, she complained about her aching stomach, but Jill didn't allow her to go back to her room, just like a supervisor.
Nancy couldn't hold on any longer. Her face turned pale, and then she collapsed under the rain while supporting her stomach.
Since then, her belly would hurt every time she had her period, and it became irregular.
Jill didn't bother apologizing to her. Instead, she blamed her for being too weak to withstand the rain.
Although Nancy chose not to refute, she thought, 'Didn't it happen because you exposed me to the rain?' Why didn't Jill ask Fannie to work that day instead? This thought made Nancy realize that whatever she did, she was wrong in Jill's eyes.
Nancy now realized Jill just wanted to destroy her uterus and make her infertile.
Indeed, Jill was a vicious woman!
"What's wrong? You look troubled." As he fetched some sanitary pad for her, Charles glanced at her worriedly.
"My stomach hurts so bad. You won't understand!" Many women had experienced this kind of pain. It was desolate, tugging, and heartbreaking.
"How about I get you some painkillers?" After handing her the sanitary pad, Charles went to get some painkillers.
"Okay." Not all women had dysmenorrhea, and it didn't always happen. It was a woman's dysmenorrhea would decrease or disappear after she gave birth to a child. Unfortunately for Nancy, even after she had two children, her dysmenorrhea did not weaken, but became even more severe.
