Chapter 678
Chapter 678
*1-.-“Larissa “1” Larissa bit her lip. She looked up at Kevan in a pitiful manner, her voice as whiny as a newborn kitten. “I don’t
feel good.”
The flush on her face never disappeared. The heat from her body spread to Kevan’s skin from Larissa’s palm.
Kevan’s feigned calmness shattered at once.
He retreated to her side and felt her forehead with his free hand. The burning heal made him frown. “Why is your fever still so
high?”
Larissa shook her head, “I don’t know. I got injections and took medicine.”
But her temperature kept shifting. It would go down temporarily because of the medicine, but soon it would go up again.
“Hospital, now,” Kevan decided at once. Such symptoms did not seem like a regular cold.
Larissa used his hand to pull herself up.
“Can you walk?” Kevan stared at her still-not-fully recovered legs.
“Yes,” Larissa took one step and fell into Kevan’s arms in the next second.
Kevan’s arms wrapped around her waist in time, and he held her tightly.
“Yes?” He raised a mocking eyebrow at her.
Larissa lowered her head in embarrassment. 1. Before she could even think of a good excuse, her legs left the floor suddenly,
and she was in Kevan’s arms in a bridal carry.
The momentary fear and panic forced Larissa to hug Kevan’s neck and her face nearly slammed into his.
After calming down, she sensed that they were too intimate with each other, so she frantically let go at once to put distance
between themselves-but because of their current positions, there was not much distance to put between them.
Kevan watched her little movements silently without any noticeable expressions on his face. But his lips pressed together a little
tighter.
Because he had drunk wine, Kevan did not drive but brought his driver instead.
On the way to the hospital, he sat in the back of the car with Larissa in his arms, where she was firmly placed on his lap.
Larissa only felt super uhcomfortable, especially when there was a stranger driving in front. She struggled in an attempt to leave
Kevan’s
arms. “Put me down now
Kevan pressed down on her shoulders. “Larissa” His voice was hoa rse, and his eyes were terrifyingly dark. “If you move again, I
will take
you right here.”
Larissa had already seen Kevan’s ruthlessness in bed more than once. Although she was not too sure if he would actually take
her in the car, she still stopped moving for safety’s sake. She sat there obediently, her hands on her lap with a straight back,
looking like a student who was afraid of punishment.
Kevan snorted lightly. He used a finger to tuck some of her long hair behind her ear to show her pretty lace.
“You’d get scared, too, huh?” Kevan growled through gritted teeth. He thought that with how heartless she was, she would be
unafraid of
anything and everything.
Larissa did not dare talk back to him, so she just pretended not to hear what he said. Thankfully, the hotel was not far from the
hospital, so
her suffering did not last long.
When it was time to get out of the car, Kevan still refused to let her go. They ended up becoming the most attractive pair in the
crowd.
People were giving them all sorts of stares. Larissa fell super uncomfortable. She decided to just bury her lace into Kevan’s neck
so she
did not have to see the others. But the comments in low voices still reached her ears.
“Woah! That guy’s so handsome”
1
“Oh yeah! That’s so f ucking romantic carrying his girlfriend all the way Into the hospital!
“Ahhhhhh! I wish I were her!’
“Man, how shameless must they be to hug each other like that in public?
