Chapter 676
Chapter 676
Kevan had been distracted for the whole day. Even during his meeting, he would pick up his phone and glance at IL
Larissa never looked for him.
He could not tell what he was feeling. He wished Larissa would take the initiative to talk to him, Alas, he was also afraid that she
would say things that he did not want to hear,
He had seen how cold she was to him during these two days–so much so that it could be counted as scom.
His gamble this time still achieved results that were the exact opposite of what he wanted. But he did not regret it.
Aster’s parentage would have to be brought up at some point. It was better to solve it early than drag it all out.
He saw the news from his subordinate. Larissa and Lewis had gone to the cemetery. Larissa and Lewis had gone back to the
hotel Lewis had canceled tonight’s flight tickets
Kevan was a little happy. He could not help but wonder if Larissa’s choice to stay was because of him.
Larissa’s WhatsApp message was rather sudden.
He has been reading the documents that had piled up in his office. When his phone vibrated, he eagerly opened WhatsApp.
Alas, his joy turned into anxiety when he saw what Larissa had willen.
What did she want to talk about? Aster? Or about their relationship?
With the way she was acting these days, it was reasonable for Kevan to believe that Larissa wanted nothing to do with him.
Kevan felt reluctant to see her for the last time ever in his life. But the problems between them had to be fixed. In the end, he
could not run away forever.
After dragging things out for a very long time, he only replied. “Til head over around 6 pm.”
Before he left the company, he drank half a small bottle of red wine to give himself some courage. It did not work. His heart was
still racing when he stood before Larissa’s room door.
He spent quite some time calming himself before he called Larissa and said, “Open the door, I’m outside your room.”
Larissa opened the door and smelled the wine on Kevan.
Frowning, she asked, “You’ve been drinking?”
Kevan’s expression remained unchanged. The only thing that betrayed how nervous he felt was the way he clenched his fist in
his pocket.
“I had met with a client,” he said.
If he went to meet with a client, there would definitely be someone following him.
Larissa’s worry that he might have driven drunk vanished at once, and her frown disappeared. She stepped aside to let him in.
“Come in.”
She got him to sit down on the sola in the living room. Then, she went to search for drinks in the refrigerator.
“Have some water.”
Kewan did not refuse her goodwill. The truth was, his mouth did feel a little dry.
Larissa passed the water over and sat near him. There was a good deal of space between them.
“I heard that you made the hospital employee who made things difficult for me lose his job.”
She spoke directly.
Kevan had not yet had the chance to swallow the water he had just drunk. So, her words made him choke. He kept coughing
with a hand
stain on his thigh.
Larissa immediately got some tissues to help dry his pants.
When she reached out, she realized just how awkward the location was. She sheepishly pulled her hand back and pretended
nothing had
happened. Her already red face from the fever turned redder from the embarrassment.
Kevan put the bottle of water aside. He had stopped coughing, but his red lace was no different from Larissa’s.
