Sweet Subterfuge

Chapter 653

Chapter 653
“Move” After the ambulance left, the police marched Lana Into the police car that had just got there too.
The parking lot became quiet once more.
Sharon, who was alone, took a deep breath and said out loud, “You can come out now. The show’s already over.”
Dylan and Kevan, who were hiding behind a big car, were shocked. They looked at each other before coming right out.
“Did you two plan this? Sharon tried her best to ask calmly even though she was feeling all kinds of negative emotions in her
heart.
Kevan said nothing.
Although Dylan had not participated in anything, he remained silent, too, for he did not want to betray his friend. He did not dare
to look into Sharon’s eyes as he was afraid that she might get a hint from his face.
However, the way he looked down with his eyes drifting here and there was just proof of his guilt to Sharon
Her heart sank gradually as her voice trembled. “You really hate me that much?”
Her sudden question confused Dylan. “What?” He frowned because he was unable to figure out what this question had to do
with the first question,
Enraged, Sharon continued on without noticing anything strange about Dylan. “If you want revenge on me because you hate me.
I can understand that. I can accept it too. But you can’t take it out on my family! Her eyes burned red as the so bs began to break
her voice. “My family is my bottom line, I don’t want them to get hurt because of me. I’ve suffered enough for all these years.
Let’s get a divorce. You’re free.”
Dylan was completely stunned. A long moment later, he spoke in disbelief, “What are you saying?”
I said that I want a divorce.” Sharon furiously held back her tears and forced a smile on her face. “You’re free. Happy now?”
Dylan stared at her as he tried to see the evidence of a lie on her face. But there was nothing. She really made up her mind to
divorce him, and she was not just threatening him,
Deliberately ignoring the suffocating fear, Dylan looked away and smiled lazily. The smile was mocking too. “Of course I’m happy.
I’m so f ucking happy right now. You’d better keep your word. Don’t regret it by then.”
Sharon bil her lip and looked at him with disappointment. “I’m going upstairs.” She looked down, composing herself in the fastest
way possible. She could not lose it all now. There was still a huge mess waiting for her upstairs.
“Wait
Kevan spoke up anxiously, but he had only said one word when Dylan stopped him.
After Sharon’s silhouette vanished from the entrance of the parking lot, Kevan asked Dylan, “Why didn’t you let me explain?”
Kevan’s silence at the beginning was because he had not yet thought of how to explain to Sharon. He was still thinking of what
to say when everything developed into a direction that he had zero control over

“What is there to explain? Isn’t this great? She finally agreed to divorce me.” Dylan smiled and ignored Kevan’s resistance as he
slung a arm around Kevan’s shoulders. He walked out with him this way and said. “Let’s go and have a celebratory drink! I’m
going to get my freedom back, and you have to be happy for me!
As his friend for many years, Kevan could naturally see that he did not mean what he said.
“If you don’t really want to part with her, then get her back yourself. Otherwise, once you’ve divorced, you will be the only person
who regrets it,”
Kevan let this deeply because he had experienced the same thing.
“Listen to me. Take my advice.” Kevan urged him. “Don’t f uck around. Spend the rest of your life properly with Sharon.”
Dylan Irritably yanked his arm back and distanced himself from Kevan,
“Whose friend are you now? Why are you speaking up for Sharon these days? Fine! If you don’t want to be happy for me. line! |
someone else to drink with me!”
