Chapter 637
Chapter 637
Kevan skimmed through all the information. He placed the stack of documents down. He picked up the phone on his office desk.
“Check and see if any department in the company received a resume from a man named Andrew Hardy.”
He received a reply soon after, “Farnworth Finances received his resume.”
Famworth Finances was a financial service company under Microworks Corporation. Since Andrew was a finance graduale, it
was understandable that he sent his resume there.
Kevan tapped on the desk lightly with his index and pondered for a moment. Nobily him to come in for work as soon as possible”
If Andrew wanted a job, he would give him what he wanted, as long as that family would stop stirring up more trouble for Larissa.
Time flew by, and it was Saturday. Early in the morning, Dylan knocked on Kevan’s door, “Are you ready? Can we leave now?”
Unlike Dylan, who was dressed up in a suit Kevan was in his black silk pajamas leisurely drinking a cup of coffee in his living
room. Holding the mug in one hand, he held his phone in the other, fully focused on the screen. Smiling faintly, Kevan’s eyes had
a hint of amusement in them.
Dylan could tell what Kevan was doing at a glance. “Are you chatting with Aster?”
Without looking up at him, Kevan responded with a grunt. Now that Aster knew more vocabulary, he occasionally would send
text messages to Kevan during their chats. However, it was inevitable that Aster would make spelling mistakes as he was still a
young child. Because of that Kevan was always patient to comect his mistakes and help Aster improve.
Dylan nudged Kevan with his feet. “Can’t you chat with him tomorrow? It’s getting late, so we need to hurry. Kevan tumed around
and shot him with a fierce glare. “It’s not like I’m the one getting married. Why do I have to leave so early?”
The wedding invitation stated the event would start at 11:30 am. It would take no more than hall an hour to drive from his house
to the
venue.
“But I have to be there earlier! We agreed that you would keep my company today! How could you go back on your word?”
Dylan’s eyes were full of resentment.
As the eldest son-in-law of the Davis family and the bride’s brother-in-law, Dylan had to be there early to help with the setup. His
contract with Sharon stipulated that on family occasions such as this, they needed to cooperate with each other and play the role
of a perfect couple.
Still Dylan felt uncomfortable if it were only him and Sharon alone.
After careful consideration, he decided to bring Kevan along to ease the awkward atmosphere.
Dylan dragged Kevan up from the sola. “Come on! Sharon has called me three times to hurry up! If I don’t appear there right
now, she’ll kill me!”
