Chapter 620
Aster was taller than the last time Kevan saw him, and he was a little stronger too. When he slammed into Kevan, the man was
knocked back a few steps. But luckily, he was able to catch Aster while remaining on his leel
“Daddy” Aster’s arms were wrapped firmly around Kevan’s neck, his little face beaming with joy.
Kevan hummer lightly in response, turning around to leave with the kid in his arms. “Hungry?” Kevan asked, and Aster nodded,
his eyes sparkling with anticipation. I want to eat Daddy’s cooking!”
This was what Kevan promised him before he came here. “Sure! Kevan agreed gladly.
There was no pantry in the hotel suite, so Kevan followed Aster home.
The three–bedroom apartment was jointly purchased by Larissa and Wendy, and they were both paying the monthly mortgage
together. The location of the apartment was not bad, and it was just a few hundred yards away from Aster’s kindergarten. There
was an abundance of commercial streets nearby too. Although it was crowded, one could not hear that much noise due to how
high the apartment was in the building.
Aster played the role of a homeowner very well giving Kevan a pair of slopers after they entered the house. “Sorry, Caddy, we
only have this-
Larissa and Wendy never invited anyone ever because they were afraid of it being troublesome as well as worrying that Aster
would not be used to it Sc, the whole apartment only had their belongings. It was pretty bad. because Aster combed through the
whole shoe cabinet
but still could not find a pair of men’s slippers.
Kevan stared at the pink cotton slippers in his hands, momentarily stuck in a dilemma.
“These are Mommy’s slippers!” Aster knew that Kevan had a serious clean freak issue, so he hastened to explain. “My godma
just washed all the slippers in the house last week and no one has worn Mommy’s slippers, so it’s not dirty at allr
Kevan naturally did not think of Larissa as a filthy person–even if she had worn it before, he did not think it was dirty either. He
was hesitating because this pair of slippers were too feminine, clashing horribly with his style. But he had no choice.
“It’s okay.” He ruffled Aster’s short hair and out the slippers on.
Larissa’s feet were smaller than his, and had his heels were hanging out of the slipper, so he had to tiptoe somewhat when
walking, which made him assume a rather ridiculous posture.
Aster gave him a tour of the apartment. “This is the living room, the dining room, and that’s the kitchen.”
Kevan gave them all a cursory glance. The apartment was decorated in a slightly artistic and refreshing style, with pastel reds,
yellows. and blues appearing frequently. It was similar to the currently trendy Instagram style, so he did not think that this was
Lailssa’s aesthetic preference. Upon asking Aster, sure enough, Wendy was the one who was in charge of every single thing
about the decoration and Item placement.
“This is my godma’s room.” Aster pointed at the room closest to the living room, unknowingly ruining Wendy’s reputation. “It’s a
bit messy inside, so we won’t go see it.”
A couple of steps forward brought them to the second room. “This is my room.” Aster happily opened the door and dragged
Kevan in. The walls of his room were papered with colorful cartoon pictures, Kevan studied them and recognized a few
superheroes on them.
“Hang on!” Aster kicked his slippers oll and climbed up the bay window, drawing the curtains tightly so that no light could shine
through the windows.
“Ta–da!” Kevan was still confused when he heard Aster exclaim with excitement, “Lock”
Aster lipped a switch on the wall, and a soft yellow light it up the whole room.
