Sweet Subterfuge

Chapter 592

Kevan used Aldevian, but Xavier recognized his voice due to how unique the former’s voice was. He sobered up immediately.
Frank pretended not to notice Xavier’s anxiety, “coldly” replying to Kevan, “Sorry, It’s not convenient for me right now. If you have
time tomorrow, please come before 8 am to the Regal Dynasty Hotel. I will give you half an hour.”
“Of course.” Kevan was fairly “generous,” and he did not show any displeasure at Frank’s attitude.
“We’ll see each other tomorrow then,” Frank ended the call without waiting for Kevan’s response.
His “performance” caused Xavier to stare with his jaw hanging. Other than the Rogers themselves, there was no one in Caldor
who would dare to be so discourteous with Kevan, Alter taking some time to compose himself, Xavier forced a smile and asked
Frank, “is your company also responsible for the post-production of Traveling Through Time?”
Seeing how unfazed Frank was toward Kevan, Xavier was more careful than ever, not daring to have any intimate physical
contact with Frank for fear of angering him.
Frank frowned, seemingly imitated. “I have not decided yet,” he said. “This was not a part of our plan, but Mr. Rogers of
Microworks keeps calling me these days. To be honest, instead of just working on post-production, I am more Interested in
getting involved in film production through investing. This way, our revenue would increase 100.”
Xavier quickly made his stance known. “Tve already contacted many A-list actors in the country. They are very interested in
‘Migration to Mars. For directors, I would like to have Stephen del Rio on board. I wonder if you could reler him to us, Mr.
Moore?”
Stephen del Rio was one of the big-shot veteran directors in Tinseltown, and he was adept at shooting sci-fi tims. Many popular
sci-fi films released by Fantasy Utopia were directed by him. All of this information was found out by lan yesterday when he
spent the whole day digging up things on Fantasy Utopia for his survey report.
Recently, Caldor’s film industry had entered a recession in which many intellectual properties failed. Although Xavier was very
confident in “Migration to Mars.” he decided to use the most star-studded crew possible-famous directors, actors, and production
companies that would carry the movie’s box office-to ensure that nothing went wrong.
As for capital-once he had the director and actors figured out, there would naturally be countless companies who would want a
piece of all the action.

Frank agreed readily. “Of course. Stephen and I are old friends. I let him know then, and have him meet you soon.”
Xavier thought to himself. “My comeback plan has progressed to lifty percent now.” With Fantasy Utopia and Stephen del Rio
backing him. all those actors who were waiting on the sidelines or hesitating would likely agree to sign with him at once. He
happily drank two large glasses of liquor.
When the meal came to an end, Frank confided in him. “I really favor Migration to Mars” and your capabilities. I will find an
excuse to refuse ‘Traveling Through Time’ tomorrow, so don’t disappoint me.”
Xavier immediately patted his chest in promise. “We won’t!”
