Chapter 103
While Kevan was showering, she went back to her own room. She found her phone that she had neglected throughout the night
and was surprised to find a few missed calls. Other than crecall that was from the hospita, the others were from an unknown
number. She was certain that the hospital had called regarding Trays, but she also felt that the other cals had something to do
with this. She did not call back and went to take a shower instead to freshen herself up
After that she took her phone with her and went to look for Kewan, He was still in the bathroom, and Larissa could hear the land
sound of nunning water, She started reflecting on hersell, asking herself if she was loo shabby. Even a man put more time into
showering than she did, Kevan only came out of the bathroom after a long time. His pajamas were dirty, so he only had a towel
wrapped around his wast
Larissa was already eating her porridge in the living room. “Aren’t you going to blow dry your hair? She put down her spoon and
looked at him disapprovingy. Kevan had washed his hair but did not wipe it dry. Druplets of water were dilpping down onto his
chest, his back, and the floor. It usually didn’t matter, but he was sics now.
“Give me a moment, said Larissa. She locked for the hair dryer and plugged it in, then beckoned Kevan to sit down on the couch.
She crouched beside him with one hand holding the hair dryer and another combing through his hair. Her fingertips brushed his
scalo and the hot air tickled his ears, making him blush. His hands hurg by his sides out of her sight, and he clenched them into
lists. He had to put a
lot of strength into suppressing his desire of pushing her down onto the couch,
The smooth, thin strands of his hair weaved through Larissa’s fingers, making her want the moment to last longer, When she
switched off the hardryes, she actually tell reluctant “It’s done” she said, Kevan came back to his senses abruptly when the loud
noise from the hair dryer stopped. Even so, the flame burning inside him did not diminish in the least.
Larissa’s phone rang and the call was from an unknown number. Remembering the little misunderstanding between her and
Kevan the previous day. she subconsciously felt like avoiding him. Tm going to answer the phone,” she said and went into the
bedroom. Kevan stared at the shut door as the fire in him extinguished. The surrounding lemperature also seemed to drop to
zero.
“Miss Larissa Seymour?” said a male voice that sounded like someone in his ma–thi–ties.
“That’s me,” answered Larissa.

“It’s a pleasure to talk to you. I’m Sanders, a police officer from the north precinct”
The moment she heard that he was a police officer, she could guess why he had called. “Good day. Officer Sanders. Are you
caling about Traws Hardy’s case?
“Yes.” Officer Sanders confirmed and asked. “The nurses at the hospital told me that you’re at Starry Mountain, Could you hurry
back to the city? We need your assistance on the investigation.” Larissa couldn’t turn the police cown, so she estimated the time
it would take and said, “I might only reach the city in the afternoon.”
“it’s fine. I’ll wall for you at the police station. Just tell my colleagues you’re looking for me when you arrive.”
Larissa did not pack her luggage. She prepared to leave right after changing her clothes. Kevan was still sitting in the living room
and his bowl of porridge was untouched. “Are you going now?” he asked and stood up. “Give me a second to change my
clothes, and II. send you
there.”
Larissa turned him down. “I’ll go by mysell. Don’t you still have to participate in the ever 17′′ She still remembered why he had
brought her
to Starry Mountain.
“The event was last night. We already missed it,” said Kevan plainly, as if he didn’t care at all
