Sweet Revenge

Chapter 872

Chapter 872 Let Me Ask You, Where Is Your Father?
Silvia sighed after hearing Alaia on the phone. She couldn’t leave just yet. Even if she goes into their residence,it would still be
useless.
The blood components on the silver needle had been tested and analyzed, but it would take time to analyze the data found on
the substances. Only then she could prescribed the right treatment for Ray’s.condition.
Although this process could be considered fast, Alaia couldn’t wait any longer.
After all, Ray had a high status and influence. There were many people waiting to see him every day,and he had to deal with
complicated affairs. Even if she wanted to help out,she couldn’t. They had the option to tell the public that Ray was just
sick, however, that could only work for a couple of days. After that, people would catch on and be suspicious.
“Not yet, Silvia replied whilelooking at the liquid in the test tube, analyzing it.
“How long will it take?”Alaia was starting to get anxious.”I don’t want to rush you,but you know how oursituation is.”
Holding the phone tightly,Silvia said in a calm voice, “Alaia, I know you are in a difficult situation, and I know that it is not easy for
you to deal with it now. But the results of the data have not yet come out,and the antidote has not been successfully developed.
It will just be useless for me to go there. “She paused for a minute, thinking carefully of what she would say. “Give me a day. Just
one day and I will definitely bring you theantidote tomorrow.”,
Alaia sighed. Apart from trusting Silvia, she really had no other way out. She replied, “Okay.I’ll wait for you.”
She ended the call. Turning around and walking back to the bed, she sat on the bedside. She gently held his hand while feeling
the sadness overtaking her body.
She whispered as tears roll down her eyes, “You’ll be fine,Dad. Just don’t give up. Please, wait for a littlemore.”
Although her father was comatose, she believed that her father was able to hear what she said.
A knock on the door caught Alaia’s attention. It was the servant’s voice uttering her name. “Miss Alaia...”
Alaia had told them that no one was allowed to enter this room. No one was allowed to come in and takecare of her father except
her If there was anything they need, they had to knock.

Taking a deep breath and wiping the tears off her cheeks, she got up and walked to the door. When sheopened the door, she
couldn’t help but look back, hoping to see her father opening his eyes. However, he wasstill motionless.
Sighing, she opened the door and walked out.She closed the door first before looking at her. servant.”What’s the matter?”
As the daughter of their employer, she had the authority in the house.r Although her father was controlled by drugs and locked
her up for a while, the servants felt that it was just a small dispute between father anddaughter.
“Moran... Mr.Moran’s house is here again,Miss Alaia,’y the servant replied in a low voice.
Frowning, Alaia said, “Didn’t I tell not to allow anyone to enter the house?Dad is still recovering.”
“Yes,but Mr.Moran said he wanted to see you, the servant replied.
Alaia was taken aback. She could push people away easily, but Mr.Moran was a different case.He was, after all,her relative. Her
uncle. Now that they were here, she needed to think of something.
Alaia was silent for a while before replying to her servant.”Pretend that you don’t see me. Tell them I’m nothere.”
The servant nodded. “Understood,miss.”
Just as the servant was about to turn around, she heard commotion from downstairs, it was followed by the sound of messy
footsteps. There was not only one person but a bustling crowd.
“Miss Alaia!”The servant looked at her in shock. Alaia was also surprised, but there was no change on her face, she just waved
her hand and said. “Don’t panic.Let me have a look.”
She walked in front, and as soon as she reached the stairs, she saw the crowds of people below. There were at least a dozen
people, and they were all adults. And in the middle of the crowd, there were voices of people talking among them.
Another servant in their household dealt with the commotion. He told them, “Mr. Moran, please do not cause any ruckus. If you
continue to ignore the order,Sir Miller will be angry.”
“Then let him.”Kane looked up and yelled with confidence, “Ray.come out and scold me!l will accept it even if you hit me.But first,
let me see you!I have something important to ask of you!”
“Uh,Miss Alaia...”The servant beside her called her in a low voice.

Alaia raised a hand, and then went downstairs. She thought that Kane would not leave easily and she had to deal with it herself
As she walked down the stairs, she spoke, “I wonder why the first floor is too noisy. It
turned out that it was Uncle Moran.”
Everyone turned to look at her.Kane too looked. The servant downstair immediately smiled like he saw a savior. He rushed
toward her and wiped his sweat before saying.”Miss Alaia,I tried stopping them but Mr.Moran won’t listen. He forced himself in
together with these people.”
“I see You may all go back to your own chores. This is my uncle. I’ll take care of him.”Alaia glanced at the
servant with a meaningful look.
Although the servants still had doubts, they had no other choice but to back down because she was, after all, their employer’s
daughter.
Seeing that Alaia didn’t make a fuss, and what she said was quite pleasant,Kane felt a little better. He nodded and said,”Great It
seems that you remembered well I am your relative. Do you also remember what day it is today?”
Alaia was taken aback by the question.
Seeing her suprised face, Kane figured out she hadn’t thought of it at all. He sneered. “Today is the day of your cousin’s
funeral,don’t you remember?”
For the second time, she was stunned. She indeed forgot about it...
There had been so many things happening at home. Her father’s situation was still in the process of recuperation.Because of
that, she had to deal with so many visits, both sincere and malicious. Although sheheard about Kelly a few days ago,it was only
a brief moment..So how was she supposed to remember it when she had other responsibilities she needed to attend first?
What was more, Kelly’s death was too sudden and full of doubts. She wasn’t informed how long the result. of her autopsy was,
let alone what date they arranged the funeral.
And seeing Kane’s face right now, he seemed to be angry. He looked like he would go on a rampage anytime soon. He was
asking for trouble and she could feel that.

But why would he?Could it be because she forgot about Kelly’s funeral? But Kelly almost killed her,and she believed he knew
about that. And even if he didn’t know, her excuse would be enough.
Alaia walked to the small table and pour a glass of water. She handed it to Kane.” Recently, the house has been a bit messy,so I
wasn’t informed.I really don’t know. Condolences to you,Uncle.”
Kane just looked at her, then at the water glass she handed over. His chest felt heavier as the bottle of white wine he drank
before coming was rushing to his head. A scene of his wife crying and passing outplayed out in his head, at the same time,
thinking of his only daughter being buried in that cold cemetery. And now that he was looking at the indifferent and calm face of
his niece whom he had cared since childhood, itmade him furious.
He knocked off the water glass in her hand and pointed at her nose. “Don’t make me go in circles and tell me where your father
is!”
