"Wow, you knew?" Anya went from startled to shocked.
Chad replied, "Well, duh. How else would the money have been transferred if I hadn't given my phone number, bank account, and all that?"
Anya blinked, "Chad, did you buy a lottery ticket? Did you hit the jackpot?"
Chad said, "...I won't be picking you up after school today; make sure you head home early. Oh, and Ms. Anya, set aside $200,000 for me; I've got to pay off the car loan. Use $100,000 as your fun money and another $100,000 as a rainy day fund. Do whatever you like with the rest."

With her boyfriend suddenly loaded, Anya felt confident. On her way home, she bought a ton of snacks and toys, showing them off to Mia and Molly. When Andre got home, she wanted to brag to him too but clammed up when she saw her serious-faced uncle.

"Chad won $600,000 from a lottery ticket," Mia announced. "I want to try my luck with lottery tickets too." Andre, sitting on the couch with his son, asked, "Win $600,000 from a $1,000,000 ticket?"

"No, not drunk, just a little. Just thanking some friends." Chad stumbled out of the elevator, swaying as he leaned on the wall heading back.
