Chapter 47: Khalil's request, Discussion
'Information? What does he want to know?'
Erix and Rin were slightly confused because they had no essential information except one.
Dungeon.
They received a quest to make the military headquarters their base and received a dungeon gate as a reward, so it was highly likely that some people here, most likely Jin and Khalil's team, received a similar quest to make this resort their base.
"Even if you don't have what I want to know, I won't ask for the food back from your stomach, hahaha! So, come on, eat first."
Erix and Rin decided to take up the offer as they were hungry, and Aaron was even more.

After they finished eating, Khalil put a table outside near his area's swimming pool and invited Erix and others there.
"So, what do you want to know?" Erix asked.
"You said you came from the military base, right?" Khalil's expression turned somber. "I am looking for my wife and kid, and since our house is the south of the military headquarters, I am hoping they are there at the military base."
"That's why I told all of you to go there," Rin calmly said. "There are many people there, so you might find your families."
Erix nodded.
"If all of you go in groups, you can reach there without trouble. You are forty people, so I doubt it would be that hard."
"That's where you are wrong," Khalil sighed. "Not all people want to leave this place. Around half of the people here have already lost their families, so they just want to stay here and get gradual power-ups instead of risking their lives."
"A few also took their own lives after losing their families when the groups went out to explore and died or turned zombie."
"Well, I can only say good luck then," Erix lightly said. "If you want to ask something else, go ahead."
"This is more of a request," Khalil took a photo from his pocket and gave it to Erix. "This is my family. I want to leave, but I can't since people are relying on me. I've been saved by them before."
"So, if you see the people in this photo at the military base, can you please tell them I am alive and will come to them as soon as possible?"
Seeing his expression, Isabella hoped Erix and Rin would accept this request.
"Alright," Rin smiled as she took the photo. "Leave it to us."
"Now, let's get on with another topic," Khalil's voice turned lower as he spoke. "I am sure you three are high-level individuals armed with skills and weapons, so…"
Taking a short breath, Khalil narrowed his eyes, "There is a dangerous mutated monkey in the forest, agile and powerful. We were no match for it because we couldn't hit it due to its speed and forest advantage and barely managed to run away because it stopped chasing after killing one of our lowest-leveled members with a strange long-range skill.
"It knows who to target and seems more intelligent."
"That sounds like a troublesome monster," Rin raised her eyebrows.
"That beast knows that some of our groups are exploring the forest, so we can't explore it as freely as before since it wants to hunt us."
Shaking his head, Khalil sighed. "And if we go in large numbers, it just goes into hiding because it can escape very quickly and can detect us since the forest is like a home to that bastard."
"Brother Khalil!"
Hearing the shout, everyone looked behind Khalil as they saw a short light brown-haired man in his early thirties wearing a karate robe walking towards them.
Kharil turned around and raised his eyebrows, "Gordian, where were you?"
"I told you I'll defeat that monkey soon. I fought with it today, but just as I couldn't hit it, I also managed to remain unscathed and returned."
Glancing at Erix, Rin, and Isabella, the man sharply said with narrowed eyes, "No need to ask help from kids and amateurs just to split the loot unevenly. We need movement expertise and combat experience to kill that darn agile monkey."
"Well, there you have it," Erix said before he stood up, not giving in to the provocation or whatever the man was trying to do. "We'll get going now, so thanks for the delicious meal, and good luck killing that monster."
*Whistle!*
The Erix called the Bloodwood Eagle as it descended from the Terence.
"We don't have the energy to stay awake in the first place, so we wouldn't be able to help either way," Rin wryly smiled before she jumped on the Eagle.
Isabella took Aaron and sat on it before Erix commanded it to fly towards the military base. "I'll come in a minute."
"Alright," Rin nodded.
While the Eagle flew away, Erix turned to Khalil and asked, "What's the level of that monkey beast?"
"It's a level 53 Sanguine Ape," Khalil replied.
"Nah," Gordian shook his head. "It was already level 55 when I went to fight it just now."
'He went to fight in the forest while it's already so dark?' Erix was surprised. 'Looks like he has some capabilities and means to see in the dark like the mask I have.'
"I see. I hope you can kill it and acquire transportation items soon," Erix plainly said with a nod before he flew up using his Metal Control skill.
After Erix left, Gordian turned to Khalil with a somber expression, "Brother Khalil, you know that each of us needs to kill two specific Supra-order monsters to complete our time-limited class task. It will be for naught if one of them deals a killing of that monkey instead of us! They didn't seem weak, after all."
"I know, but our weaker teams can't explore the forest because of that monkey. We have to kill it as soon as possible."
"We'll do that tomorrow. I have a perfect plan because I got a new Tier-1 skill to help us against it."
"How short are you to reach level fifty?"
"I am stuck at level 49 since we can't level up by killing lower-level monsters than us. I either need to kill that darn monkey or another monster above level 50 to level up."
"Jin's main team killed a level 54 mutated boar today, so two of them reached level 50," Khalil somberly said, "We have to hurry."
"I know. We'll slaughter that ape tomorrow, no matter what!"
…
On the other hand, Erix quickly caught up to the Bloodwood Eagle and sat beside Rin.
"What do you say, Rin? You only need to kill one monster above level 50 to awaken your class, and that monkey can fulfill that task."
They wanted to kill the monkey since it was a Supra-order monster of level 50+, but not with others.
Monsters above level 50 were still rare. After all, only several mutated creatures could progress quickly due to their mutation and talent in each area as they eat and kill other creatures around them.
"Yeah, we can go to the forest and kill it after completing the dungeon," Rin nodded with a grin.
Erix opened the dungeon opening countdown and fell into thought.
[ Dungeon Gate opening: 2 hours and 23 minutes.]
"So, we can sleep for two hours."
"That's enough," Rin nodded. They only needed two to recover their mind and body because their stats were superhuman, making it such that they didn't need to sleep for several hours to recover.
"Bella, do you want to come with us after the dungeon?" Erix asked.
"Of course. If there are more level 50 monsters in the forest, we can kill them to complete our class tasks."
"Haha, Sis Isabella finally started taking Initiating about killing."
Isabella shrugged. "It is what it is. We need to get stronger to survive further, and I need to hunt a plant-type supra-order monster and a beast-type monster, so we might be able to encounter them in the forest."
Aaron suddenly burped and rubbed his stomach before smiling. "The food here was so delicious, Mum. Can we eat there again tomorrow?"
"We'll see, but don't cry for it, okay?"
"Ok."
After the trio returned to the military base, they saw it was almost silent due to everyone sleeping.
However, they didn't make a commotion since they also wanted to lie on the bed and sleep, so they went to their bunker, entered their rooms, and locked them.
In just several seconds, they all fell asleep like logs since they finally let down their guard and tension to rest.
