Chapter Twenty two.
Today was the day of the mission.
The entire school was outside waiting for our departure. We were still in our training gear but we were ready. The only thing delaying us was the fact that Iris was missing.
" Where the hell is she?!" Mr T asked rubbing his temples.
" I have no idea." Seb replied.
" We have to leave in the next 30 minutes or else our plans will be ruined." Rose said.
" Has any one tried calling her?" Elder Moira asked and I nodded.
" I have, but it's switched off."
" Why does she keep pulling stunts like this?!" Mr T exclaimed in frustration.
" Would you guys just chill." Iris's voice rang out.
We looked around trying to find out where her voice was coming from but we didn't see her.
She then materialised with a smirk on her face. She wore camo cargo pants with a black tank top, a camo baseball cap, black combat boots and a long necklace with a skull pendant.
" Where were you?" Rose questioned and Iris smiled.
" I went to visit a old friend who owed me a favour."
Rose scoffed and was about to speak when I cut her off,
" Let's just go." I said.
" Before we go, I want you all to submit your cubes. Now!"
She passed a small brown bag in which we dropped our cubes. She then took the bag filled with cubes and threw it on the floor.
" Excindo!" She said.
The bag burst out in flames and it disintegrated.
" No!" We yelled and Iris smiled.
" How are we supposed to change into our armours now?!" Bryan exclaimed.
" With these."
She brought out a small black draw string bag from on of her many pockets and threw it at Rose. Rose caught it and opened the bag.
" Pick one." Iris said. She then whispered something to Seb and he smiled.
We passed the bag each one of us picking one of the small discs in the bag.
The discs were about the size of a button and they didn't have holes.
" How do we change?" Tiara asked.
" Flip it."
We flipped the discs and they floated till they were about eye level with us and then the discs released a beam that scanned us.
" Uhh, Iris, what's going on?" Rose asked.
" Just go with it." Iris replied.
After a while the disc attached itself to our arms and as the custom of Supernaturals, there was a blinding light.
" Don't worry there's not going to be a blinding light each time you change." Iris assured.
The light finally dimmed and we were not in our armours but we were now wearing sleek black suits. It fit perfectly.
" These are your mission suits. What?, You thought you were going to wear armour forever?! Armours are too flashy and heavy. These suits are light and discrete. They are a perfect blend of human and supernatural technology.
Made from fire resistant material, these suits are able to convert the kinetic energy produced by a hit and redistribute it to the entire suit. They are almost impossible to damage. I said almost.
They have suction cups for climbing. A distress button for when you're in, well, distress. A compact pocket for your weapons. No matter how large or heavy it is, it will fit."
She went on and listed some other features of the suit.
" Don't worry, every one else will get it. These are just the prototypes so see them as your test subjects." Iris said to the other students.
" Wait!, Where's yours?" I asked and she chuckled. Then what looked like a black viscous oil started covering her skin until it formed her mission suit.
Her suit was black like ours but up close it looked like it was woven with golden threads. Then she changed back into her clothes.
" Wait, there's no way to recognise if we're shifters or elementists." Kirk stated.
" It's better that way so they don't know what to expect." Iris said then winked.
" Let's go."
We gathered around Iris and Seb and we held hands.
It felt like I was floating as we teleported. We got there almost immediately and my legs felt like jelly. We had to hold on to the tree trunks to steady ourselves.
" My ears are ringing." Rose said.
Iris and Seb chuckled saying something that sounded a lot like ' Newbies.'
The area was occupied by trees so tall that we couldn't see the top.
I glanced at Jenny and saw her gulp.
" For those of you that aren't magicians, can't fly or aren't air elementists, this is where the suction cups come in handy."
Iris said as she teleported herself to the top.

Iris's POV.
Eventually, everyone was at the top of a tree at reasonable distances from each other. I flew over to Jenny's tree and accidentally startled her. She would have been a Jenny pancake if I didn't hold her from falling.
" Oh!, Iris you startled me." She said trying to calm her breathing.
" Sorry. Here." I said handing her a silver necklace.
" Thanks?" She said unsurely putting it in her compact pocket.
" Wear it now. It's charmed, it will help you temporarily overcome your fear of heights."
" Okay." She put on the necklace and her demeanour relaxed almost immediately.
" Thanks."
I nodded in response. I turned to the other trees near us and saw Rose and Cole looking at us.
I flew back to my tree and sat.
" Bryan, check if they're close."
He used his incredible eye sight to scan the area. His animal was an eagle so he could see far distances very easily.
" They're coming."
" Everyone be still."
The dogs came through and I saw the eyes of my warriors widen in surprise and I smiled. The dogs weren't German Shepherds or Bull dogs or Rotts. They were Poodles and Chihuahuas. The dogs left and the troop came marching.
I jumped down and landed behind them.
" Hey!" I yelled and they turned. The troop leader came forward. She was likely in her mid twenties.
" Human?" She said.
" What did they ever do to you?" I asked and she smiled.
" Supernatural. Shifter I'm guessing."
" These people are innocent."
" You see honey, life isn't all rainbows and sunshine. There are some things you are to young to understand." She said giving me a pat on my head.
Did she just pat my head?
" But I'm old enough to know that you're attacking innocent people and lying to young magicians that you were defending your self."
" Shifters, always so talkative."
" Leave." I commanded.
" And if we don't?"
" Trust me, you don't want me to answer that question." I replied.
Seb teleported next to me smiling.
" Hey babe. Are they bothering you?"
" Nah!, We're just having a friendly chat."
" Babe?, Ahh. Sebastien Romero. Josh was right, you have joined the other side. Well you were never truly one of us." The troop leader said and I chuckled.
" And if this is your girlfriend, she must be Iris. The Elysian."
" The one and only!, In flesh and blood." I said grinning.
" The great leader is going to be so proud of me when I present you to him." She said smiling cruelly and I chuckled.
" You're gonna have to beat me first."
" That will be easy. You're outnumbered!, 2 against 51."
" Hmmm, you sure about that?" I whistled and the warriors jumped down and surrounded the troop.
" 26 against 51, still not a fair fight but we'll manage." Seb said smiling.
" Take out the rest." I instructed my fighters.
" But she's mine."
