Chapter Twelve
" During my second month of training with the elders, we met two magicians. Sebastien and Shirley.
*Flashback*
" Who are they?" I asked Elder Eamonn.
" I don't know. Let's go help them." He replied. We walked over to the strangers abandoning our training.
The girl was carrying, well basically dragging her brother and when she saw us she cowered in fear.
" Please don't hurt us. I beg you!"
" It's okay were not going to hurt you." I assured. I led the girl inside the castle while Elder Eamonn took her brother to Elder Moira, the resident healer.
" Is he going to be okay?" I asked Elder Moira as she walked out of the healer's room to get some supplies.
" He's severely injured but I have done my best. All he needs now is rest."
" Okay. She won't eat anything unless she knows he's okay." I said to Elder Moira and she nodded.
I told the girl what Elder Moira had said and she finally calmed down.
" What's your name?"
" Shirley. Shirley Romero. The guy I brought with me is my older brother, Sebastien."
Shirley looked young. Maybe about my age or a year younger. She had brown hair and cyan eyes.
" Well, I'm Iris. And don't worry about your brother. He's in safe hands."
" Thank you." She said hugging me.
" It's nothing. So let's get you something to eat."
After eating, she insisted on meeting the elders.
There were 6 elders in total. 3 of them were shifters while the other 3 were elementist.
Elder Moira, the resident healer was an all elementist.
Elder Eamonn was an all shifter.
Elder Nimah was a regular shifter. Her animal was a Manticore. She was the fiercest fighter amongst the elders.
Elder Horace was a part shifter and his animals were the Tiger, Falcon, Shark and Dragon.
Elder Yvonne was a elementist that controlled both water and fire. Two contrasting elements.
And finally, Elder Emlyn, the regular elementist. He was an Earth Elementist.
" Thank you." Shirley said bowing.
" You're welcome. What supernatural are you?" Elder Nimah asked.
" We're magicians." Shirley replied cautiously.
" But we are nothing like the others!, I promise you."
The other elders and I looked at Elder Nimah for confirmation. She had a way of telling who was evil and who was not. She nodded and I smiled.
" We believe you." Elder Nimah said and Shirley let out a breath of relief.
" You guys are really nice. Unlike what we were taught."
" What you were taught?" Elder Horace questioned.
" We were taught that other supernaturals. Especially the ones in our fraction were evil." Shirley said.
" What were you doing this far into the forest?" Elder Yvonne asked and Shirley sighed.
" We were banished."
" Banished?" I questioned and she nodded.
" While we were growing up, we were told that every supernatural was out to get us. That we had to fight against them because we were the good guys. But even as kids my brother and I knew something was wrong.
A month ago my brother went on a mission with other magicians to attack a supernatural camp. But they were attacked by a group of Griffins. The other magicians managed to run away but they abandoned my brother there.
He was outnumbered and badly injured but luckily, he was saved and nursed back to health by a group of shifters. When he returned, he spread the news about how he was saved by shifters. The ruling council heard about it and they locked him up.
They tortured him there and when I confronted them, we were banished. They led us out of the camp leaving us in the middle of nowhere with nothing. It was just me and my severely injured brother."
" I never thought magicians could be so cruel." Elder Horace said and I nodded.
" Elder Moira." An helper called entering the room.
" He is awake and he wishes to see his sister."
" Is he fit to stand up now?"
" Yes ma'am." The helper replied.
" Then let him come."
The helper left for a few minutes then came back with a guy.
And he was hot!
He had brown hair just like Shirley but instead of cyan eyes, he had light grey ones.
He bowed then spoke.
" Hello, I am Sebastien Romero."
" Hello Sebastien, we are the Elders."
" Yeah, I kind of figured. Thank you so much for helping my sister and I. We will forever be in your depth." He said in his smooth velvety voice.
Swoon!
***
Sebastien's POV.
I woke up in a strange room and sat up.
Where am I?
Then it came flooding back to me, the castle, the healer. Everything!
Shirley and I had found the Elder's castle!
And I was in it.
The door opened and someone walked in.
He asked me a few questions about how I was feeling and I replied them accordingly.
" Is it possible for me to see my sister?" I asked.
" I'll have to check with Elder Moira." He replied and I sighed.
" Okay, I'll wait."
He came back later and helped me up then he led me to a room where I saw my sister and the elders seated. I bowed in respect before speaking.
" Hello, I am Sebastien Romero."
" Hello Sebastien, we are the Elders."
" Yeah, I kind of figured. Thank you so much for helping my sister and I. We will forever be in your debt."
" You are welcome." One of the elders said.
" You couldn't have come at a better time!, The Elysian is in dire need of someone to teach her magic."
Elysian?!
" The Elysian has been found?!, And she's here?!" Shirley exclaimed in shock.
" She's sitting right next to you." The Elder that healed me replied.
I turned to see the figure that had been sitting next to Shirley that I hadn't noticed when I entered the room.
She was beautiful!
She had long blonde hair and beautiful lilac eyes and tanned skin. I had never seen someone with lilac eyes before.
" Hey!, I'm Iris." She said waving akwardly.
" Not what you were expecting right?, You were expecting someone more glamorous and not a teenager in a tank top and leggings."
" Well, we'll leave you two to rest. Iris, we have to get back to training." Another one of the elders said then he walked out of the room with Iris in tow.
