Chapter Interview.
So I got interviewed by a friend of mine who so happens to be one of my readers. Here's how it went.
***
Interviewer: Hello That_cheekygirl, we're so glad to have you here.
It's a great honour to be here.
Interviewer: So, could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Well I'm a short female with an overactive imagination and I was born on the 16th of December.
Interviewer: Anything else?
Not at all.
Interviewer:(rolls eyes): When did you start writing?
I began writing when I was 11.
Interviewer: Whoa!, That seems like such a long time ago.
Hmm…not really.
Interviewer: Mind tell us your age?
Yes, yes I do mind.
Interviewer: So, what was your first book?
The Ace. Although it was originally called my life as a teenage superhero.
Interviewer: So you have 4 books here on FindNovel.net, 2 completed while the others are still a work in progress.
Yes.
Interviewer: Which is your favourite?
Honestly, I love them all because each book is unique it it's own right.
Interviewer: You don't have favourite books but do you have favourite characters?
Of course I do. Kimia, Damien and Jason are my favourite Havana characters. Iris and Aria are for Supernaturals, Jade and Zayn for What the heart wants. For Ace, well I'm not going to say anything about that yet.
Interviewer:Why those specific characters?
Kimia is who I am, partly. She's loyal, kind, intelligent, cunning and funny. She's a fighter, tough but sensitive. Damien is who I aspire to be. Calm, patient with a whole lot of self-control. Jason cause, who doesn't love him?! He's a loyal best friend but that didn't stop him from doing what was right.
I love Iris because I think she represents every young adult out there. We are strong, smart and capable of extraordinary things. But we have a lot to deal with, a lot of pressure and challenges and I guess we could all relate to her. Ara…she was a last minute character but she turned out to be one of my favourites. She was showed sympathy even when it wasn't deserved. She was strong even while being bullied.
I just love Zayn's chill attitude and Jade's spirit.
Interviewer: Well that was a long ass answer. Moving on, on a scale of 1-10 rate your writing.
Uhhh…a 5 or dare I say 6.
Interviewer: Why?
I guess I'm not satisfied with my writing.
Interviewer: How do you make your major decisions? In your books I mean. How do your characters make their decisions?
I try putting myself in their position but sometimes the character makes the decision in my head.
Interviewer: Is this the only platform where your books are published?
No. But I'll say this is the best. My books didn't really thrive on other platforms like it did here. I got my first ever comment and review on FindNovel.net. It's a writer friendly environment.
Interviewer: Which scenes were the easiest and which scenes were heart wrenching.
For Havana, El Salvador was the easiest while the breakup scene where Kimia found out the truth was the hardest. For Supernaturals, the battle with the Saevus was the easiest to write while the war was the hardest.
Interviewer: How do you get over writer's block
I read, watch movies and listen to music.
Interviewer: You love reading comments right?
I absolutely adore it. My top commenters are @Canansevim161, @Aadya19, @ThismeLol, @ Neelima19, @Denial07, @ Nidprabhu, @ Feathermartinezplug. Thank you guys so much. And a special thanks to yjhere and PrettyGurlAmera231 for their reviews. And to all my silent readers, thank you.
Interviewer: And don't forget me.
Of course. Thank you so much.
Interviewer: You're welcome. Do you offer writing tips?
I should be offered writing tips 😅. If you need help, you can message me but I can't exactly guarantee that I'll be useful.
Interviewer: Name one bad habit you have when it comes to writing.
Easy. I get too excited with story ideas and end up working on multiple stories at once.
Interviewer: That's all I have here. Once again, it was nice having you.
Thank you for the interview.
