Supernaturals: Legends of Iris.

Chapter Four

Iris's POV

" I'm sorry about how I acted in there. I'm usually don't freak out like that. It's not everyday you get to meet two of the greatest supernaturals ever." Rose said and looking down at me.

I wasn't short, I'm about 5'7. But she was really tall.

" So you're a royal?" She asked and I raised my eyebrows.

" A what?"

" Okay how much do you know about supernaturals?"

" I know about the mist, I know the fractions and I know that our fraction is at war with the magicians."

" Okay that's fine. Now where do I start from?"

" Anywhere is fine by me."

" So there are three types of shifters, the regular shifters, part shifters and the all shifters. And the same goes for the elementist.

Regular shifters can only shift into one animal and regular elementist only control one element. Part shifters and elementist can shift or control more than one while. All shifters and elementist can shift or control all.

" Wait, so all shifters can shift into any kind of animal?"

" Yeah, well as long as they can picture what the animal looks like in their head." She explained and I nodded.

" I have a question?"

" Ask away!"

" If werewolves are shifters, why are they also under another fraction?"

" I have never thought of that, thus changes everything!" Rose exclaimed and I laughed.

" Okay so each type of shifter and elementist have their own school. Crest Hill High is a school for regular shifters and elementist. If one of the students happens to be otherwise, they're transferred to the appropriate school." Rose continued leading me down the hallway and stopping in front of an arc.

The arc displayed banner of different colours some carrying symbols on them.

" There are four floors for the shifters, Royal, Aerial, Aquatic and Mythical and each floor is represented by a colour.

The royal floor is represented by the colour red. And it basically the floor for terrestrial animals.

Aerial is represented by silver and it's the floor for all animals that can fly.

Aquatic is represented by light blue and it's the floor for all aquatic animals.

And finally, the mythical floor is represented by violet and it's the floor for all mythical creatures." She explained pointing to their corresponding banners

I was about to ask a question when Rose spoke answering the question I was about to ask.

" It is possible for an animal to fall within more than one floor, but we classify them based on where they spend most of their lives in, where they perform best and how old they are."

It was like she read my mind.

" The elementist have four floors too, Fire, Water, Earth and Air. Each also represented by a colour and a symbol.

The fire floor is represented by an orangish- red with a flame as their symbol.

The air floor is represented by a stormy grey with a tornado as their symbol.

The water floor is represented by navy blue with ocean waves as their symbol.

The earth floor is represented by bright green with a vines wrapped around a rock as their symbol."

She took me to the dining hall, the gym, the arena, the training area and finally the rec centre. The rec centre was a huge section of the school and made me wonder how big the school really was. It had a mini cinema, a gaming section and a clothing mall.

A clothing mall!

Rose pulled me towards on of the stores and that was filled with school merchandise. She said some things to the store attendant before pulling my towards the female section, and then my size's sector.

" Okay so even though we have a pretty loose dress code here, every day has an unofficial dress code. So you get to pick two items for each day since we're allowed to bring regular clothes. Okay so first, you'll have to pick training clothes."

She pointed to a stack of light blue t-shirts and black shorts, leggings, joggers and yoga pants.

I picked two t-shirts, a pair of shorts and joggers and put them into the shopping basket Rose was holding.

" Okay so now, the official uniform which we wear on Mondays and during special occasions." She said pointing to the clothe rack next to me.

The uniforms were light blue and black so I picked a black blazer, two shirts (one long sleeved and the other short sleeved), a black pleated high waist skirt and black slacks alongside a regular tie and a butterfly bowtie.

" Great, so Tuesdays and Thursdays are casual days."

I picked two jean skirts and pants, a cute top, an hoodie and two plain t-shirts.

" Wednesday is a really special day. It's crazy colour day!, You basically wear the wackiest colours and the craziest and most stylish outfits get featured in the school's newspaper." Rose exclaimed excitedly.

I smiled at her and turned towards the clothe rack. I picked the first colours to catch my eyes which happened to be a bright green shirt, a fuchsia pink organza jacket that also came with a red camisole, royal blue pleated slacks and violet and orange tie and dye skirt.

" These are bold choices." Rose stated looking at my crazy colour day clothes.

" Alright, for Fridays we wear formal or semi formal."

I picked a teal green blazer with matching pants and a lacy top but I couldn't decide what my other outfit would be so I ask Rose.

" You want my opinion?!"

" Yeah, why not?" I shrugged.

" You seem to have it all covered!, I mean all your outfits have been amazing!"

" Would you please help me with this last outfit?"

" Sure!" She exclaimed disappearing into the numerous clothe racks.

" Here, try it on." She said thrusting a lilac dress into my hand and pushing me towards the changing room.

The dress was lacy and it hugged my body so well. It was beautiful but, it was lilac. And it made my eyes more prominent.

I looked at the dress in the full length mirror and Rose came to stand next to me. She noticed me staring at my eyes through the mirror and she spoke.

" You have beautiful eyes."

" They're not beautiful, they're weird."

" They're not weird, they're unique. They make you stand out from everyone else." She said squeezing my shoulder lightly and I smiled.

I changed back into my clothes and Rose went to check out the clothes.

She handed me a card and some of the bags.

" This is your student card. You use it to pay for stuff. Although your first purchase in every store as a new student is free. It doesn't use real money, instead it uses tickets. Tickets can be gotten by converting real money or they can be earned.

You earn tickets by getting good grades, perfect attendance, doing well in training, winning contest amongst others."

" Cool."

" Come on let's get these to the dorms."

The dorms were huge like the rest of the school and I'm sure I'll probably get lost if I ever walk through here alone.

We stopped at a door that read 'R290' and Rosa got her keys to unlock the doors.

" Welcome to our dormitory!"

The door opened to a common room that had a sofa, a mini fridge at the side, a book shelf and some posters on the wall. There was a door which I'm guessing led to the rooms.

Rose opened the door and there was a small hallway that gave way to two other doors. She opened the door to the room I'm guessing is mine and set the bags down.

The room was really spacious. It had red and gold walls which looked creepy to me.

" Weird right?, Each room is a colour of your floor and gold."

There was an already laid bed sitting in the middle of the room, a desk at the corner, a small book shelf and a beanbag chair.

" It's been a while since I had a room mate, all my other room mates end up getting transferred to another floor or school. Which now that I think of it, is really weird." She mused and I laughed.

" What's your animal?" I asked and she smiled.

" A lioness." She replied smirking and I grinned.

" Nice."

Ding!

I took my phone out of my pocket and saw a text from my dad telling me to meet them by the car.

" We should get going."

" Okay."

As we walked, Rose told me about the rules and some other things I needed to know. My entire family was waiting by the car and it finally hit that I was leaving my family for the first time in my life.

" My little girl's all grown up!" Dad said with teary eyes.

" I'll always be your little girl daddy." I said hugging him tightly.

" Honey!" My mum exclaimed hugging me tightly.

" Mum!, You're embarrassing me!" I cried and she laughed with teary eyes.

" We love you. If you need anything, if you're not comfortable here and we'll be here in the blink of an eye."

" Mum I'll be fine!"

" Okay." She said hugging me once again.

" You don't have to stay Iris, you don't have to-"

" Austin!, I have to do this."

" But you're my best friend how am I supposed to live you there?!"

" You'll be fine. I know that for sure."

" Iris what if you don't fit in?!"

" I don't fit in at regular school either!, Things can be different here."

" I understand. I'm going to miss you." He said wiping his face.

" Austin are you crying?!" I laughed tears rolling down my cheeks.

" No!, I have something stuck in my eye." He replied defensively.

" I love you little bro."

" I love you too big sis."

I watched the car until I couldn't see it again and sighed.

" You're gonna be fine." Rose whispered and I smiled.

" Let's get these to the dorm." She said helping me with my carry on while I pulled my box.
