Chapter 231
"Silver Fox never talked about me like that! He'd only say, be good, and from now on, I'll take care of you!" Stephanie said.
How touched she was at the time when she heard those words.
But later on, when Angela told her that Silver Fox had someone he liked, her emotions were so complicated.
"Oh my God! You know, people who flaunt their love don't last long! Steph, I haven't even met Silver Fox yet! Is he really showing up later? I just want to see how handsome he really is when Gillian says he's got the looks." Maddie said. Gillian slapped her chest, promising, "I guarantee that when you see Silver Fox later, your eyes won't be able to move away!"
"You think I've never seen a handsome guy before? Will I really be that taken aback? At most, I'd just give him a couple extra glances." Maddie said.
"You better be like that!" Gillian said.
"Whoever can't do it is a mad cow!" Maddie said.
"Steph, bear witness! If Maddie can't, we'll call her a mad cow from now on!" Gillian said.
"Stop kidding." Maddie raised her chin confidently, "If I don't give him extra glances, what are you going to do, Gillian?"
"Whatever you say!" Gillian said.
"Deal! If I can pull it off, you'll have to arrange a date with Putnam for me!" Maddie said.
"Wow, Maddie, you're really pushing it! You won't even take the initiative, so how can I possibly get him out? I'm not even close to him!" Gillian said.
"Well, if we're going to play, we might as well go for something challenging, otherwise it's no fun!" Maddie said.
Gillian rolled her eyes exasperatedly, "Fine, I'll do it. Not that you'll ever succeed anyway."
Stephanie couldn't help but laugh, "You two are too much!"
"Steph, be our witness!" Gillian said.
"Steph, you better call Silver Fox and tell him to dress up before he comes out!" Maddie said.
Stephanie continued to laugh, "To be honest. No exaggeration, Silver Fox is handsome even in his pajamas."
"You're just thinking that because you're in love. Oh my God! Steph, is your fiancé the guy in front of us?" Maddie asked.
As soon as the words left her mouth, the three of them immediately looked in the direction Maddie was looking.
A good-looking stranger was walking towards them, holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
The handsome guy looked about twenty-three or four, tall and well-built, dressed in a suit, and wearing an expensive watch on his wrist. Before Stephanie and Gillian could say anything, Maddie scoffed directly, "This face isn't even worth my time. Gillian, get ready to lose!" Gillian didn't even want to burst her bubble.
This handsome guy couldn't even compare to one-tenth of Sebastian.
The guy approached them, holding the bouquet, and asked, "Which one of you is Ms. Bishop?"
Stephanie raised her eyebrow, "That's me, who are you?"
"Hello Ms. Bishop, I'm Cooper. My father heard about Mrs. Bishop having surgery today, so he asked me to come here and wait for her fo come out of the operating room safely and let him know. I know you have some issues with the Klein family, but my father's orders can't be disobeyed. Please understand." Stephanie replied indifferently, "This hospital isn't mine, so you can stay if you want. But this spot has already been taken, so if you want to wait, go stand over there!"
Mrs. Klein never showed up and apologized on her knees, however, she didn't mind that much.
But she was a bit curious about what Morton and Sebastian talked about that night, which made Sebastian change his mind. Stephanie never asked Sebastian, though.
Cooper nodded with a smile, unlike the Klein family's daughter, he didn't have any intention of befriending Stephanie.
He didn't have much curiosity about this newfound half-sister either.
After greeting her, he went off to the
side with the bouquet in hand, patiently waiting and occasionally glancing at the surgery room door to check the time.
There was no sign of impatience on his face.
Gillian and Maddie, full of curiosity, asked, "Steph, who is this guy?"
"The eldest son of the Klein family, Cooper." Stephanie answered.
