Spellbound

3 DAYS LATER.......BY THE RIVER.

“Nat can I ask how you saved me from being burned alive?” said Penelope sitting next to Nat who was trying to catch some fish for dinner.

“Well its like this....Azadarin told me to hide so I made myself invisible and walked as quietly as I could until I was behind, Daria and Mr Morkas, then I changed into a bat and flew up into a pine tree and waited for the sign from Azadarin to get you away from that horrid fire” said Nathaniel taking up some slack on his fishing line while talking.

“But how did you do it...what did you do?” asked Penelope pressing Nat for a better answer to her question.

“When the lightening bolt hit the earth next to Mr Morkas and he fell over I turned him invisible then changed into him so as to fool Daria into thinking her son was still there....clever huh?”

“Yes very and extremely dangerous, you could have been toast like me as well if that had gone pear shaped” said Penelope moving in closer to Nathaniel as he continued fishing and concentrating on the water for movement.

“Yes maybe you are right there Pen, but Azadarin said it would work if I followed his instructions so I did...but all I really wanted to do was save you and make sure you were ok” said Nathaniel just as a fish started to bite on his bait.

Penelope reached around with both of her hands and took hold of Nathaniels head and turned it towards her. Then she leaned in close and looked into his eyes and kissed him on his lips.

Nat let go of the fishing rod.

It sped off into the river and out of sight.

We have feelings that are not visible, we do things to prevent ourselves from being miserable. Being honest is what makes us believable, for our feelings may not always be reachable. Right at that very moment when both their lips touched a very special bond was formed between two young people that was new and exciting and sooooo much better than fishing.

The friendship they shared just moved up a few notches and when they moved apart and looked into each others eyes, they could see forever and they both became quite playful with each other. Tickling and giggling and poking fun as well. Penelope was about to move in for another kiss and she closed her eyes and could feel Nathaniels breath on her face....she opened her eyes and there sitting in front of her was a male furry talking bat. The bat kissed her quickly on the lips and said....

“You’re it!!” and he flew into the pine trees.

Penelope changed into a bat and took flight as well following Nathaniel in hot pursuit.

Everything in life is transitory, it’s just that somethings last longer than others. Every emotion is fleeting, every thought gives way to a new one. It isn’t a reason to despair, but one to rejoice. If you were to make a necklace of beads you’d choose the prettiest for your string, and such is life also. Make your moments happy so that they come together to form something wonderful and unique that is your time under the sun.

Make it something that leaves you Spellbound you wont regret it !

Authors note: And just so you know.....Azadarin and Daria became the best of friends all over again and from what Nibbles tells me....they to have fallen back in love, but that is news from a furry talking Fembat so I’m not sure if I believe that news or not.
