She apologized…but sometimes, that isn’t enough. Althea and Roman are at the infirmary. She’s been in labor nearly 5 hours and getting cranky. Roman leans over her and says “you want some ice chips, baby?” She said “No, I want to sleep. Do you think they will knock me out and wake me when it’s over?” He laughed and said No. Dee walked in and said..it’s nearly time to push. It will go fast then. Althea was able to doze a little bit but the contractions were so much stronger and she asked Roman to get Dee. Dee checked her and said next contraction and so it went for three more hours. And then they were parents! They had Alexander, Andrew, and Amber. Roman was over the moon. The boys both weighed 7 pounds even and Amber weighed 6 pounds. She already has her daddy wrapped around her finger. The babies have been home for three days and Roman and Althea brought them to lunch. They were enjoying eating and catching up with their friends. All of a sudden, a woman screeched “what is happening?” And Roman jumped up looking for trouble. When you live long enough with threats it is habit to jump to defend. At the screech. Dee looked over and saw all seven babies in the nursery were floating in bubbles. She noticed Liam in a bubble,too. She said “well, that’s cute. Which one is doing it?” Althea said “I’m not sure. I think it’s Andrew. He is my quiet one and seems a little more advanced. I know not to disturb the bubble so they don’t learn magic is bad. But 2 in the morning, it’s hard not to.” Aunt Dee laughed and said “it gets better “ and she laughed and said “promise?” Roman came in and said “shall we take them back upstairs and Althea nodded. They got them settled and he said “they’re going to be handfuls “ and she laughed and said “I hope not boulders thrown through houses handfuls” and Roman cracked up and said “Goddess only knows”
