Spellbound Mate

Althea had just stepped into the bedroom from the shower and sat down to blow dry her hair, just as Deidre and Cathy walked through the door with Martha..carrying a tray of champagne filled glasses. All three looked so beautiful in their cream colored dresses with embroidered gold roses on the bodice and around the hem. They were doing Althea’s hair and decided on a french braid down her left side so her mark was visible.. Dee pinned rhinestones in the braid to give it sparkle. Cathy started on her makeup and Althea felt a little overly warm and stood to open the french doors to the balcony…taking deep breaths of the cool evening air.. she looked over at her aunt and said “ I’m feeling weird” just as she fainted. Dee rushed over to her, checking her pulse..and looking at her face..and watching her..sees a glow start at the top of her head and move down her face to her shoulders and dissipate…Althea sat up and said “what the fuck was that??” And Dee says “Your Alpha Mantle”… After the commotion settled down, Cathy finished her makeup and Althea slipped on her ruby red dress with gold threads running down the entire thing. Spaghetti straps, fitted bodice and flared to the floor. She slipped on gold sandals and said “ I’m as ready as I’m going to get” and moved to the door. She swung the door opened and there was Neil. He leaned over and kissed her cheek and said she looked stunning.. She took his arm and they followed the three women down the stairs. Her music started playing and Martha started up the aisle.

I stand here at the altar.. Caleb, Dillon, and Brent to my left.. looking out over our pack. I open my link to speak to them “I am beyond humbled to stand before you today. I am so proud of you all. You have stayed by my side when I was at my worst. When I was arrogant…foolish and immature. You showed me patience and tolerance when I deserved none. I am honored to share the most important day of my life with all of you” A cheer went up among the crowd and a collective voice rung out “We love you, Alpha” and I felt my heart swell. Music started in the background and I looked down the aisle.. Martha stepped out first followed by Cathy.. and finally Dee… I waited with bated breath and the music changed and Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” began to play. And then I saw her. A vision in red. A smile to make the Goddess weep and she started to walk towards me on Neil’s arm. I couldn’t look away.. she had me mesmerized and I was finding it hard to breathe. I never thought I would ever love someone this much…this all encompassing feeling of such homest emotion I felt my eyes tear up. She reaches me and Neil places her tiny hand in mine and kisses her cheek..taking his seat in the first row. Althea looks over and squeals..she jumps and hugs Ben and says “Hi Uncle Ben..” and I raised an eyebrow at him in question. He links “we’ve met”… A man of few words! He starts the ceremony and she’s practically vibrating off the stage. Her smile never leaves her face.. not for a second..not even when a tear rolls down her beautiful face. She tepeats all the words like Ben asked and as soon as our hands are sliced and clasped she lets out the squeal she was holding onto so desperately and throws her arms around my neck and kisses me. I throw my head back and release a howl and the pack follows suit! I yell “Let’s RUN!” And we all strip and shift. Althea and I lead the pack on the path to the river with Caleb and Dillon flanking… I mindlnk Caleb and told him to take the pack home and let the party begin. I nudge Auburn to veer to the left and I lead her to a meadow with a small stream running through it. She walks over and takes a sip of water. I linked “you are a good foot taller baby” she linked back “ MmHmm my mantle settled “ She said I am backing away for this part. I laughed. And Auburn dropped to her front paws wiggling her butt and takes off..wanting us to chase her. Who am I to deny my lady? So I sprint after her. I tackle her to the ground and lick her muzzle. She spins and waves her ass in my face and Ambrose takes charge. He slams her body down, holding her still with his front paws and mounts her roughly.. she yelps and snaps at him..letting him know “not cool!” He pumps in and out of her slowly at first then building speed..as he gets faster,..his knot starts to swell..just before it reaches full size he forces it inside her and bites down on her neck..he is locked in and still pumping..as she turns just enough and latches onto his neck throwing him into a frenzied climax that sends her over the edge and they each remove their teeth at the same time, licking to heal their marks and a burning feeling rushes through us and Ambrose lets out a huge roaring growl that shook the ground. As the knot reduces and he releases her he stands. He shakes out his fur and walks to the stream to drink. He looks at his reflection and sees flames dancing in his own eyes.. he turns his massive head and looks at Auburn and realizes he now stands two heads taller than her…instead of the same height..like they were before the run. Auburn links Ambrose “ My handsome mate…you are magnificent! My fire won’t ever burn you now. Your strength will be unmatched. Together.. we will be unstoppable! I love you!” We ran back to enjoy their party! They stop and get dressed and I grab her and kiss her. We walk into the party and I hear “For the very first time, I present to the Sioux River Pack our Alpha and Alpha Luna..Roman and Althea Barronne!” I walk her to the dance floor.. I take two glasses of Champagne and hand her one.. I raise my glass and look into her eyes and say “I don’t know what I have done in my life that granted me a treasure such as you. I loved you yesterday, I love you more today. I will love you..every day and I will love you louder on the days you need me to.” We raised our glasses and drank… then I whispered “thank you for not giving up on me”
