Soul Searcher Book 1

Chapter CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

Cassie looks so tired that after we arrive in her apartment, I take her straight to her bedroom and gently place her upon her bed. Thinking she will fall asleep immediately once I’ve placed her head against her pillows, I turn to leave so that she can rest peacefully but to my surprise I feel her hand latch onto my wrist, stopping me from leaving. As I gaze at her I see a renewed energy spring to life within her. The light radiating from off her is nearly blinding as it engulfs her body, enhancing her beauty tenfold. How did I not know she really was an angel; I think to myself as I stare, hypnotized by her.

A hunger takes over, possessing her eyes as she looks deep into mine, into my very soul! Cassie pulls me down to her and then slides her hands around my waist, up my back before weaving her fingers through my hair causing a bestial growl to fall from my lips. “Too much clothing,” she whispers against my ear and then she tugs at my shirt. I sit back slightly on my knees and stretch both my arms behind my head, taking my shirt in my hands pulling it up and over my head, stripping it from my body and tossing it to the floor.

Turning my attention back to her, I watch Cassie raise her arms above her head wanting me to remove her shirt for her which I oblige, removing it in one swift fluid motion, letting it fall to the ground next to mine. Piece by piece each article of clothing is discarded between the two of us until we are completely naked. Hands and tongues, lips and flesh, nothing is left unexplored between our bodies. Something uniquely different occurs though when our bodies connect this time. It’s as though we have an outer body experience as we witness the merging of our souls, not just the physical aspect of our bodies becoming one, but that our souls truly binding, uniting.

We do eventually fall asleep but not until we are both sated and fully spent. It is close to the witching hour when we finally begin to stir from our slumber. There’s nothing I love more than waking with her snuggled against my chest, feeling her lips and nose nuzzling against my neck causing me to moan. “You’re driving me crazy,” I say as I place my hand over the back over hers and entwine our fingers in a backwards grasp. Even though I can’t see her face because the back side of her body is pressed up against my chest, I know she is smiling at me.

“As much as I would like to continue doing what we were doing before we fell asleep, I’d much rather you tell me about yourself, how you as an angel were on earth and how you ended up with amnesia...” I lean over her and kiss the side of her face.

“Okay,” Cassie says as she rolls over in my arms so she can look at me. “But let’s chat and make some food at the same time. I’m starving!” I laugh because as she says this her stomach grumbles in agreement.

Walking into her kitchen Cassie flipped a switch turning the light on above us. We rummage through her fridge and cupboards finding items that will result in some amazing sandwiches. Since she doesn’t have a table to use, we go in and get comfortable on her couch and after Cassie takes a bite of her sandwich, she begins to share her memories with me. “My name is not Cassandra but rather Cassiel and I am a warrior in the Masshit, the army that God had Archangel Michael assemble...
