Chapter 1217
Chapter 1217 Continuing Pretense
After one of the four Great Sect Leaders had met his demise, the remaining three were all defeated by Alex, even when they joined forces against him. The news swiftly reached Hadriel of the Raven Sect. All three sect leaders have been defeated? How could Alex possibly be that powerful? Hadriel's face was filled with. disbelief.
He fell into contemplation as that unexpected turn of events occurred in what was considered a sure thing. With one sect leader dead and two injured, even if he were to challenge Alex, he would have no way to deal with his might. Were they really going to let that lad step on the head of the secret forces?
"What should we do now, Master Snyder? Alex is clamoring to see you. It seems he won't rest until he drives the secret forces out of the real world," said a disciple of the Raven Sect.
Hadriel also wore a worried expression. Alex's strength was truly beyond comprehension, and he was simply not someone that Hadriel could handle directly. It seemed that a head-on confrontation wouldn't work, so he needed to find another solution.
"How about we invite Mr. Bach? B....im. I'm afraid no one else can deal with that lad," suggested one
of the disciples of the Raven Sect, after they saw
adriel struggling to make a decision.
After some thought, Hadriel realized he had no other options. The most reliable solution was to request Damon Bach to come out of seclusion and ask for his assistance in dealing with Alex..
It was evident that Damon couldn't be called upon right away. They had to allocate some time to send someone to invite him from the secret realm of the secret world.
"Take this seal and find Mr. Bach," said Hadriel, reaching into his clothes and handing a black seal to the disciple. "Make sure he comes out of seclusion to help the secret forces through this crisis." The disciple nodded affirmatively before settling into the car and setting off on their mission.
Shortly after the disciple's departure, the entrance to the Raven Sect swung open once more. This time, it was Alex and Wanda who stepped inside.
As the two individuals pushed open the door, no one dared to obstruct them wherever they went. Many of
the disciples displayed peculiar expressions upon seeing Wanda.
"Where is Hadriel? Come out and meet your doom!" Alex bellowed loudly in the courtyard of the Raven Sect. His tone was domineering and full of authority.
A commotion ensued, and many disciples of the Raven Sect gathered to watch. Despite Alex's disrespectful and provocative words toward the Raven Sect, not a single person dared to lay a hand on
him.
After all, Alex had single-handedly challenged and defeated three sect leaders, and that news had spread to almost everyone in the secret world.
"I am Hadriel. Do you have any business with me?" Hadriel stepped out of the crowd, his voice calm and composed.
As Hadriel emerged, Wanda's beautiful eyes slightly furrowed, revealing an overwhelming resentment toward the person before her. Her delicate fists clenched tightly in anger.
Hadriel also noticed a flash of surprise in Wanda's eyes and immediately burst into laughter, saying
warmly, "Wanda, you're back! After Dad's death, I thought you had disappeared! I never expected you to return. I'm genuinely overjoyed from the bottom of my heart!"
As Hadriel spoke, his gaze shifted to Alex. Then, he turned to Wanda and asked, "Is he your boyfriend? I was wondering who would challenge the three sect leaders. So, it turns out to be the person my sister has chosen. Your taste is indeed excellent. Since he's your boyfriend, I won't pursue this matter with you."
Alex looked at Wanda beside him, recalling her previous claim that Hadriel had killed her entire family. However, it was now apparent that Hadriel was her brother.
Could it be that this woman had deceived me? Was her purpose to deceive me into coming to the Raven Sect, and then both of them would join forces to take me down?
Alex had then unraveled the motives behind Wanda getting close to him. He never expected things to take
such a turn.
"Who is your sister? I don't have a heartless and ruthless brother like you. If I hadn't managed to escape, I might have already fallen victim to your hands! I came here today to take your life!" Wanda said through gritted teeth.
Although the man in front of her was indeed her brother, they were only half-siblings, sharing the same. father but different mothers. Their blood ties meant little in the world of major sects where even full- blood siblings often couldn't stand united, let alone in their situation!
"Wanda, what nonsense are you spouting? When have I ever wanted to kill you? After all, you're my sister!" Hadriel replied, a look of alarm flashing past his face.
Wanda's expression turned cold, and she sneered, pointing at Hadriel. "Go ahead and keep pretending. Do you think no one can expose the wicked things you've done? Well, while everyone is here, I'm going to spill it all out!"
