Veronica couldn’t help but doubt her own cars. They had only ordered four cups of coffee and some pastries at the Blue

amount made her feel distressed. She had thought that paying. the bill would only cost a few hundred!
“What’s wrong, darling? I didn’t intend for you to pay. My wallet and phone are in the car right now. When. we go back to the car.
I’ll give you the money. Do you really not trust me?” Soren said.
Veronica clenched her teeth and bit her lower lip, unsure of what to say. She had bragged a lot to Soren before, claiming that her
family was in business and earned several hundred thousand a year. She also presented herself as a wealthy young lady, with
all her designer brands acquired through group buys at a low cost, all to create the image of a socialite. She aimed to find a
wealthy boyfriend and ascend the social ladder.
“Darling, do you really think I don’t have twenty-thousand on me? Or are you just lying to me?” Soren’s expression changed as
he asked.
Veronica’s face instantly turned ugly upon hearing his words. She felt embarrassed and didn’t know what to say. Then she
quickly changed her train of thought and said, “Of course, I can come up with twenty- thousand! It’s just that I forgot to bring that
card when I left, so I don’t have that much money with me now. What should we do? Darling, why don’t we go to where you
parked and get your phone?”
Soren cleared his throat and said, “If it were anywhere else, it would be fine. But this is the Blue Mountain Café! If we want to
come in again, we’ll have to trouble my friend to let us in. What if he’s too busy and can’t spare the time? It’ll be awkward.”

Jessica, seeing their reactions, knew that they couldn’t afford it. She sighed helplessly, stood up from her chair, and said, “Let me
pay.”

respectful.
“Oh, it’s Ms. Saffin, one of our most esteemed customers at Del Costa and our most prestigious VIP at Blue Mountain Café. You
can enjoy all our coffee and pastries for free as our VIP guest,” the waitress said with a smile.
Jessica thanked her and sat back down.
Veronica was bewildered. She didn’t understand what was happening. Why does everyone else have to pay for their coffee, but
Jessica is different? She is just a secretary. How did she become the most distinguished VIP customer at the Blue Mountain
Café?
Unable to contain her curiosity, Veronica stood up and asked the waitress, “Are you mistaken? How could Jessica be a VIP
customer here? She’s only here because of my boyfriend’s connection. She’s able to come to the Blue Mountain Café because
of him.”

The waitress looked at Veronica as if she were looking at a mentally challenged child and smiled as she replied, “Miss, you must
be joking. Ms. Saffin has purchased the most expensive villa at Del Costa worth twenty-five million. She is our most
distinguished homeowner and a VIP customer at Blue Mountain Café She doesn’t need to rely on anyone’s status to come here.
As long as Ms. Saffin comes, we will serve her twenty-four hours a day.”
