Alex’s patience had reached its limit. He raised his hand and delivered a forceful slap across the woman’s face. The power

“If you dare to speak like that again, I’ll make sure you can never speak again. As for your son, if you don’t discipline him, I can
do it for you,” Alex said coldly, his sharp gaze immediately turning to the young boy.
The little boy felt unnerved by Alex’s intense gaze and started to sob. He hid behind the woman, not daring to look at Alex again.
The woman knocked to the ground by Alex raised her head only to find that her teeth had been knocked out. That undoubtedly
infuriated her even more, and she screamed at Alex in a shrill voice. “Did I say something wrong? I’m just stating the facts. If you

“I’m so sorry, Ms. Sutton. It was my fault for being gossipy and speaking carelessly. I promise I won’t do it again. Please, can you
forgive me?” The woman, covering her swollen and disfigured face, apologized to Kate and Emmalyn.
“Mm!” Kate simply hummed in agreement, then turned her gaze to Alex. “Let’s go home. I don’t want to play anymore.”
It was clear from Kate’s words that she wasn’t in a good mood, which was understandable. After all, which woman would want to

“Don’t be sad anymore. I’ve already taught that woman a lesson for you,” Alex comforted.
Kate glanced at Alex and then quickly shifted her gaze away, feeling somewhat disheartened. “What they said is true! I did get
pregnant before marriage, and Emma is already over a year old...”
Suddenly, Kate laughed at herself and quickly changed the subject. “All right, enough about these sad things. What do you feel
like eating tonight? I’ll cook for you personally. I’ve learned a lot of cooking skills from Zack, so I’ll put them to use and let you
have a taste.”
