Chapter 1152

Chapter 1152 Catching The Thief
Seeing Edmund blocking her path, a trace of anger appeared on Alex’s face. She coldly looked at Edmund and asked, “So, what
do you want to say?”
“Hey, old classmate, I just wanted to have a chat with you. Why are you getting angry?” Edmund felt even more pleased seeing
Alex’s anger, thinking that Alex was feeling ashamed of the difference between them.
Edmund pulled up a chair and sat down, crossing his arms. He acted like a big boss, saying to Alex, “It must be tough delivering
food in such hot weather, right? Actually, it’s lucky that you bumped into me. Tech Dome is a big company, with billions in
investments. I may be just an ordinary clerk, but I’m much more capable than those supervisors in small companies. I’m saying
all this because I want to give you a chance. You should quit your food delivery job. As long as you serve me well, I can talk to
the manager and maybe get you a job as a security guard here!”
As he spoke, Edmund coughed deliberately and slammed his cup on the table, ordering Alex, “Get me a glass of water!”
Alex gave him a disdainful look as if he was observing a clown. He didn’t bother responding to Edmund’s words and planned to
turn and leave.
However, before he could take a few steps, he heard Edmund’s angry voice from behind.
“Alex, why the hell are you pretending? Heather dumped you, and now you’re delivering food. Yet you don’t know what’s best for
you. No wonder you’re a lifelong loser and a useless piece of crap.”

Listening to the insults from behind, Alex felt a sense of boredom and had no intention of stopping to argue with Edmund. He
really wanted to go to the human resource department and find out how this person ended up getting hired. How could they have
let such a person into the company?
Edmund saw that Alex continued to ignore him, and he couldn’t help but feel annoyed. He thought that Alex was disrespecting
him and couldn’t let it go so easily.
His eyes darted around, and he came up with an idea. He immediately shouted to the people in the company, “Someone, catch
the thief! This delivery person actually came to the company pretending to deliver food and stole something!”
Edmund’s shout attracted the attention of many people in the company, and all eyes turned to Alex.
The security guard who heard Edmund’s words directly stopped Alex. After all, stealing from the company was absolutely not
allowed.
“What’s wrong with delivery drivers these days? They have no integrity. They’re delivering food but also stealing things. Did they
die of poverty in their previous lives?” someone commented.
“Look at him wearing a duckbill cap and acting all sneaky. He’s clearly not a good person! Besides, he’s not even wearing the
uniform of a food delivery rider. Who knows if he deliberately came here to steal something?” another person chimed in.
“He’s in his twenties and is able-bodied, but he still resorts to stealing rather than earning an honest living. Being caught like this
is so embarrassing!” someone else added.
Hearing the discussions around him, Edmund wore a satisfied smile on his face. This method was indeed effective. Alex was
doing so poorly, yet dared to ignore him. Today, he wanted to see how Alex would defend himself!

Ideally, he hoped that Alex would be directly taken to the police station, where he would spend at least ten days in custody and
get a criminal record. Maybe after this, Alex wouldn’t even have a delivery job. Just thinking about it made Edmund feel
exhilarated.
Alex’s eyes grew colder. He didn’t expect Edmund to stoop so low as to use such a despicable method against him.
“Edmund, for the sake of us being classmates, I’ll give you a chance. Explain this matter to everyone honestly, and I won’t hold it
against you,” Alex said coldly.
