Son-In-Law Gets an Upgrade by Mr. Adeel

Chapter 1085

Chapter 1085 Scheme
That was something Horace bought from a street vendor a while ago. His business wasn’t thriving, constantly receiving nothing
but bad news. Horace had been too busy to use it, and it had just been sitting there. Finally, it was coming in handy for his son.
Wesley, though a bit slow, knew that if he didn’t take the initiative, his beautiful cousin would be snatched. by another man.
“Dad, wait for my good news. I’ll surely win Autumn over!” Wesley grasped the item in his hand, opened the door, and left the
room confidently.
Seeing his son finally acting like a man, Horace smiled. Then, as if he was reminded of something, he took out his phone and
dialed a number.
Once the call connected, Horace uttered. “Hello, how are things on your end? You’re my only old acquaintance in Nebula City, so
you must help me handle this matter and ensure everything goes smoothly.”
“Don’t worry about that, Horace. Regarding the photo of that guy you sent me, I’ve already instructed my man to investigate
further. His name is Alex Jefferson, right? He was just the Jennings family’s live-in son- in-law and a good-for-nothing who lived
off of a woman. It’s easy peasy to deal with someone like him!” the man on the other end of the line responded confidently.
A disdainful expression contorted Horace’s face after he hung up the phone. It turns out that guy was just a live-in son-in-law and
a good-for-nothing who lived off a woman. Stefan made such poor judgment! I’ll wait for Wesley to seal the deal with Autumn
tonight, then I’ll claim she seduced my son. If Stefan still refuses to agree to let Autumn marry Wesley, I’ll announce this incident
to the public, making Autumn ineligible for marriage!

At that thought, Horace felt elated. He hummed happily while returning to his bedroom to sleep, waiting for the good news from
his son the next day.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A series of urgent knocks on the door roused Autumn from her sleep. Annoyed, she opened her eyes and yelled in the direction
of the door, “What’s the matter? Can’t it wait until morning?”
She then settled back into bed, but just as she covered herself with the quilt, the knocking sounded again, rendering her deeply
irritated by the noise.
Exasperated, Autumn put on her slippers and went to see who was the infuriating person who kept knocking on her door, ready
to give that person a piece of her mind.
When she opened the door and saw Wesley standing outside, Autumn was already simmering with rage, having been angered
by the man’s behavior earlier that day. Now that he was knocking on her door in the middle of the night, naturally, Autumn
couldn’t keep her calm.
Words of reprimand formed on her lips, however, before she could speak, Wesley sprayed something at her face.
Autumn instinctively tilted her head, but it was too late. Her face was already sprayed with some strange liquid, which emitted an
odd smell.
“What did you just spray my face with- Before she could finish her sentence, Autumn felt her head spinning. Her body swayed,
and her consciousness gradually blurred.

Seeing that, Wesley curled the corner of his lips into a smirk. It seems like Dad wasn’t lying to me. This thing really works
wonders.
At that moment, Autumn was wobbling and unable to muster any strength. Wesley flashed a smirk and pulled her into his
embrace.
With her soft body pressed against his, and the faint fragrance wafting from her, the stimulations to his senses stirred the flame
of lust within Wesley.
Autumn subconsciously felt Wesley was holding her. She tried to scream but couldn’t make a sound, as if a ball of wool was
lodged in her throat.
Her vision turned unfocused. Ultimately, she succumbed to the medication’s potent effect and passed out.
