After ending the call with Garett, Alex rushed over to the Greaves residence. He wanted to find out whether what he speculated
was actually happening and that the people from the secret world were emerging.
Before Alex could get out of the car, he saw a group of people making a din outside the Greaves residence. What are they
doing?
“You old geezer, get lost! This is no longer your home. Ordinary people like you shouldn’t be staying in huge places like this. This
is such a waste!” shouted a young man as he gave Garett a kick without considering the fact that Garett was an elderly man.
Another young fellow joined him. He snatched Garett’s phone from his hand and mocked him, “Old man, who did you call just
now? Do you genuinely think that someone will come and stand up for you? Dream on! Now, not only will we hit you, but we will
also beat up whoever comes to your rescue!”
With that said, the young man smashed Garett’s phone on the ground and started punching and kicking the elderly man. As far
as that group of men was concerned, they did not believe in respecting the old or weak. All they wanted was submission.
Beating Garett to death was like beating a stray animal to death. They would not be held responsible for their actions.
When Alex witnessed the scene, a wave of anger surged within him. Garett was already eighty of age. Even though he was
pretty healthy, there was no way he could withstand the beating from the group of young
men!
“Stop!” shouted Alex.

It was only then the young men stopped beating Garett. They turned around to see who the newcomer was. How dare this fellow
interfere in our business?
When they saw a young man in his twenties, disdainful expressions appeared on their faces. Even if there were more of him, the

Alex did not make a move when he heard the young man’s threat. Instead, he shot back, “Are you sure you want me to get down

Seeing how things were progressing, Garett felt incredibly guilty for involving Alex. He did not expect that group of people to be
so powerful.
No matter what, Alex was the savior of the Greaves family. Hence, Garett could not allow him to be humiliated. He was willing to
swallow his pride in order to save Alex.
