“Oh, well, look who’s here,” Giovanni, who had previously been allowed into the auction despite not having the invitation card
with him, commented in a condescending tone the moment Alex and Garett settled into their seats at the auction.
Alex chose to ignore Giovanni’s snide comment as he planned to ask Garett about his familial matters. He felt compelled to
reciprocate the kindness Garett had shown him. Moreover, Garett struck him as a good
man.
The fate of Garett’s life now rested on Alex’s ability to resolve the unsettling aura on his forehead within the next seven days.
Giovanni’s frustration grew as he realized that Alex had disregarded him. He withdrew his arm from his beautiful partner and
approached Alex with clear intent.
Just as Giovanni was about to shove Alex’s shoulder, Alex swiftly caught his hand in midair, fixing him with a cold stare.
“How dare you touch me with that dirty hand of yours? You lowly pauper! Do you know who I am? I’m Mr. Giorgio. You should be
honored that I’m even talking to you! Don’t be such an ungrateful wretch!” Giovanni raged, his anger fueling his words.
He was furious that he couldn’t break free from Alex’s vice-like grip, no matter how hard he struggled.
It was unfathomable to him that an ordinary man such as Alex possessed such strength.
“Sorry, I couldn’t care less about whether you talk to me or not!” Alex retorted. He forcefully pushed Giovanni aside, causing him
to stagger backward and crash into his seat.

Giovanni went livid. He felt ultimately humiliated by the way Alex had treated him.
“Darn you, brat, you’re dead!” Giovanni said through gritted teeth, his eyes full of hatred as he glared at Alex.
Garett decided to step in as things were getting out of hand. He stood up and smiled at Giovanni. “Mr. Giorgio, this young man
right here is my nephew, Please don’t take offense to any wrongdoings he has done you.”
Giovanni, who was fuming, looked up when he heard Garett speaking to him. His fury was immediately doused when he saw
that it was Garett.
“Mr. Greaves, never thought I’d see you here. What a coincidence!”
Giovanni paused as he glanced at Alex and asked, “Mr. Greaves, did you say he’s your nephew?”
Garett nodded with a smile in response to Giovanni’s question.
Giovanni’s hatred toward Alex dissipated when he saw that Garett had recognized him as his nephew.
Smiling as he came to terms with the revelation, he made his way over to Alex and apologized, “I didn’t know you were Mr.
Greaves’ nephew, buddy. I sincerely apologize for any offense caused earlier. Please don’t take it to heart. I’ll buy you a drink
when you’re free.”
Rather than harboring a grudge, Alex chose to let go of any resentment he had toward Giovanni. In fact, his impression of Garett
had improved.
He couldn’t help but wonder when the Greaves family had moved into Lumenopolis, for he had been staying at Nebula City all
this while and had paid little to no attention to the things happening in Lumenopolis.

Just then, a woman dressed in a red evening gown sauntered onto the auction stage. She had an alluring figure with curves in all
the right places. Every move she made exuded charm and grace, effortlessly balancing sensuality and sophistication and
capturing the perfect blend of these two qualities,
All eyes were fixed on her as she gracefully ascended the stage. Giovanni even removed his sunglasses, captivated by the
stunning woman standing before him.
Alex, being a man himself, couldn’t help but appreciate her beauty. However, his interest was purely appreciative, devoid of any
inappropriate intentions.
“Hello, esteemed guests! I’m Grace, your hostess for the day,” the lady in the red gown introduced herself with poise and
elegance, commanding the attention of the crowd. With her announcement, the auction officially began.
