Chapter Sold 76
Chapter 76
XANDER
I was taking a stroll outside when Lord Williams came to join me. I noticed that Maliya seemed shaken by the events that played out yesterday, and rather than the excitement I expected to see, all I saw was fear in her eyes.
Is there something else she would have wanted me to do? I saw the dirty glare she was giving Alpha Kane all through the party. There is no way she would actually feel sorry for him.
“Alpha, what do you intend to do with the Greenwood pack?” Lord Williams asked and it suddenly crossed my mind that I hadn’t thought that far about what would happen after I killed their new Alpha.
I haven’t thought of what I’d do to the pack now that their Alpha has been killed and everyone is curious about what I’d do to them.
I have no intention of taking over the pack either because I already have enough on my plate which leaves me with one option.
“If you did not make a decision soon, people would assume you plan on ruling the pack as well, and I doubt anyone would be pleased with it,” Lord Williams said.
It’s not like I cared about what the people would say but taking the responsibility of another pack is not an option either.
“What did you say Alpha Kane did to his family?” I asked.
“They are currently locked up. I guess he planned on killing them later,” Lord Williams answered, and a smile spread across my face.
“Well then, let’s go and have a word with Alpha Logan,” I ordered.
Lord Williams led the way to the prison where Alpha Logan was locked up. Now that Kane is gone, someone else must take his position and the only person I see befitting of that post is the person that the title belonged to originally.
The guard unlocked the door for us and we went to see Alpha Logan who was lying on the cold floor. His head snapped up the moment he noticed
my presence.
“Who are you? What are you doing here?” Alpha Logan asked as he rose to his feet to take a proper look at us.
“I’m sure you have never seen him before,” Lord Williams began. “This is Alpha Xander,” he said, pointing to me and judging from his reaction, I could tell that he had heard about me before.
“What are you doing here then? I mean… Kane is the new Alpha, I suppose. If you need anything, you should go over to him. There is only so little I can do being locked here, when I don’t even know what he plans on doing to us,” Alpha Logan said and Lord Willams looked at me as if asking for permission if he should tell him what happened.
I nodded my head, giving him my approval while Alpha Logan looked between Lord Williams and me out of curiosity.
“Alpha Kane is dead,” Lord Willimas announced and Alpha Logan seemed to be shocked at the news.
“What do you mean Kane is dead? What happened?” He looked between us as if he found it hard to believe what we were saying and Lord Williams began to explain things to him.
“Yes… he was killed the day he became the Alpha and all of this happened yesterday,” Lord Williams announced.
There were no signs of hurt or pain in Alpha Logan’s eyes when he heard about the death of his son, instead, he looked even more confused and interested to hear what happened.
“Who killed him? What did he do?” Alpha Logan asked and Lord Willimas cleared his throat.
“He was killed by Alpha Xander, hence, the pack belongs to him now but he has no use of the pack which is why we are here,” Lord Willams informed him.
Alpha Logan snapped his eyes to look at me in disbelief and a huge grin spread across his face.
“Is that true? Will you really be giving the pack back to me?” He asked with a grin on his face.
He didn’t seem to care about what Kane did that made me kill him, but then, he wouldn’t be locked up if they had a good relationship in the first place, so it’s all fair.
“I don’t have any reason to keep your pack,” I announced. “If you agree to work with me, then you can have your title back as well as continue to rule like you used to,” I muttered.
“Thank you so much for your help, Alpha Xander. You really don’t know how much this means to me,” Alpha Logan said gracefully and I nodded.

take over?” He asked with a frown.
“If you were going to kill him anyway, what was the point of helping him? What is your motive? I don’t think I want to have anything to do with you. I mean, if you can help Prince Kane become the Alpha and kill him to take over, who knows what you will do to me next?” A frown spread across his lips and I simply watched him speak.
“You might come back to hurt me too, so I think I would I will pass,” he finished.
“Don’t be such an ingrate! We came here to help you without you even asking and you have the nerve to run your mouth. Do you think Prince Kane would have spared you if he was alive? You should go on your knee and thank Alpha Xander for his mercy,” Lord Williams finished with a hiss.
“There is nothing to worry about,” I broke the silence and both of them turned to look at me. “We came here to give him an offer, but since he is not interested, we have no reason to be wasting our time anymore. Throw him back into the dungeon,” I ordered.
“Yes, Alpha,” Lord Williams nodded but before that could happen, Alpha Logan spoke up.
“Wait!” He yelled.
I turned to look at him with an unamused look and he cleared his throat. “Why did you decide to help us? What do you want in return? I don’t know what Prince Kane might have done, but I’m sure he deserved it. What do you want from me?” He asked and I chuckled.
“It’s simple. I want you to pledge your alliance to me and that you will do as told, and then you can have everything you lost back,” I assured him.
“Why should I believe that? What if you go back later and start demanding for things? Whoever killed the present Alpha deserved to be the new Alpha, hence your claims will be legit, plus you are way more powerful,” he pointed out.
“Which is more reason to accept my proposal. You have my words. I won’t rule the pack for you or try to interfere with your affairs. I don’t care about any of that,” I announced.
“If that is not the case, then what do you want?” He furrowed his brows as he asked.
“If by chance I need your help in the future, which I doubt because I am the Alpha of Alphas and I have never relied on anyone for help. But if that day comes, then I expect you to help without hesitation,” I ordered.
“Is that all?” Alpha Logan asked and I chuckled.
“You can go back to live like you used to because the pack is all yours now.”
A huge smile spread across Alpha Logan’s face as he thanked me but I didn’t wait anymore before leaving the prison.
“Are you sure you don’t want to ask for anything?” Lord Williams asked on our way out and I nodded.
“What could be possibly offer me in that condition?”
I went back into our room to see Maliya already prepared to leave as she waited for me to return to the bed.
“I think we have done enough here, let’s go,” I whispered as I held her hands gently, and I helped her get up.
