Caroline looked at Elizabeth's exaggerated performance, and disgust churned in her stomach.

"Aren't you tired? Don't you feel pathetic?" Caroline asked coldly. "I don't have time to act out this sisterly bond charade with you. Let go!"

She raised her hand and shook Elizabeth off with minimal effort, but Elizabeth let out a dramatic scream, "Ah!"

In the next moment, Elizabeth fell to the ground, feigning helplessness.

Before Caroline could react, David strode over, lifted Elizabeth, and without hesitation, delivered a harsh kick to the back of Caroline's knees.

Pain shot through Caroline's legs as her knees buckled, and she fell to the ground with a heavy thud.

It all happened so quickly that she had no chance to resist.

The sudden impact of her knees hitting the hard, unyielding ground sent a sharp pain through her body, forcing her to suck in a breath.

Caroline trembled all over, her hands twitching slightly. After a moment of hesitation, she let them fall to her sides.

"Kneel properly!"

David left those words behind before carrying Elizabeth into the Ellison residence.

Caroline remained kneeling at the grand entrance of the estate.

The sky had turned completely dark, the moonlight illuminating the area. She was supposed to be the lady of the house, but here she was, treated like this.

The patrolling security guards and the servants walking in and out all saw her kneeling there. What would they think? How would they judge me? After this, how would I ever hold my head high again in the Ellison residence?

But Caroline didn't have the energy to think about her pride or dignity anymore. All that mattered was how long she would have to kneel and when this torment would finally end.

She glanced at the sky. At least it didn't look like it would rain tonight.

Elizabeth had waited patiently for this moment to stomp on her, and it was clear she would find more ways to retaliate.

He removed her hands and called for the family doctor.

With others present, Elizabeth didn't dare push her limits, but her mind was racing, plotting how to seduce David.

Tonight was the perfect opportunity. If she let it slip by, there might not be another chance.

David felt guilty toward me. Caroline is kneeling outside and couldn't interrupt or cause trouble. It is night, and everything seemed to align perfectly. This is my moment to climb into David's bed. I couldn't wait any longer!

David sat in a single-seater sofa nearby, resting his head on his hand. His gaze was unfocused, fixed on some distant point.

Irritated, he lit a cigarette, took a puff, then let it rest between his fingers, untouched.

Elizabeth was sitting right next to him, but his thoughts were entirely occupied by Caroline, kneeling outside.
