Chapter 110 Pushed into the Examination Room

At the gate, the area was empty.

"Where is David?" Caroline asked. "Where is he?"

"What concerns Mr. Ellison is not something we can discuss."

Caroline was forced into the car, heading to a place she didn't know. She had no idea what awaited her next.

It wasn't until the car stopped at the entrance of a high-end private hospital that Caroline started to understand.

She was pregnant. Had Elizabeth revealed it?

Before she could even think or confirm, as soon as she stepped out of the car, doctors and nurses were already waiting at the door.

Nearby, there was a hospital bed. Caroline immediately tried to run, but she was surrounded by

bodyguards, tightly blocking her, leaving no room for escape!

She swallowed hard. "Where is David? I want to see David."

"Once your physical examination is complete, you will naturally see Mr. Ellison."

"No, I want to see him now!"

"Mr. Ellison said he won't meet with you for the time being."

Caroline froze, a chill running from her feet up to the rest of her body.

As expected, her earlier fears... were becoming a reality.

How could my life ever go smoothly? If I lay on that bed... would I be able to get up? And if I did get up, would I still be the same person?

Caroline stood still, refusing to move. The bodyguards swiftly picked her up, tying her hands and feet and securing her to the bed.

Then, doctors and nurses quickly wheeled her into the examination room. The door closed, and only then did David appear. His suit was slightly damp from the rain, but it didn't diminish his imposing presence. Before the results came in, he wouldn't meet with Caroline.

He didn't want to hear her explanations, nor did he want to give her the chance to make excuses.

He wanted the cold, hard truth-not to waste time listening to her ramble.

Caroline's mouth, although it couldn't speak the truth, was always good at fabricating stories.

David narrowed his eyes, staring at the light flashing from the examination room.

If... Caroline really was pregnant, how did she manage to avoid my mom's scrutiny last time? Who is the father of the child? When did she even cheat on me? I have no idea about it!

"Caroline, you'd better not have betrayed me."

David clasped his hands behind his back, coldness radiating from him, quietly waiting for the results. This night was destined to be restless.

The doctors and nurses he arranged, the hospital he chose, and he hadn't given Caroline any chance to prepare. Let's see, is Elizabeth lying, or has Caroline truly deceived me?

Inside the examination room. Caroline lay there without any dignity, her skirt lifted by the nurse. She wanted to say something, but the nurse expressionlessly pointed to the ceiling.

A camera. That meant full surveillance.

Everything she did, everything she said, would be clearly recorded.

David had prepared everything this time-he was determined to get to the bottom of it.

Caroline's heart was filled with despair. She couldn't hide it anymore.

Given the current situation, in less than five minutes, her pregnancy would be heard by David.

Caroline had always known her pregnancy wouldn't stay hidden for long, that one day, it would be discovered.

But she hadn't expected it to be exposed in such a way, under these circumstances, by Elizabeth.
