He tossed the remote aside. "Dinner's ready."
"I'm not hungry," Caroline replied. "I'm full from the fruit."
As she spoke, she reached for the remote again.
David glanced at her, eyes narrowing. "Are you going to get up yourself, or should I carry you?"
Caroline froze... Why is he being so unreasonable and domineering?
"I'm not... hungry," she emphasized, "You eat, don't worry about me."

After getting home from work, she had already had some marine collagen soup and fruit, and she felt like she was about to burst.
David didn't say anything more. He just picked her up in a horizontal position and started walking toward the dining room.
"Hey, hey, hey, David... You!"
The servants lowered their heads, noticing how much the couple's relationship had improved. They were becoming more open about their playful banter even at home.
Caroline had no idea what had gotten into David. He didn't care about her well-being before, but now he was suddenly worried about whether she'd eat.
"You're as light as a feather," David said with a slight smirk, "And still not eating properly."
He placed her in the dining chair, then reached for the spoon and bowl.
Caroline made a move to stand, but his other hand was firmly pressed on her shoulder. "Sit."
It looked like David was concerned about her. I should feel lucky, right?
But only she knew how tense every day had been, always walking on eggshells. When David was in a good mood, he would suddenly turn into the perfect husband like this.
But when he was in a bad mood, she knew she was in for trouble.
This scene made Caroline remember something. "Last time, when the Brooks family sent me breakfast, you did the same thing, pinned me to the seat."
David's movements paused for a moment. "Why didn't you eat back then?"
She countered, "Why did you insist that I eat?"
"Because you were guilty. You didn't dare eat," David replied. "Would the Brooks family really dare to poison you in front of me?"
"They really would."
:
"Impossible."

The abortion pills weren't poison, but they could kill the two lives inside her. But she couldn't let David know that.
"David, you always do this, forcing me to do things I don't want to do," Caroline said. "It's like when you make me obey you, it gives you a sense of accomplishment."
He seemed not to have heard her. He placed a full bowl of rice in front of her.
"Finish it."
Caroline frowned. "What if I can't finish it?"
"You will finish it."
She really wanted to throw the spoon.
But then, Paul spoke from the side, "Mr. Ellison is so considerate, noticing how thin his wife is, feeling so sorry for her, making sure she eats properly."
Caroline had indeed lost weight.
She wasn't sure wh
especially since she was pregnant with twins. Yet, her check-ups were still normal.
She was a bit undernourished, but she was supplementing, so she assumed it was from the stress at work.
The first set of the "Caroz" lotion and toner had been developed, but the results were still in the trial phase, and how well it would sell was still unknown.
Plus, she had to keep developing the next set of products. Feeling frustrated, Caroline picked up the spoon and poked at the rice, forcing herself to take a bite.
David glanced at her, then placed some vegetables on her plate.
"Don't!" She quickly stopped him. "I'll just eat the rice."
