Sir, Let’s Divorce by Victoria Nelson Chapter 61
Chapter 61
Chapter 61
Victoria met his gaze, stiled, and said, “I think it would be better for Mr. Shadwell to express it. He has a great reputation,
after all.”
Matthew gestured towards the table with his lengthy digits, then bowed his head and grinned. He seemed a bit perplexed. “Since you suggested I wager heavily…”
He abruptly approached her, leaned in close to her ear, and rasped, “If I’m victorious, tell me, who did you give birth to, eh?”
Victoria clenched her fists and said, “Matthew…”
“Haven’t you mentioned you wanted to make a large wager?”
“If you don’t have the courage to wager this much, then don’t gamble,” Matthew whispered in her ear.
Everyone only knew that their posture was ambiguous and didn’t catch a word of their conversation.
Upon witnessing this. Zion was greatly displeased. He strode to the center of the two and separated them. “Mr. Shadwell is a renowned individual. It is inappropriate for him to be touching girls in public, don’t you agree?”
Matthew took a few steps back, his eyes displaying impatience. “Shall I wager or not?”
Seeing that Matthew ignored him, Zion clenched his fists and said, “Mr. Shadwell…”
“Am I talking to you?” Matthew said impatiently, “Don’t test my patience.”
The air was thick with the pungent odor of gunpowder.
Victoria inhaled deeply, stepped forward, and declared, “Let’s wager.”
Those two words simply stirred up the air around her.
Zion grabbed her arm and said, “Victoria…”
Victoria comfortingly patted the back of his hand and whispered. “I noticed that Matthew’s level is quite impressive, but it’s not perfect…
Especially the few matches he had just had with Sarah, which resulted in her losing very badly, made Victoria see Matthew’s
weaknesses.
He is indeed very powerful and has a professional level, but after all, he has been running a business for the past few years, his focus being on the company, and any technology will deteriorate without regular training.
Victoria whispered a few words in his ear, Zion looked at her suspiciously, but nodded, “Alright, I trust you.”
Even if he didn’t believe her, there was nothing he could do; the bet was Victoria herself, and only she could decide.
The game started off at a fast pace.
The competition was straightforward, yet the atmosphere was highly charged.
Zion rubbed his wrist, then began.
The only sound that could be heard in the private room was that of the ball being struck.
Whenever Zion swung the bat, he would glance at Matthew, who was clearly anxious.
Matthew had no expression throughout, leisurely playing to his own rhythm, unconcerned with the outside world’s
reactions.
Victoria could only tell Zion. “This is a tactic too. Don’t let him get in the way and focus on hitting your own ball.”
Matthew’s eyes fell upon the intimate whisper of the two of them.
He curled his lips in a smile, yet his eyes remained unmoved.
The little bird had just been taught a lesson and now she was eager to take flight on her own.
Unfortunately, she had to face the consequences of her current actions.
Only after that did Zion settle and focus on addressing the present situation.
The two teams were neck and neck, with neither willing to give an inch to the other.
Despite being young and inexperienced, Zion was still superior here.
He was a regular at various billiard halls, and he had a certain level of expertise in the game.
After the table was served, he found that he was able to fight Matthew to a draw, and his hot–blooded spirit was aroused.

Victoria reminded him from the side, “Don’t take your adversary lightly. Stay focused.”
Zion stood tall and looked at her, “I want to beat him on my own…”
Victoria suddenly had a bad premonition. “Don’t act rashly, just do what I taught you before…
“No.”
Zion interjected. “Thank you for helping me comprehend his aim. Now is the time for me to dissect the score.”
