Shush & Marry Me

Chapter 008 The Seventh Young Lady of The Tan Family

Inside the VIP hotel room, Robin held his mobile phone and cautiously confirmed the message that was sent by someone. He
raised his head and said to the man who was eating at the dining table, “It’s interesting. Guess who owns the broken off-road
vehicle that we saw just now?”
Oliver ignored his nosiness, continued eating and drinking by himself. After being detained for a month, he severely lacked
physical strength. If it weren’t for his good physical quality before, he wouldn’t be able to tolerate hunger and thirst. The thugs
didn’t commit any violence. They only held him, starved him, hanging him on a stretch but didn’t let him die!
Robin was still the center of gossip. He told Oliver about the popular news, “Oliver, you’ve just returned from abroad shortly and
still hasn’t known much about Jincheng. You can just listen to what I say. The owner of the broken off-road vehicle is Victoria
Tan's, the seventh young lady of the Tan family of Jincheng. His father was a brave young man from a family of a general, the
youngest son of Senior General Tan, who sacrificed himself while fighting across the border and being chased as a martyr. Her
mother’s background is very ordinary, seemed like she’s a nurse in a hospital at the war zone."
“Why should I tell you about this? It’s because the circle in Jincheng quite often talks about that seventh young lady, from time to
time.”
Oliver looked up from the dining table and glanced at Robin. Robin stood up proudly, sat opposite him, and cleared his throat
before speaking, “You’re interested, right? In Jincheng, everything about the Tan family can be regarded as a major event.
Especially since you’ve just returned to Jiang family, you should know about it.”
“As for this seventh young lady, she’s obviously from a generous background, as she’s Senior General Tan’s youngest
granddaughter, his father also passed away early, who wouldn’t care for her in her family? Senior General Tan wanted her to
stay. But for her, she voluntarily changed her university and she went to Haicheng to study medicine for five years. More than a
year ago, she returned to Jincheng after graduating from the university and applied for an internship in Renxin Hospital.
Somehow she caused medical malpractice. The Tan family covered this matter, but Senior General Tan is upright and
straightforward. Anything that is supposed to happen, must happen. As a result of medical malpractice, the seventh young lady’s
doctor qualification certificate was revoked and she couldn’t become a doctor anymore.”
Robin sighed, “Generally, such a family like us, who would send their children to study medicine? The nobility ideal is one thing,
suffering and weariness is also one thing. I don’t know that seventh young lady’s way of thinking, so I admire her. Maybe she
really owns an angel heart that heals the wounded and rescues the dying! By the way, after the medical malpractice a year ago, I
have never seen her appeared in Jincheng. Why do you think she’s in Nanjin City?”

The knife and fork in Oliver’s hand stopped. No matter how delicious the food is, he still can’t stuff all of them in. He couldn’t
speak but he suddenly looked occupied with problems.
Robin suddenly clapped his hands loudly, as he came to realize, and thought of an important thing, “Oh, I know why Victoria
appeared in Nanjin City. The sixth young lady of the Tan family, Ashley Tan, is getting married. It’s normal for her to return and
attend her cousin’s wedding. Perhaps, your family will be attending the wedding that day and you’ll be able to meet that seventh
young lady by then.”
Victoria couldn’t sleep soundly on the soft hotel bed. She kept having a dream one after another, all of them were fragments from
the past.
No matter how she exiled herself, throughout a year, the one who appeared in her dream the most was Frank. How could she
forget about him?
Victoria saw the twenty-year-old Frank who wore a white shirt while sitting on the grass in the park and reading. It was a thick
book specialized in pathology. He slightly lowered his head while reading intently and carefully.
The sunshine of March brushed his face and every petal of begonia fell on his short hair and shoulders. His eyebrows slightly
frowned with his lips lightly pressed together. The silhouette of his face was clean and fine like a dream.
The seventeen-year-old Victoria was in a daze as she saw this. She took the camera, then clicked the shutter.
As he heard the sound, Frank looked at her. He wasn’t harsh and didn’t question her. Those cool and clear eyes had made
Victoria completely fell. Her heart skipped a beat. At that moment, she heard the sound of love knocking on the door.
Growing up in an old and well-known general family and mixed in with a compound full of boys in her family, Victoria liked
someone for the first time. At first, she just took every picture of him. She candidly snapped a picture of him, stole a picture of
him, followed him, and later she became greedier as she came closer to him. She wanted to take the close-up of his face, his
chest, his hands, and she even felt that every strand of his hair was so beautiful.
Finally, as she got closer, Frank became annoyed. He reached out and blocked her camera lenses to let her not overdo
something and got away.
Victoria was bold. She was bold since young and asked boldly, “I used to like photography the most. But now, I like you the most.
Can you be my boyfriend?”

Frank turned his head in a slight surprise and looked at her in high school uniform, before shaking his head and said, “No, I don’t
like a high school student. Go away, don’t disturb my reading time.”
After she’s rejected, she didn’t give up, and still went to the park to find Frank every day.
Her seventeen-year-old feeling didn’t have any ulterior motives. It was just a simple crush. As long as she could see him, no
matter near or far, and it’s even fine just by looking at his back. White shirt, black hair, his focused expression, his slightly
frowning eyebrows, his every distinguished feature only belonged to him.
He’s clean and fine, better than any boy that she had ever met. She wanted to hold his hands.
She stared at the book that he read, and asked with a smile, “You’re a medical student, Frank. My mother used to be a nurse but
I like photography. Later when you become a doctor, I can take the picture of you in a white coat and operation table.”
She didn’t understand the situation in the operating room and the strict medical study. She really wanted to speak with him and
chased him as she saw him finished reading and stood up. Even when there’s no topic, she looked for one and talked about their
future.
Before Frank became her boyfriend, she was already thinking about their future. In her smooth life, she had never thought of one
thing seriously.
Frank was so cold and arrogant as he walked away without looking back. With his long legs and quick steps, he quickly left her
far behind without taking any of her words in his mind.
Growing up in the compound, Victoria’s childhood friends were all boys. Even when it was strict, Bryan, Mark, and the others
dared to go anywhere after they turned sixteen and seventeen. They went drinking at the nightclubs. Ganging up and getting into
a fight was a common thing.
Finding out that she was rejected after her confession, Bryan brought several of his childhood friends. He brought several strong
ones from the compound then stopped Frank on the road then forced Frank to acknowledge Victoria as his girlfriend.
Frank’s temper was similar to his. He was always stubborn and unyielding. The more he’s forced to, the more he refused to give
in and rejected it very simply.
Then, he was beaten up by Bryan and the others.

With Bryan and the other’s help, not only failed Victoria’s wish, but also made Frank even more repulsive towards her. He was
indifferent with his wounded face and bruises on the corner of his mouth, still looked arrogant, and warned, “Such a young lady
like you, don’t make jokes about me anymore. You can find the others to have fun and don’t come looking for me anymore!”
“I’m not joking, I’m serious,” Victoria explained. She had never had a feeling as serious as what she felt for Frank. She had even
planned her future life, later she would follow Frank closely!
“What my friends did was wrong. I’ll teach them a lesson, it was my mistake.” She tried to explain anxiously, “They are too nosy!”
Frank sneered at her, “Stay away from me. I’m also serious!”
“What should I do to make you believe that I really like you?” She was almost forced to cry. For the first time in her life, she’s
crying to tears. The one that she liked the most didn’t believe her feelings.
Frank glanced at the camera that was hanging on her neck, then closed the medical book in his hand, and seriously nodded,
“Well, if you can pass the test of Haicheng Medical School, get into my school and my department, give up photography to study
clinical medicine, I’ll believe you.”
For a girl who studied art and took photography as her biggest hobby in life, to let her study clinical medicine was a difficult road
to choose and not something that anyone would choose.
Seeing her with her eyes wide open, Frank smiled instead, and looked at her condescendingly, before mocking, “Didn’t you say
that you like me the most and like the photography the second? Why, did you just randomly say that you like me the most? I can
also say anything randomly, but can you do it?”
That handsome Frank that was still very handsome even when he’s injured, mocked her coldly. He only wanted to drive her away
so that she would never bother him anymore.
