YBTM | Chapter 20
***Triggers in this chapter*** **1 Week Later** **Violet**
Waking up, I rolled over not feeling anything on the bed. Taking a deep breath, I know that I am all alone. I lie on my back, taking in the time I have to myself. Staring at the ceiling, I heard the door open. Popping my head up, I saw a woman in a maids uniform come in.
"Morning ma'am." She smiles, walking in with a try of food. "Here is your breakfast." She sets it on the bed over my lap. "Thank you..." I said, confused.
"Oh, forgive me." She laughs lightly. "My name is Mary. I'll be assisting you while your husband is out of town." "Out of town?"
"Yes. He called and said he had an urgent matter to be dealt with and had me come over."
"Oh. When will he be back? Did he say?" I asked, trying to get answers. Now I know what all those phone calls he was getting were for. He had always been on his phone the past few days and didn't seem to like what he had seen. Thankfully, he did not take it out on me. He would just go to what I assumed was his office, and be in there for hours. He would come out when it was time for 'bed' and reeked of alcohol.
"Sorry ma'am." She shook her head. "You should eat before it gets cold."
"I'm not hungry, but thank you."
"Ma'am, Mr. DiBiase gave specific instructions that you eat and eat well."
"I don't care." I refused, moving the tray off my lap and to the side of the bed.
"He said to call if there is an issue..." She took out her phone and started typing.
"No!" I stopped her, moving the tray back to my lap. "I'll eat." I picked up the fork and started to eat.
She smiles before nodding and walking out of the room. Even though I did not want to eat, the french toast she brought looked and smelled delicious.
"For you baby." I looked down, rubbing my stomach.
I started to eat and it was better than it looked. Before I knew it, there was nothing left, so I moved onto the eggs and bacon before drinking the orange juice. Once I was finished, I set the tray to the side, lay on my back and rubbed my stomach. Letting the food settle, I started to feel a lot better. Better than I have in weeks. Hearing the door open, I looked up to see Mary walking back in. "All done, ma'am." She walked over, grabbing the tray.
"I am." I smiled at her. "It was delicious. Thank you." I sat up on the bed and stretched. I turned to the side, placing my legs over the side of the bed to get up. "Ma'am..."
"Please don't call me that."
"Mrs. DiBiase."
"Ma'am is fine." I quickly corrected her. I involuntarily shivered at being called that.
"Okay ma'am. You need to rest." She walks over to the bed and tries to get me back in.
"I've rested enough. I want to get up and move around. Maybe go to the pool." I gently moved her out of my way and got up.
"Your husband won't be too happy..." Her voice filled with concern.
"Let me worry about him. You've done enough. Thank you." I kindly dismissed her. Bowing her head, she takes my tray and leaves the room. I then walked over to my closet, walked in and found a swimsuit to wear. The sun was bright and high in the sky and I was going to enjoy this moment while he was gone.
Walking through the halls, I didn't see anyone else. Cody must have been with him. Good. I don't want to be alone with him. I made my way down the stairs and through the living room, seeing the cameras on TV. Glancing at them, they were all empty expect for me in the living room. Taking one last look, I headed to the kitchen to get a water from the fridge. Closing the fridge, I jumped when I saw someone.
"Sorry ma'am." Mary apologized.
"It's alright." I laughed lightly, hand on my chest. "You're so quiet."
"Yes ma'am." She smiles softly. "You forgot a towel." She reached out and handed me a towel.
"Thank you." I smiled at her. I turned around and walked out to the pool area, put my water on the table and the towel on the back of the lounger before lying down in the warm sun. **Ted**
Looking at my phone, I smirked at seeing Violet lying there in that skimpy swimsuit. She thinks I'm away, but really, I'm still on the island, just on the other side taking care of a few business issues. Staring at her for a bit longer, I heard the voices getting louder.
"We need to deal with this!" One of my headmen said. Yes, Cody was my second, but I needed him at the house, so I have my most trusted men here with me.
"It's being handled. Everything is under control." I said calmly. I was sure Ashley had everything sorted out by now. Once I saw shipments went missing again, I tore into her. She knew she had better have everything figured out by today or my men would be paying her and her family a visit.
"You had better be right about this."
"I am. I'm the best in this business. No one can compete with me." I smirked. I am one of the best when it comes to arms deals and it wasn't going to change any time soon. As soon as I found the fucker messing with everything, they would be dealt with.
"All is going according to plan." My other man said, walking into the room. I knew Ashley would get her act straight. A little threat to a family member always did the trick. "Good." I grinned. "I told you."
"You did."
"Now that things are all settled here, I have other things to take care of." I said, standing from my chair and walking out of the room. Picking up my phone, I made a call.
"Update." I demanded as I poured myself a glass of bourbon before the next meeting. These meetings were getting stressful with the possible mole in my group.
"Still following." They replied instantly.
"Good." I grinned. "They don't suspect?"
"Not a thing."
"Excellent. Keep it up. I'll be in touch." I smiled evilly as I hung up the phone. "You maybe smart but, I'm smarter." I chuckled to myself as I sipped my drink, enjoying the burn in my throat. I turned back and headed back into the meeting. I couldn't wait to get these over with so I could get back to my girl.
**Mike**
"We've got to be getting close!" I impatiently said. We have been following them for days and every time we get close, they seem to be one step ahead of us. I swear if my source was lying, I was putting a bullet in their head. "We've had them dead to rights so many times. How do they stay one step ahead?!"
"He's got to know we're on to them." Nicole says with worry in her tone.
"They can't. We've been very careful not to be seen by them."
"I don't know..." She bites her lip.
"They've got to be here. My sources tell me they came here a few hours ago." I say as we pull into a city called, Whitebridge, Kansas.
We drove all over the town, looking for a hotel. Finding one, we pulled in and went to get a room. Getting to the room, Nicole gets on her computer and does some research on the area for any leads as to where they could be. She was a genius when it came to this stuff and I knew if anyone could find anything, it would be her.
**Violet**
Feeling the hot sun on my skin, I shift and roll over on my back. As much as I hate it here, I do love the weather. I lay there, taking in all the sun and relaxation I could before Ted came back. This has not happened in a long time. Maybe he's starting to trust me again? Not like I have anywhere to go, with the cameras and his men all over the place. Suddenly, I heard footsteps as the sun was blocked from my view. "I'm good Mary." I said, not opening my eyes. I then began to feel the warmth of the sun, Mary moving out of the way.

"W-what are you doing here?" I propped myself up, squinting my eyes.
"Same as you. Tanning." He holds his arm out, taking in the sun.
"No. Why aren't you with Ted?"
"I don't go everywhere with him."
"You should." I muttered.
"What?" Cody snapped.
"...nothing." I mumbled, getting up and wrapping my towel around me.
"Where are you going?" Cody grabs my wrist.
"Inside." I pulled my hand back. "Not in the tanning mood." I rolled my eyes and walked into the house. I walked into the house through the kitchen, getting a water on my way. I heard footsteps behind me and tried to quicken my pace. I made it to the stairs and up them as the footsteps got closer.
"Don't touch me!" I moved my body forward, trying to avoid him. Reaching the room, I get my hand on the handle, then feel an arm go around me.
"Got you." Cody whispers in my ear.
"Cameras." I warn.
"I know all the blind spots." I felt him smirk against my neck.
"You better get off or I'll scream." I threatened him even though I was trembling on the inside.
"Go ahead." He nips at my neck. "Ted's not here to help you." He runs his tongue over my skin, making me shiver.
"Ma-" I started to scream, Cody clamping down on my mouth.
"Uh uh uh." He taunts, as I try to scream under his hand.
Tears start to fall down my face as he moves his hand from my side, up and down my thigh. He continues to move his tongue over my neck as his hand goes further and further up my thigh. I started to move in his hold, his hand getting tighter on my mouth. He slowly starts to nip and suck at my skin, trying to get a reaction out of me. I bite my lip as hard as I can, not wanting to give in. The further his hand moves up my thigh, the more I want him to stop. He gets to a spot on my neck and I get tense, not being able to keep it in anymore. Feeling him smirk against my neck, I knew he got what he wanted. He slowly moves from my neck up to my ear.
"More later." His breath was hot and heavy on my ear.
He then lets me go and slowly starts to back away from me. I opened the door to the room, walking in and slamming it before locking it. I walk right over to the bed, climb in and wrap the covers all around myself. "Mike..." I whimpered. "...please find me." I buried my face in the pillow and sobbed.
